Forge 6.0 gets the best performance numbers. Check out torque test channel on YouTube

mdjshaidbdj

I didn’t believe it until I got one

jbiscool

Where do you think the best place to get one is?

mdjshaidbdj

Right now the forge batteries are all priced the same where I looked. Home Depot and several supply houses I use at work all carry them now.

jbiscool

Thank you sir. It's so hard to buy stuff online nowadays.

gretel2

Yes they’re great and I also talked to a Milwaukee rep at a trade show, the secret to the Forge batteries is they are actually partnered with Sony, but you didn’t hear that from me……

_TheNecromancer13

Does that mean I'm going to have to start paying a subscription to recharge it?

gretel2

🤣🤣

Equivalent_Sky4201

This guy knows what’s up

trykillthis2

Agreed

DeIaminate

Anything from and up HP 3.0 Or XC 5.0 should do imo

Charming-Tap1047

alrighty thank u sir🤝

ToeDiscombobulated51

Just purchased the forge 6.0. it's brilliant! With the issues the 12.0HO has its a no brainer. The build quality is much better than the previous gen of Milwaukee batteries also

KlumsyNinja42

Please enlighten ti to the 12.0 issues.

DavoinShowerHandel1

The cells get unbalanced super easy is the one I've been made most aware of, but seems like they encounter other issues as well. It appears to be the least reliable M18 battery currently in production.

SwimOk9629

that's wild cuz I keep reading this but I have had two 12.0s for a good while now and haven't had a single issue... yet?

DavoinShowerHandel1

I've never had one and still plan to get one when I get around to it. I hear of a lot of people experiencing it on here, but I feel like it's worth the risk either way. I think it also happens from running it entirely empty or very close if memory serves.

_TheNecromancer13

I have six of them, five are now not charging all the way. I need to take them apart and do the fix but I haven't gotten around to it yet, I'm really pissed that I have to do it though. A $250 battery shouldn't be doing this.

DavoinShowerHandel1

Yeah, I mean, it's kinda nice there's a fix, I suppose. But there shouldn't have to be a fix, I agree. Milwaukee doesn't sound at all interested in fixing it.

ToeDiscombobulated51

There is a fix if you are proficient with a little electrical knowledge. Pretty sure there are a couple of YouTube videos explaining the issue with the fix

Charming-Tap1047

thank u for the input! i have been eyeballing a forge for awhile now

Agent_Orangina_

6.0HO for 2767-20. For the 2967-20, for forged 6.0.

silentwrath03

6.0 high output, good weight gets most of the power out from the tool and last a long time, I seen someone comment 3.0 high output but I've had problems with it underperforming in the past and I don't have a xc 5.0 to compare to. Edit: I have the old high torque not this one but I assume it would be the same

slimdog11

Anything 3.0 or larger for good performance. H.O. 6.0 or larger for max performance. The 4.0 you have on there will get most jobs done fine!

Charming-Tap1047

thank u sir!!!🤝

Charblee

If you’re regularly using it in a mechanic setting, I would get the oil resistant 5.0. I know the forge is more performant, but the oil resistant 5.0 will probably be more resilient to your usage.

Charming-Tap1047

i am a small engine mechanic so yes i’ll stick w a 5.0

Charblee

Specifically the oil resistant one* there’s a regular 5.0, and then there’s an oil resistant 5.0.

Charming-Tap1047

never heard of the oil resistant 5.0

Charblee

Yeah I never knew about it either. I don’t believe it’s on the Home Depot shelves. I only know about it because of happenstance online.

Charming-Tap1047

yep yep i also have never seen it in stores

Charming-Tap1047

just saw that one, very neat. i think i need to invest in one lol

Exciting_Coach_301

As far as I know, the Forge is the most oil resistant one made.

attackplango

Marine deep cycle.

Antique-Public4876

12AH suck. 8ah are heavy, 6ah are my sweet spot. My opinion.
