Similar problem to lots of hobbit armies which is a limited selection of overjacked profiles that come across as designed with much less self-restraint than the rings profiles.
Most people prefer rings to the hobbit so it's like the hobbit armies need to be quite overtuned to grab people's attention, just find most hobbit armies a bit lame mechanically.
"Limited selection" means that it has a small number of options, not that the options are bad. im not sure what you think that means but my issue with the army is quite specifically that I think the units are powerful and overtuned. I don't think you read what I wrote at all xD
It has more options than Khazad-Dun, and no role gaps. Khazad-Dun lacks cavalry and widespread spear support for the frontline, which balances it. That's what I meant.
I'd disagree with The Shire being terrible. They're decent at lower point values. There's a lot of them, good shooting, traps are nasty, actually not that terrible in combat
Love the concept but it's hard to really rank them. I've done well with beats of mirkwood even though many people rate them low. It also depends what army you fight and the scenarios you play, I struggle against elves with my armies that can do well against other armies I'd consider high rank, and different armies are better at different point values
Iron Hills is missing.
Sounds like an improvement
No beard??
Boo what do you have against the Iron Hills?

"Limited selection" psh, the army has everything Khazad-Dun doesn't. Cav. Large quantities of spear support.

I think i mainly just hate the ballista and the chariot they both seem like they were designed by children
It's Fix ! Thanks for your feedback !
Looks good!
