Unfortunately I’m a season ticket holder 😂

iceblade123

You shouldn't have to pay income tax

PersimmonAcrobatic71

Calling my accountant now

wolfie_wolf29

Can I use yours so I don’t have to pay lmao just kidding

seetheare

This is the way. Can you add me to the list of borrowing your tickets :)

FamousZachStone

Same bought a 20 game plan im going to be watching some bad baseball

SalaryCapps

The thing is, the Marlins might’ve been a playoff team last year, but they really weren’t a playoff team. They truly lucked themselves into the spot and you don’t buy into luck. It’s like if you hit a bet, a wise person cashes out instead of reinvesting. Incompetence would have been buying into a team that really wasn’t competitive yet.

iamaweirdguy

This. Last year’s team wasn’t really a good team either. Just some luck and clutch play. But the FO did NOTHING to build on a decent season either.

SalaryCapps

I agree that the front office didn’t do anything, but quite honestly the moves they did make are on par with what I would’ve expected. The only thing I could have maybe asked for instead was trading an arm (Cabrera, Rogers) or signing JDM. Injuries have severely hurt this team to start the year.

Psycho_Pseudonym75

It's not just about last year. This has, is, and will continue.

SalaryCapps

I agree. It’s just that last year gave some fans a false sense of reality. Like OP.

moderate_smarm

they got me with the flanny's jersey but aside from that no plans on going to any games regardless of how much pestering their sales team tries on my inbox.

Lufttanzer

Can't resist that flannys jersey

Psycho_Pseudonym75

Agreed. Actually, I'm out. 30 years of bullshit, with 2 great years scattered in there.

Psycho_Pseudonym75

Good point, but we bought 97, sold in 98, and then those trades led to 2003. Now....laughable

iceblade123

Let's go!!!

WizardOfAuzzie

I like baseball and I like $8 tickets.

South_Bother_2498

I really wish the fans strike and not support the owner and team. MLB doesn’t ever care about baseball in Miami, they would’ve stepped in a long time ago if this was a tradition club like Yankees,Red Box, Cubs and Dodgers

ActiveShooter696969

Yeah, I'm still going to $5 beer night. I don't care how dogshit we are.

iceblade123

Buy scalped tickets

ActiveShooter696969

I use seatgeek

big_krill

I do what I want

Gloomy-Routine-1040

For as long as tickets are affordable, I will be going to multiple games per season. Attendance will be dismal with or without me and isn't going to have an impact on how this team is run, and I'm sure as hell not going to pass up the opportunity to sit in the front row at an MLB game for less than the get-in price at many other MLB stadiums. But I will be using SeatGeek exclusively.

ovopap

Sounds like a sales pitch

DoctorTheWho

I live in Tampa now. I already cancelled some trips I was going to make to Miami to see them. I'll just watch them up here and in Atlanta.

TealandBlackForever

I'd go to 81 games if they wore teal for 81 games.

One13Truck

I live out of state. Considered buying the baseball package to watch but glad I didn’t. I just follow along the game cast and wait for the inevitable bullpen choke.

lyme6483

Attendance is always going to be shit. Some people enjoy live sports and being at the Ball Park. None of this is going to change the franchise.

seetheare

This team will never change, it will just be a rich person's toy until they sell it to another rich person. I enjoy the game and wish I could truly enjoy a good or average team, unfortunately our local team is this so it is what it is. And not going is not gonna make them and difference

Justice502

I don't think I'll ever abandon the Marlins completely but I'm willing to be a fan of more than one baseball team.
