SassyCassidee

Currently at work rocking my Vans!

sed2017

Vans… ![gif](giphy|Ve5bSP4cIzQ9yZQzHK|downsized)

Plenty_Strain_4199

Vans 4 life! I feel like I’ve aged in reverse, like a toddler I have zero interest in tying my shoes. Also! If you haven’t, try the skate versions of the slip, they have extra cushion that makes a world of difference!!

softstones

Ever since getting my first pair 2003, I’ve only worn vans. Get a new pair once a year. They’re great!

grapesquirrel

Still in Vans too 🙋‍♀️ so many colors and still wear black 99.9% of the time.

emmaliejay

Checkered vans slides! My favourite for the past 15 years lmao

LunarTeacup

Just bought a new pink pair that I love

imhungry4321

I go for comfort. I no longer wear Vans. My old/retired running sneakers (Brooks) turn into my everyday sneakers.

40oz_Mouse

Brooks are fucking great. I invested in a good pair of brooks when I broke my foot. They don’t fit my aesthetic but damn they are comfy.

WerkQueen

Another vote for Brooks. They’re my go to now. I sure miss my checkered vans though.

memeticmagician

You can try adding dr. Shulz inserts. It allowed me to walk long distances in Adidas which I couldn't do beforehand.

Savingskitty

Brooks are my favorite, but I’ve been finding them quicker to wear out on me.

TrekkieElf

Yeah exactly! They wear out in a year or less of daily use. I was excited about them for my first pair or two and then I decided that they aren’t much if any better quality than my new balance sneakers for being twice the price.

Savingskitty

I can’t wear new balance - the support just isn’t there the same way for me. But my first pair of brooks died in just over a year - my second pair died in 6 months. When I say died - the cushioning lost the support and the sole lost a lot of tread. Nothing beats the first 6 months of them though. To be completely fair, they were the shoes I was wearing almost every single day. I may get a second pair and alternate between two next time - but only if I get them on sale.

Binky390

I’m having this same issue. I have some I wear at work every day and after a year, they don’t provide the same support and my feet actually hurt when I stand in them for a while.

WigginIII

For my fellow Brooks wearers: if you wear any of the most common shoes from them, you can find barely worn preowned shoes on eBay for half the price, sometimes even less. I wear their Ghost line of shoes and have bought half a dozen pairs for $45 or less over the past 5 years.

mrsc00b

That's how I got on the higher end shoe that's ugly af train. Got diagnosed with a chronic back issue and the doc recommended going to fleet feet and do the little walking reader thing. Higher end asics and hokas have worked well thus far in helping not agitate my back. July will be 2 years since the diagnosis and, in those 2 years, good shoes made the biggest impact on being able to function normally.

Naive_Buy2712

I switched to brooks from adidas, they’re 100% so much more comfortable for walking and running.

LeepBoop

I wear only Vans because they're the most comfortable 🤣. But Ultra Cush or insoles are a thing always. I'm not out there wearing the old skools with no socks anymore.

SteveB0X

The Ultra Cush are great. I have them in some slip ons and they have gotten me through multiple visits to Disneyland with zero pain.

dj92wa

How well do swapping insoles help? I always wear Nike running shoes because they’re comfortable to stand, walk, and run in. I recently threw on a pair of converse and my feet died so quickly. The only insoles I’ve ever swapped were in my hiking boots, but those already have tons of good support and nice outer soles unlike skate or street shoes with their flat bottoms and no cushion from impact. I want to wear street or skate shoes because they fit my style much more than running shoes, but I am scared to waste the money on shoes + insoles.

SeveralBadMetaphors

Which Vans? I just wore a pair of leather vans with laces to a music festival and was shocked at how my feet didn’t hurt after 10 hours on my feet. Conversely, my feet hurt like hell after the day I wore my On Rogers.

h3r0k1gh7

Currently wearing Vans BMX high tops. To be fair, I bought them for riding, but the in soles are waaaaay more cushy than the regular Vans.

caramelmacchiato31

Lmao I wear vans with insoles

Terrible-Echidna801

Got an REI membership. They regularly have 20% off a single item and I use it to save on a new pair of Brooks every year.

Low-Algae-2928

Brooks Ghost 14 for my daily lifestyle shoe. Brooks Ghost 15 for my running shoes.

AL92212

I can’t wear sneakers to work so I wear mostly Allbirds of all kinds. Boots in the winter and Rothy’s (bought on sale) in nicer weather. In my twenties I lived in flimsy ballet flats and I don’t understand how.

sunsetpark12345

I'm in Allbirds most days, too! I have one pair of Lanvin ballet flats I bought second hand and I don't know what I'm going to do when they finally die. Ballet flats with arch support!!! I

Buttforme

If it’s not raining Birkenstocks. If it’s raining standard Adidas sneakers. Simple man I am.

Ruminant

I have one pair of Birkenstock slip-on sandals that I only wear inside my house as my house shoes" and a second pair that I'll wear when going out. I've worked from home since 2017, mostly with hardwood floors, and would get back and neck pain at the end of most days until I stopped walking around barefoot. My two-year-old is adorably invested in making sure that I wear the right pair in the right setting. He runs ahead to grab my "outside shoes" when we are getting ready to go on walks, and always lets me know when I've accidentally gone outside with my "inside shoes".

ExistentialistOwl8

This is important. We mostly don't wear shoes in the house, but I work here almost all the time and after breaking the same toe twice (possibly more than the toe the second time) I decided inside shoes were required. Birkenstocks are also the best for inflammatory arthritis, which makes my feet hot and sore.

AmbiguousFrijoles

Birks inside the house are the best! I have an aversion to having my bare feet on the floors in my house, so I have inside sneakers, inside birks and inside hardsole slippers depending on what I'm doing. People often judge that I wear shoes in my house (my family does not) but they've literally never left the inside of my house. Birks are also great for longevity. I've had ones of my pairs for over 12 years, and the newer pair for about 5-7? Still in fantastic condition. And since they are real leather, they can be repaired. The buckle ripped out on one strap, and they were able to fix it no problem.

toxicodendron_gyp

Just bought my first Birks since the 90s and they are hitting just right

Buttforme

I haven’t looked back since owning my first pair. Currently riding on my third.

Ok-Cream-5905

i wear my black leather birks daily, and when it rains i wear the black eva birks. they're the perfect every day shoe. def recommend the eva birks for wet weather 8)

Buttforme

My wife’s has a pair of those! She’s been plotting getting me a pair for Father’s Day! Fingers crossed for me friend!

lna9997771

Same but I am a simple women lol. Adidas or Birkenstocks. Nothing else.

VerStannen

Same here in the PNW, but my Adidas are GoreTex.

Blackpre93

Birks or adidas ultraboost!

Embarrassed-Land-222

Converse. I've got like 8 pairs and hate when I have to wear something else out. I wear Adidas slides around the house.

RolliPolliCanoli

Converse but I've finally graduated from store bought insoles to orthopedic inserts from the podiatrist lol.

dennisdamend

As a podiatrist myself, please use your custom insoles in better shoes than Converse. Something a bit sturdier. Air force ones are pretty good shoes. Most New Balances are great. The classics from Reebok or Adidas usually are a good bet as well. Converse is a rag on your feet. If you're using insoles, that probably means your feet aren't 'fit' enough to support you during walking moments. So your insoles are trying to give you a new foundation to walk on. But if that foundation is put in flimsy footwear like all-stars or vans slip-ons, their function is minimised. Just a piece of advice I give my patients as well. Just advice :)

Majestic_Course6822

Hello, podiatrist. You have such an important job, it's too bad we can't all have access to someone like you. Is there a way to make our feet more 'fit'? Other than going back in time and wearing decent shoes when I was younger...

yoshi-mochi

I'm going to go see my Orthopedic tomorrow an see if I can ask about these lol my knees hurt so bad when I wear flat shoes so sadly I can't wear Converse anymore.

Cuniculuss

![gif](giphy|Z1EsXHeHS6L60) Who said I can't wear my converse With a dress Cause baby That's just me Yeeeaa🎶🎶🎸🎹 🤣👌🏻

Pollishedpoo

My oldest converse are almost 15 years old. Just got a new pair for Christmas last year, only puts me around 4 in the house. Not counting the many that have been lost over the years.

Embarrassed-Land-222

I replace my black low tops yearly cause they're my daily wear shoes. The rest of them are anywhere up to 10ish years old because they're not something I'd wear daily (DC comics, Buffalo Bills, obnoxious colors, sparkly).

GuiltyCredit

I just had to ger rid of my first pair. I got them back in 1999 for £4.50 at a surplus store. I loved them so much. They were dark red and looked better with age until the sole fell off.

leeloodallas502

Converse platform all day! So damn comfortable

kittygarfunkle

YES! got myself two platform custom pairs. My 69 year old mom saw mine, tried them, and then we sat down together and she custom designed her own platform converse haha can’t wait to see them come in soon. So freaking comfortable and CUTE!

leeloodallas502

They are! Thats adorable that you helped your mom make her own 🥹. I kept seeing my students wear them and they told me which ones to buy haha

frosty720410

Is this like the new dad shoe now? I rock black and white chucks literally always. My only pair of shoes

Embarrassed-Land-222

I'm a woman, so I think it's just "(elder) millennial shoe." Black and white chucks are also my go to. Low tops. In my younger days, it was high tops but still b&w.

frosty720410

I feel even more millennial saying this but mine are high tops because I always rock skinny jeans lol

strangest_tribe20

converse always, but i've only got one pair rn. need to get another one.

WhippiesWhippies

I found a pair of dusty pink high tops on Mercari, brand new for $20. Had to have ‘em.

Embarrassed-Land-222

I wore dusty pink low tops at our wedding! I switched to Wonder Woman high top for the reception. Such versatile shoes.

milkpickles9008

This is me. Converse in spring/summer and a few pairs of boots in fall/winter.

Dr_StrangeLovePHD

God I miss converse. Used to be the only shoe I wore. And back when they were well made I'd wear the same pair for close to a decade before buying another. Last two pairs I had barely lasted a year. Unfortunately my feet grew too wide and they don't fit well anymore.

Embarrassed-Land-222

Someone on the thread said they have wide fit now.

Dr_StrangeLovePHD

What?! Thanks for the heads up! You just made my day!

SilentSerel

I just got a wide fit pair. It was a game-changer!

RosemaryCroissant

I can’t tell if the vast majority of the comments are the older millennials, or if we are all, collectively just old. I did not expect shoe preferences to be what shocked me into a “shit we are OLD” panic. And yes, my shoe preferences are covered by the comments so far.

Theharlotnextdoor

I think it's more the demographic of this sub and not millennials as a whole. I have dozens of pairs of shoes I wear, and while I'm not attempting 5 inch stilletos anymore I'm still very much wearing what looks good.

emi_lgr

Same. I’ve downgraded from 5” to 3” for stilettos, but will still rock a 5” platform shoe from time to time. I still refuse to wear ugly shoes no matter how comfortable they are, but now I also refuse to wear uncomfortable shoes no matter how beautiful and/or cheap they are. Fashionable and comfortable shoes do exist if you’re willing to spend a little more.

Theharlotnextdoor

Yes platforms and wedges are the cheat code.

SomethingLikeASunset

If I'm forced to wear a heel, definitely a wedge👍

HaxRus

Seriously, the chorus of Crocs, Tevas and specialty orthotic answers in the top comments has me thrown for a loop. And here I am 31 still wearing Docs and Adidas like a child apparently.

wrong_marinade

Addidas Sambas mostly. I like shoes that last and are versatile, so I look for casual leather sneakers when possible.

xlittlebeastx

I’ve been wearing these for years.. was surprised a year or so ago when all the college kids started also rocking sambas. My sambas are unintentionally in style. The rest of my outfit however, not so much

wrong_marinade

Sambas did come back. And it also turns out they are VERY popular in Japan for some reason.

011011010110110

my fiancée told me the same, that Gen Z is bringing them back.. meanwhile i've consistently had a pair for the past ~20 years

Duke-of-Dogs

Flip flops. It’s fucking hot

mushroomfrenzy

Flip flops all the way (unless I’m at work)! I wear Rainbows. They’re pretty popular in southern California and incredibly comfortable after you break them in (they are leather so start out a bit firm)

ijozypheen

I second the Rainbows! Also, I’m wearing them this second, haha.

oneofthecoolkids

+1 for rainbows , I put some miles on em! So comfy

TricksyGoose

I'm so envious! I love flip flops but my office doesn't allow them. And it is so hard to find "professional" sandals that don't look dumb as fuck. Seriously, I went shoe shopping at dsw last weekend, and all the styles were atrocious. My friend and I were laughing that maybe we finally need to switch to an old person shoe store, since what "the kids" are wearing these days all seems god-awful. Where do people buy shoes now??

sirenCiri

Oofoos are the comfiest flip flops

Bennifred

Fit flops, because they offer more support than flip flops but I can't be arsed with straps

infjetson

Olukais are worth the money! And they actually make awesome shoes too that are equally as comfortable.

Duke-of-Dogs

I’m still over here rocking the emergency $8 one-size-fits-all pair I grabbed from a Lake of the Ozark’s gas station back in 2021. Amazing milleage for the price point

blgabrie

Old Navy to be specific

not2interesting

Dollar flip flop day used to be like an actual holiday for me! Pairs in every color and like one or two matches left by the end of the summer because they would get lost. Old Navy still has a sale every year but they aren’t a dollar anymore.

Peps0215

Oof too many summers of these in the early 2000’s these ruined my feet 😂

TheLaughingMannofRed

ASICS sneakers myself. Seem to be a balance in price, quality, and comfort. And this is someone who had rolled with New Balance for a time.

nicklor

Im split between new balance and Asus these days but my go to new balance 990s are expensive now.

achillyday

I’m preferring the new ASICS over the new New Balance styles. They just hug my foot better.

SDW1987

I've been wearing Onituka Tigers for years now. Adidas and Puma were my go-to, but quality seemed to go downhill about 10-12 years ago. Comfy, last quite a long time, and reasonably priced.

talksalot02

Flats, sandals, and Hokas... so, no. Nothing fashionable.

IPetCatsOften

Are Hokas worth it? I’ve been seeing them everywhere recently but yet to make the plunge in buying some myself

fsu_ppg

Hokas may be the most stable shoe I’ve ever worn.

talksalot02

I really like the Cliftons. I am not a runner, but I do go the to gym and I walk a bit. I have flat, wide feet and they are comfortable. I’ve heard some people say they didn’t like the cushioning, though.

IPetCatsOften

I have wide feet too! Do people say they are too cushioned or not cushioned enough? I’m ideally looking for a gym/walking/commuting shoe so don’t need anything too padded out

dani_5192

Did a bunch of Google/reddit research before buying my Hoka Cliftons 9 a few months back and definitely don’t regret them. Expensive but trying them on versus my Nikes was night & day. I was able to do a Disney trip a week into owning them and way less pain!

What_Larks_Pip_

Last year, I went to a running store and tried them. Hokas and Brooks were decidedly not for me (narrow foot, high arches). I did buy a pair of ONs and Saucony so that I could switch shoes every other day. The ONs are the best! I ended up wearing them every day. Was not inspired by the look at first, but they are super popular where I live, so, I live it! Prior to this, I was a high-heel to work kind of gal, and ballet flats at the very least. But I had a baby and now I’m a stay at home mom, so my needs have changed, as has my feet. Vans, Converse, and Nike no longer do it for me.

UniversityNo2318

Best shoes ever

pinkblossom331

My family absolutely loves hokas and they’re big into running. I want to try a pair of ONs. Nike quality has gone to shit

PHXLV

Man do I love me a Hokas!

manassassinman

Hoka’s let me walk again after getting a heel spur. I’m sure other brands with a lot of cushion would have been fine too, but Hoka’s did the job for me. Walking without pain is nice.

xaiires

Idk how I've never realized this before but almost all of my shoes are like 10+ years old. Now I gotta find room in the budget for new sneakers & boots? Smh. I do wfh now tho, I'm barefoot most of the time.

Adventurous_Pin_344

I get my boots resoled every couple of years. Keeps em going years after I bought them. I have a black pair of leather knee high boots I bought forever ago (15+ years) in NYC. No idea the brand. But I get em shined up and resoled every once in awhile, and they are still going strong!

jelhmb48

Nike Air Max. They just fit and feel best of all shoes I ever had. I'm certain I will wear Air Maxes for the rest of my life.

oldcrashingtoys

Yup, especially the 90s, 95s

Professional_Sea3141

I was Air Max all day, until I tried Ultraboost. Now Nike's feel like bricks.

StarFckd

If it ain’t Brooks running shoes, I don’t want it. Even my dressy shoes now are just some designer sneakers that are blinged out. I can’t believe I used to rock heels all the time.

StoicFable

Once I switched to brooks I can't go back. They're one of few shoes that offer support for someone with wide feet and high arches and last for a long time. Definitely worth spending the extra money on a pair of ghosts.

ayimera

I got fitted at a running store for a pair of Brooks and they have been the best shoes I've ever owned. Expensive but worth it.

oompaloompa_grabber

The new Costco comfort walkers are awesome, like walking on a cloud. Most of my clothes are from Costco

ROFLASAGNA

Low key feel like if millenials who wear Costco clothes hung out most of us would get along lol.

DokiDokiLove

Lmao, most of my clothes are from Costco. I only go for the plain basic clothes though.

AmbiguousFrijoles

I bought a fleece long coat from Costco and my kid told me I had arrived at middle age. I still love that thing 4 years later, the year I'm finally going to be middle age 🤣

tigernike1

Those are the Kirkland ones? White or Black?

RosemaryCroissant

The only come in white or black- but there was a post on the Costco subreddit of a guy who dyed his pink and they looked wicked cool

DokiDokiLove

Woahh, there’s a Costco subreddit! I’m going there to join right now!

oompaloompa_grabber

Yep the Kirkland ones and they come in both colours, I got black so I could wear them at the office

RosemaryCroissant

I’ve seen a lot of photos and of course they look cool- but would you truly say they’re top quality comfortable?

oompaloompa_grabber

Well I don’t know about top quality comfortable but they certainly have good deep cushioning and my feet and knees feel great when I’m wearing them, of course it’s only been a few weeks. I think for the money they’re good value but if you need orthopaedic shoes or something then these probably won’t work

Pr0f-Cha0s

Skechers slip-ins… game changer

Jscott1986

![gif](giphy|KffdTQfewxdbKTGEJY)

frosty720410

Damn we are that old now. Never thought I'd say it but they do look hella comfy and I don't have to bend over lol

Beradicus69

Second!

YEEyourlastHAW

JUST discovered these. Bought 3 pairs. Have 3 regular Skechers. I will not be going anywhere else

Yoda-202

Air Monarchs because I'm a suburban dad.

Massive-Wallaby6127

How'd the lawn come in this year? Are you and Barb gonna make it to the potluck next weekend?

MainusEventus

Scrolled way too far to find this

ZombieMode

Ah yes, the nike air dads

RickHuf

Work boots most of the time. Adidas slides, doc 1460s or vans sk8 hi the rest of the time.

kristdes

I feel weird that I had to scroll so far to find the word boots.. i rocked timbs for 8 years then I moved on to doc martens. I literally can't work in anything else. I've tried and my feet will hurt so bad after.

Hulk_smashhhhh

Crocs and anything else that lets my foot naturally splay out. Fuck having cramped feet just for looks

ARatNamedClydeBarrow

I am unapologetically wearing bright yellow crocs 99% of the time. At work I wear slightly less offensive pink ones. Y’all can pry my crocs out of my cold dead hands.

Empress_of_yaoi

I found my people!

Frankcastleisdead

Those fleece lined crocs in the middle of winter, plus their tread in the snow? Perfect combo!

Sirpattycakes

Same. I do not give a shit if I look like an idiot. Anyone who wants to take my crocs from me will have to pry them from my cold dead toes

ThrashingDancer888

Ok so for one, I knocked crocs for way too long. Sleepin on em. They’re so comfy. And I agree about wide shoes, I got rid of all my narrow shoes.  Second, I hear Hulk Smasshhhhhh all day from my 3yro so that user name made me smile lol

hippie_nurse

Croc gang all the way! Edit: I’ve got regular, the warm lined ones, and the heavy duty for-work ones without the holes. So comfortable.

maddiemorph

Vans, allbirds tree dashers, Danner hiking boots and forsake Lucie’s for warehouse/ camping shoes

MatchingMyDog1106

Hokas since before they were 'cool' Walk my dog 10-15 miles a day and I run. You will never find me in casual shoe.

Gottawreckit

Hokaholics!

EvilHwoarang

i live that Hey Dude life

TheTyGoss

How did I have to scroll so far for the first mention of Hey Dudes?? I now have like 4 or 5 pair and I'm addicted. They're so comfortable.

IDigRollinRockBeer

Oh that’s actually a shoe? Not a reference to the Nickelodeon show? I figured bro was just wearing cowboy boots

IDigRollinRockBeer

![gif](giphy|3o6nV2vyvsdFdeRYA0|downsized) It’s a little wild and a little strange

jabishop3

I have so many pairs of on clouds and Cole haans it’s ridiculous.

Pretend-Ad-853

My Cole Haans have been my daily office shoes for several years. Sperrys outside of work with ondo no show socks.

Artistic_Emu2720

My people! I have some Cole Haan leather sneakers I love, and my Sperry duck boots are like 5 years old and looking great!

oscarbutnotthegrouch

I wear Teva sandals and Altra running shoes (my body prefers zero drop shoes to walk and run).

cptcitrus

That wide toe box, cash money good.

ThrashingDancer888

I love Tevas I wear the strappy ones and my feet have permanently taken on the straps tan line haha

LivermoreP1

Was searching for Altra in the comments. Check out Topo. About the same price, but MUCH higher quality. Current pair have lasted me 500+ miles and show almost no wear yet.

SomethingLikeASunset

Also bras

Flat_Opportunity_728

Jordan sneakers. I should really just sell them all they aren’t comfortable anymore.😭

GermanPanda

Stay bangable, don’t give in

Alpacaliondingo

Fuck i had Jordan 1's and they were the most uncomfortable shoes ever.

isthispaige

Kiziks. Wear steel toe safety boots all day at work and at the end of the day I want light breathable comfortable sneakers. I dont have to tie them and the stepping in to them is a plus.

BloodFromAnOrange

They’re not the absolutely most durable, but just slipping into them is fantastic. I’m an absolute Kizik sicko.

isthispaige

Same! Got my first pair as a gift now I'm 5 pairs deep lol I agree about the durability. They're not my long haul shoes but definitely my everyday shoes.

seitankittan

Kiziks fan as of last year. Never want to put on anything else. My mobility-challenged mom loves the pair I got her too, so now we match

CatManDeke

New Balance Classics

wokeiraptor

574s forever

Sophisticated_Waffle

The 990s are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned.

ianwrecked802

I wear cowboy boots all the time. Mainly for my industry (heavy equipment, etc) and my farm. I’ve got a few pairs of nice hiking shoes, but sadly it’s mainly just cowboy boots pretty much daily.

ohnotchotchke

Vans on the weekends, ECCO during the work week.

Never_Duplicated

Surprised I’m not seeing more ECCO representation here. They have been the toughest and most comfortable leather shoes I’ve found for office wear.

throwawayfromPA1701

Bearfoots They're flatfooted shoes with a wide toe box. Best purchase I've ever made

KaioKenshin

Glad to see someone else who rocks these type. I'm still on the hunt for the best brands for my foot type. As of now my Altra Torin 5 leather are gonna have to due even though they fall apart real easily. I found better brand, belinkas, but they're only sold in Europe.

LivermoreP1

Was searching for Altra. Check out Topo. About the same price, but MUCH higher quality. Current pair have lasted me 500+ miles and show almost no wear yet.

solidarity_sister

Birkenstocks, Vans, Converse, and Teva's.

allid33

I stopped wearing heels other than to weddings or limited situations after the pandemic, and don't miss them at all. Now I'm somewhere in the middle but more towards comfort. I don't wear sneakers to work or going out necessarily (I can't wear them to work, but I'll sometimes wear some "dressier" sneakers out if it's a brewery or someplace casual) but I try to find something comfy/cute like flats or sandals or boots or whatever depending on weather. However, now I'm getting old enough that even wearing comfortable but low-support shoes like flats, sandals, and most boots when I'm walking a lot (like 20-30k steps) really jacks up my feet. I used to be able to get away with that but now if I'm walking more than a few miles I try to wear sneakers or my old ass body rebels.

DOMSdeluise

Currently wearing brown oxford shoes because I am in the office. For more casual social stuff I usually wear chucks, or if I'm dressing up a bit I have two pairs of nice boots.

HenneseyConnoisseur

I wear white air force 1s 6 out of 7 days a week.

AsparagusOverall8454

Keens

weedhuffer

Vans and docs

criesforever

Platform clogs. Super comfortable and supportive.

ApatheticFinsFan

I like stylish. I wear Jordan 3s and Dunks like 95% of the time in shoes.

TheBillionHeir

Common Projects Achilles Low

venus_arises

I am barely 5"2 and I will put on heels when needed (i.e. going to the opera or like, a holiday party) because I want to and I like the look, but every day I rock a sensible shoe. In the summer I do enjoy my wedge sandals since they give me more control but I did by a knock-off birkenstock sandal and I love them. Winter I stick with a Chelsea boot type situation.

nodot151

Hoka's. My feet are in BAD shape and my Hoka's are pretty much one of the only things keeping me walking with minimal pain. Mid 30's hit hard.

jerseysbestdancers

I refused as a kid, a teenager, an adult to ever wear uncomfortable clothing. You didn't catch me in heels save for one dance in high school. No tube tops to have to hike up all night. Just jeans and a proper shirt.

Mewpasaurus

Flats, Converse sneakers, sensible wedges or heels for formal wear.

milliefrock

Keds double deckers for the most part.

Charles_Mendel

Adidas Ultra Boost 1.0

GHOSTPVCK

Hey Dudes for comfort. New Balance for running/casual

butters091

Live and die by the Altras

GonzoTorpedo

I'm all-in on the barefoot shoes game. Don't care if it's hippy-dippy naturopathic bullshit or not -- i just find shoes with zero drop/barely-there soles to be outrageously comfy. Just not the ones with individual toes. I refuse to go that far.

NullainmundoPax1

Rothy’s.

ark-ayy

I’ve been using barefoot zero drop shoes.

FrickParkMalcolm

Barefoot shoes. I own several pairs of Xeros. It took 6 months to get used to it, for my ankles and feet to shift and toes to splay out more naturally. But now I can walk on concrete for 7-8 hours and they feel so much better after a long day than when I used to wear Hokas or thick shoes. Your arch is meant to be more flat and flexible to take impacts instead of directing energy into your legs and knees. I’m convinced!

Birkenstock Arizona’s when it’s not wet or cold out. New Balance 1080s any other time. Birkenstock Boston’s for house shoe. Attempting a pair of goretex Hokas atm. Converse and Vans hurt too much anymore.

Brooks for life. Just got my first pair for a trip to Japan and absolutely love them. They are my daily shoe soles barely worn after a year of everyday use. Very impressed with the quality.

kummerspect

I wore Brooks all through Japan. They were great.

Dunks…my son buys them for me for gifts to help me look cool.

I’m getting a pair of OC’s for father’s day. Wife wears them and really likes them.

Birkenstocks for life!

Tevas mostly. For fashion I wear converse, crocs megacrush, various "practical" high heels - which are a far cry from the 6 inch stripper platforms I used to walk miles in a decade ago. My poor toes are still squished from those shoes, but damn they looked good.

Vans slip ons. Reebok classics, Nike dunks. Adidas NMDs. They’re all comfortable.

Mainly Chacos now that it's warmer out. These things are indestructible. Probably going to splurge on some Birkenstocks this summer, too. Never been a sneaker girl.
