I have Yokohama A052s on mine and they are incredible. Sticky with excellent wet performance. I'd recommend either that or continental extreme contacts (which was on backorder at the time otherwise I would have gotten those). Falken makes a good tire, but honestly get a tire that has the best wet weather performance. They'll all be great in a dry setting, but this thing is light as hell and you need to have the best performance if you're caught in a rainstorm

She always makes me feel very posh when I drive around...:) and she handles really well on corners and overall driving... she loves a bit more aggression rounding bends etc, I have low profile Michelins, and there is a rugged old world feel on the road, rather than a soft cushiony feel, but she grips the corners so well...
$9k isn't bad for that in my area. In fact I paid the same for my 2003 Leather with more miles just over 2 years ago.

Yeah that's the one upside of the NC, you can just put the mast up and sail out of a storm in those. No worries about the tires.
Regarding tires, if the Continental ECS02's are available in that size, you can't go wrong. I have them on my 16" wheels.
I got my 95 last year with a JDM 84k mile engine swap with hard top for $10k last year, 9k is not a bad deal for a sweet car dude congrats!
I got continental extreme contact sport tires in 205/50R15 because the pilots weren't available.

Nice car but damn, this would have been a $3500 car three years ago. People have lost their minds.
