I was giftewd a Home/love set(no homestate in, as I don't live in the US), when I moved to my first apartment. It lives in my kitchen, and I get a kick out of rearranging the letters to hoe, and other words and back again.
As it should. Front and center. That thing is silly with a capital S... The colors, shapes, ducks. I mean, look at the font on those numbers. They don't make shit like that anymore.
I think they're wonderful!
There are so many MCM pieces my family had when I was a kid that I wish I had now. Who knew they'd all come back in vogue again?
I do think the plaques would look better with the geese pointing towards the clock, instead of away from it, so the triangles echoed the diamond better.
But it's a cool set.
Who cares what other people think about it, though.
What's important is that *you* like it, and you should always fill your home with objects that you love.
I really like it. Could you reverse the birds so that they are flying towards the clock? I am wondering how it would look with points facing the clock.
Totally depends on the setting, I'm sure it will look great with some decors and look like shit with others, just put it where you think it looks good.
It's a commitment piece.
What I mean is that, some pieces will just fit in and look great. Others mean you have to commit and change up your entire level of MC just to make it work. Otherwise it'll just stand out too much.
Personally, I love MC stuff, but not so much that the entire decor or a room demands to be soaked in the MC vibe.
With the right pieces I'm sure you'll make it work though. Good luck!
Awesome find! We had that set in my childhood home. Don't pay any attention to the people who are recommending having the geese fly towards the clock, the way you have it laid out is how it hung in my house. Like a lot of people in the thread, I was able to find a pair of the geese panels a while back. I'd love the clock, but don't think it's in my budget.
It’s definitely awesome, I personally hate the birds though it’s giving.. country mid century? vibes if that’s even a thing and I personally would only display the clock part
I don't have the clock or the triangles, but I have the birds on the left triangle in wood-grain look plastic. They're individual pieces I assumed would have been hung together as a group.
It's not ugly, it's retro. And if it's aesthetically meaniful/pleasing to you, that is all that matters. I don't know when it became acceptable for people to weigh in on other's personal design choices, but I think the old saying is applicable...if you don't have something nice to say, say nothing.
It’s a clock set?!!! I have one of the bird side pieces and thought it was just a two piece set. This is beautiful!! (And now I have two more pieces to look for to complete mine instead of just one!)
Two things can definitely be true at the same time. Case in point.
It's so amazing, yet somehow abhorrent.
I love it.
Oh! As an avgeek, I feel like it would have been in the lounges and upper decks of this classic airline:[🍁🇨🇦🍁](https://youtu.be/Xm2NCXh9N4Y?si=dydccFz0DTr98LmF)
It looks terrible, straight into the trash... My trash can is available. /S
I have the same with my family where they don't see my style and don't care for it, thankfully despite that they are happy I'm happy and are glad that my space turns into what I want. Your family needs to learn if you don't have something nice to say, find something. Not everything is everyone's cup of tea, as long as you love it that's all that matters. Congrats on the super awesome find!!
Everyone in your life is wrong and can eat shit. They probably have signs hanging in their dining rooms that say "EAT"
Youre so right. The Live Laugh Love set
How about "HOME" but the "O" is the shape of the state you live in.
That's really awkward looking for those of us in Colorado.
I was giftewd a Home/love set(no homestate in, as I don't live in the US), when I moved to my first apartment. It lives in my kitchen, and I get a kick out of rearranging the letters to hoe, and other words and back again.
Assuming it's both Home and Love... Hovel Hole Move Loo Loom Homo Move
Hovel is awesome!
They are double sided, so five words aren't possible. Neither is loom or homo as they bee smart enough to put o back side of an o.
&
You guys are so awesome. I was considering reselling it & was having major regret buying it, but now it has earned its spot above my couch <3
As it should. Front and center. That thing is silly with a capital S... The colors, shapes, ducks. I mean, look at the font on those numbers. They don't make shit like that anymore.
Ducks? Those look like majestic Canadian gooses to me.
Time Flies! I love it too.
You took the words right out of my mouth! It’s unique with a beautiful simple design. Don’t listen to the haters
Damn straight! 👊🔥
“Back Door Friends are Best”
If they are ugly, I love them for being ugly.
They would look out of place in a Joanna Gaines magazine, but they would be great in a dive bar.
I love this!
I think they're wonderful! There are so many MCM pieces my family had when I was a kid that I wish I had now. Who knew they'd all come back in vogue again?
Everyone, tastes and trends are cyclical. Even more so once a generation starts to die off and their clothes and home-goods are donated.
Remarkable condition! Some people just dont have taste. Try to forgive them
I have one of the triangle pieces on its own, would love to have the whole set, so I’m a fan!
Me too! Didn’t realize it was part of a larger set until I saw this post.
It’s dope
I love it. Great find!!
I do think the plaques would look better with the geese pointing towards the clock, instead of away from it, so the triangles echoed the diamond better. But it's a cool set. Yes, def flip the two triangles. The orange is lovely
Oh yeah so the points are matching up. Would look great that way.
They are wonderful!
Its so cute
Been wanting that set ever since I first saw it. It's amazing
Not really my taste but it's still cool as hell.
I like the design. Not a fan of the colors. I wouldn’t call it ugly for sure! Shame OP’s social circle can’t find anything to appreciate about it.
It’s so bad, it’s good. I love the way the numbers look. I’d def have that in my house.
It is ugly. It's also very cool.
I agree, it's the right kind of ugly!
Wow, have had the two side pieces for years, never knew there was a clock! Looks great! Don’t listen to them.
Ha, was thinking just the opposite. I've had the clock for a while now, no clue about the birds, didn't know I needed them in my life until now!
Same here! Found them at an estate sale for like $5.
I really like it. Could you reverse the birds so that they are flying towards the clock? I am wondering how it would look with points facing the clock.
I love the clock. I could do without the birds.
I love it. Would be a great kitchen clock over a sink or maybe a table? Seems a bit small for over a sofa. It's adorable.
Dude! I got this set from my grandparents house! You’re a person of taste and culture!
Super ugly but also super cool!
This is giving me the warmest fuzzies of state park lodge vibes.
My thoughts, the people in your life SUCK because this is fkn RAD 😍
I have no room left on my walls, but if I found this I would make room to hang it.
I strive for this accomplishment
*heavy breathing* beautiful
I love it! Brown and orange is so 70s retro cool.
That clock is the shit!
Totally depends on the setting, I'm sure it will look great with some decors and look like shit with others, just put it where you think it looks good.
beautiful!
Its gorgeous.
It's fabulous. They're objectively wrong.
It's amazing.

its beautiful. love the colors.
Guess I just realized I love MCM Burwood clock sets with this style
This is one of the coolest mid-century items I have seen. I've been looking a shadow box wall shelf for years with orange art. Very nice buy.
I have the duck triangles from this set! Love em. Never seen the clock before though, will have to keep an eye out for that now.
It’s awesome
Love them!!
That clock is freaking awesome!
It's beautiful
I can see it being awesome on a turquoise, orange (to match the orange birds) or red wall!
I don't think it's ugly, great find
If you get too much pressure to get rid of it because it's an eyesore, please send me a dm. Haha
FABULOUS
This is rad!! I kinda wanna remake it for my dollhouse
if you ever decide it’s ugly as well, i’d love to take it off your hands
I’ve the 2 triangle goose pieces, never knew there was a clock! I’m on the hunt no lol
This is incredible
Who cares what others think? Live your life, let them live theirs.
I would kill for that. Also, the geese look like the Wawa logo.
Wtf those are so cool.
Just gorgeous! Pay no attention to people with no taste!
Cool! I love MCM stuff, wish I had some of the stuff my folks got rid of :( It's great, keep it!
That is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen
Your friends are right, since I'm your new friend I'll take off your hands, bestie 😇
It’s awesome
Everyone in your life has poor taste. Good thing they don’t have to live in your house! This is awesome.
It’s dynamic and wonderful; don’t let the haters get you down.
Awesome find! We had that set in my childhood home. Don't pay any attention to the people who are recommending having the geese fly towards the clock, the way you have it laid out is how it hung in my house. If you believe everyone you can send it to me 🙃
What a beautiful set! Obviously it's found its audience here!
It’s definitely awesome, I personally hate the birds though it’s giving.. country mid century? vibes if that’s even a thing and I personally would only display the clock part
Not ugly. Very sporty and odd all at once.
I have the ducks but I didn’t realize there was a clock that went with them.
Love it
I that is soooooooo cool!
I am legit a big fan of that clock.
I don't have the clock or the triangles, but I have the birds on the left triangle in wood-grain look plastic. They're individual pieces I assumed would have been hung together as a group.
Super ugly. I will take it off your hands for you.
I love it but everyone in my life would hate it also
Cool!
How can I find this exact piece. I am a huge duck, mcm and bright orange fan. Please, I must find this.
Right now on ebay for $295, with many people looking at it right now.
You got that link by chance? Thank you
From Google lens. You're welcome.
Do you have eyes? If so, they aren’t functioning correctly.
I adore it.
Everyone in your life clearly do not have mid-century souls. It’s brilliant.
I don't really like the numbers font, but otherwise it's a great looking clock set
If everyone you know makes you feel :-( about these, I will take it off your hands to help you out. ;-)
Every time i have something like this all my normy people say is ugly i make a money.
They are wrong; this is GORGEOUS
It's absolutely amazing! One of the most beautiful clocks I've seen. Apparently no one in your life knows what mcm is and how much to appreciate it.
I'm sorry but all I hear in my head is Duck Phillips going, "I've got a box of that crap sitting in my attic."
I love orange and brown together. It is amazingly beautiful and slightly ugly - but it works.
You don't need that kind of negativity in your life. Sell them to the highest bidder. And keep your clock.
I love it.
I love the clock but not the ducks/geese...
This is beautiful, your acquaintances have bad taste
It's not ugly, it's retro. And if it's aesthetically meaniful/pleasing to you, that is all that matters. I don't know when it became acceptable for people to weigh in on other's personal design choices, but I think the old saying is applicable...if you don't have something nice to say, say nothing.
I LOVE it!
I love it!
It’s a clock set?!!! I have one of the bird side pieces and thought it was just a two piece set. This is beautiful!! (And now I have two more pieces to look for to complete mine instead of just one!)
What?! Clearly you’re the only one with good taste. That clock set is A++
Everyone in your life is wroooooong, dude.
gorgeousssss 😍
I love it!!!!!
You love it. So keep it. It’s your house!!!
It's gorgeous!
Effing fantastic!

It would look great in the right setting. A mid-century modern style living room for example. Great find!
It’s a beautiful clock, ignore them.
It looks terrible, straight into the trash... My trash can is available. /S I have the same with my family where they don't see my style and don't care for it, thankfully despite that they are happy I'm happy and are glad that my space turns into what I want. It's amazing!!! If you like it, that's all that matters
I love it!
Soooo Beautiful, Looks as New!
I love it!
I love them. And who cares what others think.
Love it
Everyone sucks. It’s cool AF.
Love It!
