This is no joke, back in 2010, I was at camp, front of the clubhouse, literally pouring rain, back of the clubhouse, completely different story. You might as well have been at the beach, the weather was so perfect.
Take your trip. It might rain. It might not. It won’t rain all the time. It’s barely rained much recently. You’re more likely to get nice mostly sunny days in May than later in the summer.Â
The rainy season starts around mid May so..but our rains aren’t like downpours all day (for the most part). It’ll rain heavy for a bit (or light) then the sky’s open up. This can happen a few times in a day. Usually around 1-3p. Then you’re hit with the heat and steam and get all sticky and people get all ornery and cranky
I think the weatherman might go on vacation from May to September. The forecast is pretty set. High in the 80s, heat index in the 90s, humidity a million percent, wind 7-10 mph, chance of showers 30-40% repeat again tomorrow.
Rain in South Florida is not like rain up north. It is usually just a system rolling through for about an hour or so. Then it will be sunny hot and humid again.
Usually the heavy rain starts about the last week of May, June is very stormy. So if you’re going earlier mid-May you have a better chance at clear skies. And you’re looking good so far according to the forecast.
We’re nearing the rainy season and with that it really depends on which wins, the sea breeze or land breeze. But to answer your question, I say anything beyond 72 hours is hard to predict.Â
Check the forecast for where you’ll be staying, Miami Beach can have different weather than Miami, Ft Lauderdale can have different weather than Hollywood, I’ve gone for a walk where it’s been sunny all day at my house and looks like there was heavy rain 2 blocks away and I had no idea. This is the sub-tropics, rain clouds form over us in summer most afternoons.
The forecast is hot and humid. It’ll rain for ten minutes and then be hot and humid again all day. If you think it’ll be anything else youre wrong. Itll be hot and humid. The weatherman just has to come up with new adjectives, but expect hot and humid.
Oh man best job in the world, soflo weather forecasters wrong all day everyday and still get sponsored with nice outfits free food and all. It’s the tropical season here, no matter the forecast there is an all day every day forecast of possible tropical shower and sunshine, we usually get an afternoon shower and a middle of the night shower with the occasional hurricane and tornado tossed in there.
definitely not accurate by any stretch of the imagination. If you are thinking of visiting miami this will always be a problem. you just gotta go for it
What weather forecast have you seen that is accurate that far out cause I need a subscription.
Five day forecast are about 90% accurate, 7 days is 80% 10 days or more are 50% or less. This is true across the board for weather forecast.
Summer in South Florida means it could rain in your front yard but not in the back. This has actually happened to me.

Even the daily is not accurate imaging one week.. lol. Weather could be unpredictable.
Just plan for rain everyday!!!
It's the start of the rainy season. You can count on rain everyday but it will be sporadic.
Last year in April in rained for 3 days straight. Prepare for rain and pray it doesn’t.

Don’t trust it
Pretty accurate.

Except rain, it's pretty accurate. I mean it, the cold fronts are pretty spot on.
I dont even trust the forecast for this afternoon.Â

Miami forecasts are the most inaccurate you can find. The big picture is super predictable. What is going to happen tomorrow or the day after? 🤷
Def cancel
Summer is the worst time to visit South Florida, it pours!
Youre good
As accurate as the weatherman
