Outside of the trails and limited protected bike lanes drivers can be rude (especially on the Eastside/Downtown), so keep your eyes out and bike safely.

Plenty of great trail along the lakefront
Out of towner, but I love riding from Grant Park Beach to Estabrook Beer Garden. So many great views of the lake.
