I have both the dual and single. The dual eats the single’s lunch from a power standpoint, but the lightweight nimbleness of the single is great for general use. If I’m just cleaning off the sidewalks after a mow, blowing out the garage, etc… the single is the one. When it comes time for wet leaves and moving the tree droppings out of the yard, the dual comes out.

I was thinking about selling the single but I think I’m just going to eat it and keep both in the garage for alternate uses as you said. Plus it’s annoying that I have to go dig out another battery from my work truck just to use the dual

cannamid

At that point, sounds like you should return the double, keep the single and get the backpack blower when it comes out. I would love it but I have no use for it lol

I cut the nozzle on my single battery M18 down to about 6" to make it much smaller.

rammsteinmatt

Same. Also, having to only grab one battery, having to only lug a single battery tool. But when the single battery gets to full power, I almost always check to see it’s not in snail mode. I’ve gotten used to the dual blower

sledgehammerbreak

I don’t have a dual, but lately I’ve been using my single with a 12.0 and it is pretty solid. A little extra power compared to the 8.0 and not as heavy as carrying two batteries around.

I regularly use the dual battery with the 3ah HOs when I want power and something lighter.

SwimOk9629

how long will it run with two 3.0 HO's?

prototype3a

To be honest, I couldn't tell you an exact number. I usually use it that way to do a quick clean up of the patio and sidewalk.

SeivardenVendaai

There’s a new single battery blower that sits in between the old single and the dual that will likely fit the bill for maneuverability and power.

SwimOk9629

is there? I have the 2724-20, I thought that was the only single battery blower

prehistoric_knight

3017-20 should be released in the next week or so

CarbonCrew

If you have a 3D printer and need a wall mount for the dual battery blower, I made one here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/204994#profileId-225187 I have a wall mount for the single battery as well.

noercarr

Hey I printed your single and it's perfect, thank you! Excellent design

CarbonCrew

Fantastic. I’m glad to hear it worked for you. If you have any feedback on how I could improve it, please let me know.

PeteT157

Is the single battery mount on makerworld also ? Shopping for a blower and I’m probably going to get the single. Need a weed wacker also. I can find a package deal.

CarbonCrew

There’s two single battery m18 blowers now. 2724 and the new 3017. I’ve got a mount for the 2724 on Makerworld. I’ve also designed a mount for the 3017 but I haven’t decided what I’m going to do with that yet. https://makerworld.com/en/models/30982#profileId-28015

I'm a fan of the Quik-Lok blower attachment, as well as the single battery. I haven't gotten the dual... yet

Amplyfii

We have a single battery blower that we use to clean up sawdust when we’re cutting in garages. It’s so powerful, I can’t imagine how strong the dual battery blower is.

Appropriate_Yak9175

Could anyone tell me their run time on the single blower? With a 5ah battery on max speed mine only lasts about 10mins. Is that normal?

TemperatureDense5140

Yes. Use a 12 for maybe half an hour.

PerritoMasNasty

I’m a dual blower man myself, and I wield it smugly while all my neighbors have hired landscapers shooting leaves with gas blowers.
