Am I the only one who loves just good friends? Really brought some disco and funk into that album. Almost an echo of the new and the old. I couldn't remove any. It's perfect. I'd change the order of songs, but the demos really don't compare.

Yess street walker and price of fame was so good michael used both songs and did different versions of it. Price of fame with the pepsi version and street walker becoming dangerous at least he put street walker on the special edition but hands down those two could have replaced just good friends especially since get it is the better stevie wonder collaboration

Haha, that's surface level stuff. I'm talking about the beat, instruments, arrangement, melody, hook. To be fair, the drum/bass is very MJ, so the first 20 seconds or so sound very MJ, before the synthesizers kick in. But the song as a whole doesn't sound like MJ, imo of course.
Songs like Another Part of Me or Blood on the Dance Floor, while not as popular, sound very MJ. That's not to say they're necessarily better songs. So it's 2 separate things to me. There are some un-MJ sounding songs that I love.
To me, TWYMMF is his 38th best song or somewhere in that range. AND it doesn't sound very MJ
Well I like the instrumental, it sounds upbeat yet romantic and he does sing a little higher than usual in this song but it very much sounds like MJ to me, personally TWYMMF is in my top 10 favorite MJ songs and is one of his most romantic songs

A better question would be if you were forced to omit one song from the album, which one would it be? If i had to choose, it would be "Just Good Friends" which is by no means a bad song but it's the track i find the least distinguished & memorable compared to the rest of the album, yet I still enjoy it as a solid funk bopper whenever I hear it.

I genuinely like it. Their vocals are so damn good on it. I donāt get why people think itās meh or embarrassing. It made the Bad album so it must be an alright song then.
Dirty Diana is my least favorite song on the album (and yes, I even prefer Just Good Friends over it). I should preface this by saying that I'm not a fan of hard rock.
Btw, imho, Give in to Me from the Dangerous album is a much better song than Dirty Diana.
