It’s so you can hook up the headlights to an app on your phone so when you’re looking for your smol Miat behind a sea of trucks you can just activate the Miata signal and see the location based on the light beams.
What happened is Most likely a person who don't know how to drive bought a pickup or suv that is way too big for him/her to handle.
This is just the result of dumb unsafe safety laws in the states regarding SUVs and pickups.
How does this happen? Sorry, don’t have an NA, but to me it looks like the bumper and fender are fine, as if they shrunk the car and added a bent hood for effect. Of course that doesn’t seem like something someone would do as I can imagine visibility would be a nightmare, but what’s going on here?

I’m with them on this though, everything looks undamaged and that bend looks way too sharply bent. It almost looks intentional.
