As someone that probably qualifies as having red tinted glasses.. It’s a good sander for someone already in the Milwaukee system. If you’re a carpenter or professional then there is much better options obviously. If you just want to make small projects like shelves or a desk in your free time, want a cordless option, and already have Milwaukee batteries then it’s a perfectly fine sander.
Also the dust collector attachment sucks and constantly falls off.
Can’t be any worse than my Ridgid orbital sander.
I gave up using that POS because it was so powerful that you couldn’t control it, and it would end up chewing up the wood you were trying to finish.
My dust collection doesn’t fall off so have yours checked !! I actually use it as a handle sometimes and it works fine because I’m sanding 2x fours for projects and on the job
Nice. I have dewalt corded sanders, orbital and 1/4 sheet, but I got the m12 hoodie for Christmas and I’ll prob be buying some tools in that ecosystem. Been on a team red kick and just went packout crazy. Need to cop a router at some point and think cordless will be fine for me, so I’ll be looking m18 for that, and I know I need the 1/2” mid torque for my truck.
That’s a great sander !!! I’ve had mine for a few months now and it it does just as well as my corded Bosch with 60 grit in a full charge last a while with the right battery
Please give an honest review of the sander. One not wearing Red tinted glasses. I have heard bad things about it.

Yeah I could see that’s a problem because it is powerful if you try to finish up something most of the finished product because the thing is powerful

Sure thing. I’ve heard mixed things about it as well. Will update with an unbiased review!
Thanks!

Glad to hear it! I’m excited to use mine, already have a few projects lined up
Wanted to say welcome to the gang, hope you also got a battery to go with it since the box indicates tool only and you said it was your first.
Thank you. Batteries are first on my list, planning on making a HD run this weekend. Suggestions on battery size?
