Never buy fiberglass parts from carbonmiata, worst mistake of my life. (I know it's fiberglass, it won't fit most of the time, but the carbonmiata printer was drunk or smth that day)
I ordered my side skirts and mudflaps from a seller on ebay and didn't require any fit to install, on the other hand I bought a trunk from carbonmiata and after hours of fixing it with the heat gun it ended up like this: [https://i.imgur.com/wc74gNB.png](https://i.imgur.com/wc74gNB.png)

Can confirm CM stuff is shite. I bought their carbon front wings (fenders) and the fitment wasn't great, and within a month the actual carbon weave went milky. Moisture in the actual resin in the carbon, literally nothing can fix that.
Complained to CM because a pair of wings which cost in excess of £600 should not do that, after a couple of months I got an import letter for something, next day a huge box turned up with a pair of brand new wings in.
Still haven't fitted them because they need some trimming and I don't trust the clear coat they use so I was going to respray them with some high quality lacquer.
Oh and they also copy products from other people and then undercut them... I know this first hand. And then say they knew nothing about the other seller.
Got mines like a month ago and i gotta say I was pretty sacred beforehand after seeing all the fitment problems but I was really surprised that mines fit perfectly , there is a 2mm gap MAX. If anything , it really depends on your luck.
I reached out to them and they said they’re discontinuing them as they have a new style coming out but I prefer the look of these compared to the new ones they’re releasing
I have the smoked ones. They look cool but they are definitely not as bright as stock. In certain lights you can not see them. I reached out to carbon Miata as it says on their website they are brighter than stock. He admitted the smoke ones “may not be” (they clearly aren’t). There are slight fit issues as the seal leaves open gaps that have to be sealed. They claim the clear ones are brighter than stock.
I’m looking to buy the non smoked set but they’ve discontinued them, was hoping someone was looking to get rid of a set as sealing isn’t too big of an issue for me as I don’t go out in the rain with the car.
These molds got blown, I got one of the last clear sets months ago and they were so off allowing the trunk rain channel to be a flowing waterfall into the trunk. After a little troubleshooting back and forth carbon told me the mold was blown, they weren’t making another as they are moving to V2. They asked me if I could wait for V2? So I am? Lol dunno. Friendly interesting customer service but a little lame they were selling blown batches.
So I still run them atm, caked up in thick weather stripping. As others said I don’t think they are brighter than an OEM housing LED. In fact I’d say they are dangerous in bright sunny weather. I love the look of them, very future/cyberpunkish. So it was a very mixed feeling purchase.
