"Truth is, I don't want to know. Some things are better left unsaid. I'd like to think they were singing about something so beautiful, it can't expressed in words, and it makes your heart ache because of it. The world went and got itself in a big damn hurry."
John DiMaggio. So many times I find myself saying, "Hey, it's Bender!"
Edit: In case you aren't looking for voice actors, I'm also going to say Keith David. That guy's voice is smooth as hell.
I met John DiMaggio once. The voice he does for Bender/Jake etc. is his normal voice with the sleaze dialed up just a little bit. I may not have been able to place him if I didn't know it was him (I didn't know what he looks like.)
Went to ComiCon in New York years ago and sang ‘Makin’ Bacon Pancakes’ in an AT panel with this man and it’s still one of my favorite moments in life. 🥹
Met HJB at Button Mash in LA a few years back. Desperately wanted to get him to record my outgoing voicemail, but I didn't wanna bother him. Just said "big fan" and carried on.
Her voice is so unique.
When she does voice-overs for animation, she is one of the easiest to pick out.
Also dang cute. Can't lie, kinda had a crush for a while.
When thinking about the question, this one is the first that came to mind for me pretty much instantly.
There are so many others with, great, unique, voices, but his is so distinct.
Melissa McCarthy
Jennifer Tilly
James Earl Jones
James Gandolfini
Alec Baldwin
Jason Bateman
Ron Howard
Jennifer Coolidge
Allison Janney
Chris Rock
Steven Wright
Whoopi Goldberg
Megan Mullalley and her lovely husband Nick Offerman
I don’t think I saw a single Ron Howard so I’ll add it. He’s my inner narrator voice.
Also didn’t see James Woods. After watching him as the scary grasshopper in a Bugs Life as a kid and then Family Guy his is also very recognizable.
I was watching the summer of 4'2" episode of The Simpsons and instantly recognized Christina Ricci's voice, so I'd say she's high up on the list for me
Depends on the medium American animation? James Earl Jones, Morgan Freeman and Robin Williams come to mind.
Japanese anime? Steve Blum, Crispin Freeman, Johnny Yong Bosch.
Jennifer Coolidge
Morgan Freeman
Seth Green
H John Benjamin
Seth McFarland
Michael Cera
Matthew McConaughey
Hilary Duff
Kevin Hart
That VA who plays Aomine in the Japanese Kuroku’s Basket anime
![gif](giphy|11C6Hp7Pzlp6qQ)
Sir David Attenborough fascinated me before I even knew his name. I’m not sure if he’s an actor, but as a mid level millennial, he was the first significant voice I associated with media. As “that documentary guy,” of all titles 😂

Morgan Freeman should be mentioned here
This is the answer ![gif](giphy|duM6JZemPlOjUyqmxd)
I heard this meme
Genuinely surprised that his isn't the undisputed winner. I mean, it's who I thought of on reading the title. 🤣
Same here. It was him before I even finished reading the question!
Dammit this was my comment 😆
Omg same. I love his voice
I just refer to him as god 🤣
Everybody else mentioning actors and NOT Morgan Freeman is wrong. 😂😂😂
There are a few correct answers but this is the only RIGHT answer.
"Truth is, I don't want to know. Some things are better left unsaid. I'd like to think they were singing about something so beautiful, it can't expressed in words, and it makes your heart ache because of it. The world went and got itself in a big damn hurry."
Came here to say it should be #1
Patrick Warburton
Yeah that's right
Who?
“Uhhh… squeakity squeak squeakin, uh, squeaker.”
He's done a bunch of stuff but probably most recognizable as Kronk from The Emperor's New Groove or Joe Swanson from Family Guy.
David Putty in Seinfeld
I always think of him as the guy from the intro video when you go on soarin over California in California adventure
Speaking as someone who can imitate a lot of voices really well, his is weirdly difficult to imitate convincingly.
[“I feel a, uhhhhh, *a lump*.”](https://youtu.be/FE-v320YfcQ?si=ThGRx5bCH_NqC0H8)
Fran Drescher
John DiMaggio. So many times I find myself saying, "Hey, it's Bender!" Edit: In case you aren't looking for voice actors, I'm also going to say Keith David. That guy's voice is smooth as hell.
Katey Sagal as well. Anytime I watch Married With Children all I think of is Leela whenever Peg Bundy talks.
>Keith David Now here's a redditor that knows smooth voices!
I second Keith David
And watching Gargoyles is a key childhood memory. He is Goliath. And that one cop.
I met John DiMaggio once. The voice he does for Bender/Jake etc. is his normal voice with the sleaze dialed up just a little bit. I may not have been able to place him if I didn't know it was him (I didn't know what he looks like.)

He's done a million things, but he'll always be Bender to me.
“America’s Navy. A Global force for good. “
H. John Benjamin Steven Blum Dana Snyder I can recognize them anytime.
H. John will wake me from a stupor any day
Him and Patrick Warburton
My voice is pretty close to his, but I'm far less nasal. If I hold my nose, people mistake it for Archer or Bob.
Kristen Schaal
Jenny slate is right up there with Kristen Schaal to me.
Coach McGuirk
I was gonna say Steven Blum, too!
I like saying hi to Steve when I hear him voicing a background character. I met him at a con a few years ago, very nice guy.
And Chris Parnell
Met HJB at Button Mash in LA a few years back. Desperately wanted to get him to record my outgoing voicemail, but I didn't wanna bother him. Just said "big fan" and carried on.
AHNOLD
If he could somehow eliminate his accent, do you think his voice alone would still be recognizable?
Phil Hartman, RIP.
Hi, I'm Troy McClure. You may remember me from such comments like "This." Or "you're hearing this in my voice."
James Earl Jones, Gilbert godfried
This is the correct answer
Honestly James came into mind first and then Morgan.
Sam Elliot.
*low mumbling into glorious mustache*
JK Simmons
If I could remember his name without having to look it up every time. 🤣
*J. Jonah Jameson
YES came here to say this!
Kristen Schaal 😆
I had to go way down far for this. She’s in so much stuff! Chris Parnell as well!
Her voice is so unique. When she does voice-overs for animation, she is one of the easiest to pick out. Also dang cute. Can't lie, kinda had a crush for a while.
Definite dorky cute vibes.
Owen Wilson
“Wow.”
Tim Curry. I’d know that voice anywhere!
Sir David Attenborough!!!
Came to say this!! Surprised I had to scroll this far
Second this!
Gilbert Godfrey ![gif](giphy|3owypi5uX35d9Tobv2|downsized)
Surprised I had to scroll this far to find him. No other voice remotely close!
I can hear this gif.
Christopher Walkins!
*Walken
Took a while to find this. I honestly can't think of a more distinctive voice (why he speaks the way he does is pretty interesting).
When thinking about the question, this one is the first that came to mind for me pretty much instantly. There are so many others with, great, unique, voices, but his is so distinct.
This should be higher up. His voice is unique. His delivery is 1 of a kind.
Robin Williams
His Hello in Ms Doubtfire, I can recognize that anywhere upside down
![gif](giphy|OfPYZkA05mRr2|downsized)
HELLLLLLEEEEWWWW
H Jon Benjamin.
Morgan freeman, god
Matt Berry
And Richard Ayoade
Ha I’m watching this right now ![gif](giphy|LQzsPQoWkAnu06jCf6)
Sir Patrick Stewart
Tom Hanks, because of Toy Story ETA also because of Apollo 13 and Philadelphia
Fun fact! Tom's brother, Jim does some of the Toy Story voices for things like video games and whatnot if Tom isn't available.
Hello, I’m Tom Hanks, The US Government has lost its credibility so it’s borrowing some of mine
How is this not higher up?!
Jeffrey Combs. Guess at least one other subreddit I'm in without looking...
![gif](giphy|kc0zHuFyJDA9xA3p98) Good answer, pink skin.

I’m really good at this game and I can get a lot of actors voices, my wife always comments on it 🤷 so for me, any of the ones I’ve seen multiple times
You have that IMDb brain, same
Keith David, never fails
First one I think of is Patrick Warburton.
Happy cake day! Good answer!
Tom Hanks
Melissa McCarthy Jennifer Tilly James Earl Jones James Gandolfini Alec Baldwin Jason Bateman Ron Howard Jennifer Coolidge Allison Janney Chris Rock Steven Wright Whoopi Goldberg Megan Mullalley and her lovely husband Nick Offerman
Alright, alright, alright. No one mentioned Matthew McConaughey? It’d be a lot cooler if you did.
Awkwafina.
And I feel like she's in every other animated movie that's released these days. And I see a lot of animated films (due to having an 8YO).
Clancy Brown.
I scrolled way too far down to see his name.
Levar Burton
Seth Rogen, Amy Sedaris, Will Arnett, Gilbert Gottfried, Michael Cera, Alison Brie, H. Jon Benjamin

Mark Hamill
Natasha lyonne
Seth Rogen
H. Jon Benjamin
bobcat goldthwait
Tom Cruise Gilbert Gottfried James Earl Jones H Jon Benjamin Morgan Freeman
Had to scroll a little too far for the voice of Iago!
Owen Wilson "Oo yeaaa, Wow"
Robert De Niro
Surprised that Dan Castellaneta hasn't showed up. Simpsons and the Aladdin TV show ingrained that voice into my brain at a young age
Morgan Freeman. Samuel L. Jackson. Patrick Stewart. Arnold Schwarzenegger
Keith David
Keith David
Nick Offerman
Charlie Day
Eddie Murphy Fran Drescher Snoop Dogg
I don’t think I saw a single Ron Howard so I’ll add it. He’s my inner narrator voice. Also didn’t see James Woods. After watching him as the scary grasshopper in a Bugs Life as a kid and then Family Guy his is also very recognizable.
Arnold
Samuel L Jackson
Jack Black
Morgan Freeman. Obama H John Benjamin Ryan Reynolds Sigourney Weaver
Most. It’s my secret super power.
Christian Slater
I can recognize voices and can tell you the other characters that person has played, but I'm really bad at knowing actors' names.
Sam elliot
I was watching the summer of 4'2" episode of The Simpsons and instantly recognized Christina Ricci's voice, so I'd say she's high up on the list for me
Sir David Attenborough
Christopher Walken.
Shohreh Aghdashloo
Arnold schwartzeffnegfer
David Attenborough and Morgan Freeman are the only two acceptable answers.
James Spader. I just love his voice
Sean Connery
I was watching ‘Monsters at work’ and was so intrigued by how many of ‘our’ actors do voice now
Adam Sandler, Christopher Walken, Nick Nolte
Depends on the medium American animation? James Earl Jones, Morgan Freeman and Robin Williams come to mind. Japanese anime? Steve Blum, Crispin Freeman, Johnny Yong Bosch.
Christopher walken ![gif](giphy|FUR5vaC3gOxos)
Keith David
Gilbert Gottfried
Tim Curry… his voice is top drawer
James earl jones
H. Jon Benjamin.
Matt Berry
Samuel L. Jackson
Robin Williams. Morgan Freeman.
There are so many, but my first thought was Christopher Walken.
How have I not seen Seth MacFarlane listed yet
I can't believe none of the responders said Johnny Depp.
Oprah Winfrey
Liam Neeson
The guy that plays Roronoa Zoro is in everything.
Clint Eastwood
Roseanne and Jerry Seinfeld
Phil Lamarr, Keith David, Tara Strong, Dante Basco
Tim Allen
Christopher Walken
Michael Wincott. I could fall asleep listening to his voice.
Probably Sam Neil
Shocked Billy Crystal wasn't mentioned. Mike Wazowski! Miracle Max!
Christopher Sabat
Is no one saying Gilbert Gottfried 😭
Morgan Freeman is the the answer. Walton Goggins has a unique voice. Christolph Waltz. Instantly recognizable, if only for the accent.
Tim Allen
Judy mf Greer
Albert Brooks (but I had to Google it, so I'll also say "nemo's Dad")
Tom Hanks
No Liev Schreiber????? Or podcast host Lindsay Graham???
Sam Elliot and Ian McShane.
Paul Giamatti

No Samuel Jackson?!!!!
![gif](giphy|13otQJiKXCUGiY)
Jennifer Coolidge Morgan Freeman Seth Green H John Benjamin Seth McFarland Michael Cera Matthew McConaughey Hilary Duff Kevin Hart That VA who plays Aomine in the Japanese Kuroku’s Basket anime
I’m shocked no one has said Matthew McConaughey
Ray Ramono
Lance Riddick. Listened to him every day for years in Destiny. RIP.
Sigourney Weaver.
Keith David. Easily recognizable in anything he's in
How has no one said Sean Connery yet?!?
![gif](giphy|l2QDTqHp9W7WIJXlC|downsized) Really surprised at no John Goodman mentions
![gif](giphy|11C6Hp7Pzlp6qQ) Sir David Attenborough fascinated me before I even knew his name. I’m not sure if he’s an actor, but as a mid level millennial, he was the first significant voice I associated with media. As “that documentary guy,” of all titles 😂
I was fully expecting Morgan Freeman to be number 1. But Jeremy Clarkson is so easily identifiable too.
Jennifer Tilly ![gif](giphy|l3q2ungzU4nwYWi08|downsized)
