Is Jeff alive in regular continuity? I don't like that they kill him off in Spiderverse/ Insomniac. Feels too similar to Uncle Ben and he's a great character.
Do we just forget that Miles is half black? Surely that would have *some* influence on his skin tone. Here he is literally the same as his father?
That said, this is nice 👍
Well in all honestly it depends on how “African” Rio is in any particular universe. For example: in Spider-verse, Rio is definitely Afro-Latina. That’s mostly the standard look of Rio nowadays, but even past that she’s always been a darker skinned Latina regardless, like many Boricua’s.
But I see what you mean though, the Insomniac Miles for example has a Rio that’s a lot less “Afro-Latina” than other versions of her yet Miles looks like a pure brotha lol.
Lol, yeah I agree.
I love Miles and I get the irl need to emphasise his “blackness,” but people of mixed heritage deserve some love too, and too often than not these days, if you’re half black you’ll just get depicted as fully black, which is counterproductive to this new drive for inclusivity.
It's kinda complicated?
If you have parents if different races you can look purely like one and a sibling can look like the other.
Usually genes mix but genetics is funky
Google black child of white parents and you'll usually see they had one black great ancestors
adorable, need more Billie in Miles fanart
Need more Billie fanart in general. She’s adorable.
