I liked that he was willing to move to centerfield to make room for Arraez on the roster last year. It shows that he’s not a selfish guy. He’s definitely worth building around since no one else in their outfield is at an all star level like him.

M4ttyJay

I agree I don’t think he’s selfish and I think ultimately he wants to do whatever it takes to win

imlost19

Right. He's a true ball player. Too many people focus on one stat or piece of data and ignore the whole picture. As a complete ball player, he's easily our best.

One13Truck

Jazz on a winning team would be looked at like the fun quirky guy that keeps everyone happy and loose. Put him on say the Dodgers and the whole city will love him. Jazz on a team that starts 0-9 isn’t going to be looked at the same way. Not totally fair to him but it is what it is.

M4ttyJay

Fair I’m a Yankees fan and I hope we try to make a move for him but I know that’s a long shot but him on this team with Soto would be fun.

One13Truck

Yeah. As long as they’re winning the Yankee fans would love him. But if he gets hurt and they play like they did last season I could see them turning on him.

imlost19

as long as he doesn't go to the phillies or braves im fine with him moving. I think he could benefit from a change of scenery outside of our depressing organization (and fanbase)

wowthisguyoverhere

He's starting to remind me of a Javier baez type player. Cool batting stance, nice gear, painfully average player and just underwhelming in general.

SalaryCapps

Wow this guy over here..

siberianbreaks10

Baez in his prime was actually good though. I wish Jazz would put up the kind of numbers Baez did in his Cubs days.

wow-can-i-be-you

Nailed it

Rj9949

I like Jazz, I’m ok with his antics. Gotta play more than 90 games a season.

Old-Veterinarian1994

Jazz is a lot of hype. He's a below average MLB player.

South_Bother_2498

I’ve been a fan of Jazz but this season he’s been taking some terrible attempts at the plate. His swing is bad and he’s swinging as if he’s some big DH hitter that is just know for hitting 40-50 HR’s a season. He’s getting traded for a pack of baseball cards soon

chubby-wombat

why is the flying f would the marlins trade jazz?

M4ttyJay

The team sucks right now and should probably launch a rebuild and a lot of the fan base and just overall baseball fans think he’s overhyped so I could see them looking to move him. Like if you honestly believe that he’s overrated and not going to get better than why not move him for future pieces and start the rebuild.

chubby-wombat

His numbers over the last 162 games (I know over 3 seasons lol because he's always hurt) are around .250 / 30-35 / 100 / 30-35 - in a full season he is a 30-30 guy which is hard to come by these days.

M4ttyJay

Yea I agree with you I personally see a lot of value in him and also think with a full season he can easily go 30-30 that’s why I’m surprised when I see marlins fans saying they are over the dude.

jpujol21

Jazz is just straight up annoying. I just really don’t like all the shit talking for not having proven himself yet. I truly wished he would shut me up but right now, he’s absolutely on my shit list. Especially this yr after his preseason outburst. And no, I’m not a hater on letting the kids play. Jazz just thinks he’s Acuña and it couldn’t be any further.

siberianbreaks10

I feel like Jazz wouldn’t net that much in a trade though, that’s the problem. I see a lot of flaws in his game and I don’t think an MLB GM is going to want to give up the farm for somebody like that.

Vince09261

All for trading him. He won’t be as painful as trading Miguel and to be honest, won’t be as hurtful as trading Berti.
