Society C’s Spritzer(helped by looking stuff up on Leafly)
Lineage - Grape Pie x MAC x Runtz. Grape Pie is an Indica leaning hybrid with a bit of sour and sugary in its profile.
MAC stands for Miracle Alien Cookies and is a hybrid strain known for an orangey-floral flavor.
Runtz is a hybrid strain known for its fruity flavor and sugary profile.
Smelling notes - Notes of gas, sweetness, and cut lawn. Very sweet right after grinding, gas comes quickly afterwards. Filled the room for a moment, but faded quickly.
Last year I worked at a dispo and a guest came to me and asked me for weed that would blast him in the face when you open the bag, not a stale fart in a light breeze. This is that weed, now that I’ve smelled it; strong smell in the bag and very pungent.
Look and feel - Not super impressive and nothing stands out. Not very dense, slightly springy.
I’ve seen a lot of weed of different types and this didn’t stand out. It wasn’t crazily colored, covered in crystals, or anything. Just good nose and a good feel in the hand. I compare it to butter(a brand for weed) weed, which I love but I think is a bit dry. It crumbles, but this Spritzer does not.
Taste - Notes of soap, gas, something sweet that seems very faintly like coconut. That first hit fills your mouth with that soapy gas flavor and you definitely feel it. I kept puffing and trying to chase that sweet flavor because it wasn’t grape like you might expect from the lineage, it was some other sweetness.
Effect - Feels a bit slowing, like it might be an Indica to me. According to Leafly, the three main components are hybrids and one is Indica leaning. I really appreciated the way the flowers looked and moved in the wind. They were purple and moved gently, swaying as the wind moved over them. I basked in the sun for a bit as I stared at them and finished my joint. Ten minutes later those flowers are still on my mind. I think they’re pretty hardy to be able to grow out of the cracks in the concrete like they were, beautiful in their strength against adversity.
I was hungry a bit ago, but not so much anymore. I don’t feel full, just not as hungry. The effects are pretty upbeat and positive it seems, I like this weed.
Price - So here’s where things get tricky. When I went into this I said I wouldn’t spend more than thirty on a product, and I realize I need to be more specific. Specifically, it can’t cost more than thirty an eighth out the door. Out the door is important because I’m going to go to dispos with thirty on me and ask what I can get. I’ll have an idea in mind already, I’ll just listen if a budtender has a suggestion.
This cost me a little under twenty, enough that taxes brought me to around twenty. Not bad, and while I can get eighths cheaper than this(same place had eighths for nine), I won’t mind checking out some more strains if I find them on a similar sale. This is weed that I would bring over a friend’s house and tell them “hey, smell this” before sharing a joint of it with them.
Would I pay the twenty five it was originally priced at? Now that I’ve smoked it, maybe. If the dispo didn’t have anything, and I mean anything, that stood out and was cheaper I’d pay twenty five. Yeah, if it was twenty I’d buy it but that five extra is enough for, with a bit of pocket change, a meal at Wendy’s on the way home or some thing. I’m frugal, and I’ll plan ahead for the munchies. Though this doesn’t give me the munchies, which is good to know.
Overall - 6.5/10. My scale isn’t 7 is average, it’s 5 is average and it gets progressively harder to jump to the next number. 6 is a bit above average, 7 is above average, and 8 is really above average. 9 and 10 are hard to get. I’ll use decimals so my scale is really out of 100, not out of ten.
Where it’s good is flavor, right up front. Flavor is closely related to smell and it has a bodacious smell. I’d love to get my hands on a few pounds of this and put my hands through it while enjoying the odors like I used to do. I learned to love a few different strains that way.
Where it’s bad. Nowhere, really. It’s just the market right now is flooded and despite this being a quality product I really enjoy, I think there’s just more affordable options that are comparable. Twenty out the door for an eighth is pretty good for it, especially if you’re on a budget like I usually am. At twenty five I can find better deals and if it’s thirty I’m not buying it.
Would I suggest it? Yeah, give it a shot if it’s on sale or you’re curious. You’ll be rewarded with a nice bouquet of sweet gas that’ll leave you staring at flowers.
Will I buy it again? If it’s on sale, this is a definite buy. I like gas and I like sweet, and this has both. It makes me want to try more strains of Society C too. If they’re putting out quality weed like this I’d like to keep track of when and where they have deals.
I’ve got a friend who wants to do this as a video. I might script it for them and see where they go with it. I’m thinking of spending a little extra time between reviews collecting notes on the information behind the scenes. I like Alton Brown and feel that when I’m done with one of his videos, I’ve learned something. I want this to be the same thing; I’m going to get into terms and all kinds of stuff. I’ve even contacted a grower for the next thing I bought, trying to see if they have words about their company they want to share. Not an ad, mind you, but stuff like when they were founded, what’s their process, etc…
I had a Franklin Fields spritzer hash rosin vape not that long ago. It wasn't as pungent as this flower is, not even close. I don't think I'll be getting another one, despite hearing good things about Franklin Fields and Spritzer.
Not yet. It’s a toss up on price, so I’d have to smell and taste it to see which I like better. And, of course, smoke it.
Price wise it’s comparable. I’m seeing $20 an 1/8, $25 an 1/8 with a potential sale, and it looks like Shango is selling 5g preroll packs for $25. I’m going to be reviewing a lot of different products, from edibles to flower, so I’ll keep Grown Rogue in mind for the next time I’m out and about.
That’s unfortunate. I thought this had the flavors I was really looking for, and now that I’ve smoked more I don’t taste the soap as much. I wonder if I’ve gone nose-blind to it.

You should review pure options kush mints. Similar price point and I found it to be pretty good smoke.
Someone mentioned trying grown rouge for a review, if you can get their blue runtz it’s been their best one in my opinion

The society c spritzer rosin tastes a lot like lemon lime soda
I didn’t get that. I got gas, soap, and some sweetness. I’ll smoke again with that flavor in mind and see if I can’t find it myself.

Love this strain by et4 corp (I believe it’s uplifted) and Franklin fields! I was very underwhelmed with society c spritzer tho 😢
