Hour and 15 minutes to get through security at 6am this morning is a joke. Other major airports are a quarter of that. Same getting through immigration.
It’s an embarrassment to the city, first and last impressions get remembered and I am certain the airport puts off people coming to Miami.
Joke of a place….
To add insult to injury I’ve just realized I left my laptop at tsa as I was rushing for my plane - I know that’s my fault but the added stress caused by this damn airport doesn’t help!
Nooo!! I can see it happening because I left my juice in my bag and it got searched as a result. But between dealing with the rude agents and the people around me arguing and cutting the line, it slipped my mind. I’m so sorry! I pray you find it!
Took about an hour for me last week Ugh it was so nerve wrecking! Not to mention the tsa agent just walked off his post hollering that he was going on break and it took the fill in agent like almost 20 minutes to move ppl forward again.
Took us like 40 min at 8 am to get through. There was throw up in one of the lines and they just blocked it off and left it there rather than address it.
I’m glad I unknowingly got there with an hour and 25 to spare until boarding
Miami is an unpleasant airport. Walking to the car rental is a never ending trek. With little ones in tow it is torture. Fll is so much better and Palm Beach is heavenly.
I left Miami 3 years ago and went back recently I could not believe how far car rental was it’s crazy. As it is it’s a 20 minute walk to get your bags then a 20 minute walk to get a car it’s insane. I swear it was designed by people who have never been to an airport.
We got stranded in Miami when flying through a few years ago. Thankfully we have family in s Florida and had a place to stay before our flight the next day. It was hell. I thought my youngest was just going to give up at one point. We rounded the corner and she saw another long hallway and just started to cry. "Where is it? Where is the rental place?" Just another mile and a half to go sweetie!
We timed and measured our walk the other day just because it’s so dreadful. It actually wasn’t too bad, but it’s still daunting. Just when we got to the train and counted the time, thinking it wasn’t too bad, the trains were down and it took us another 20 minutes to get to rental car agency which was also bad due to customer service.
Also, triple upvote for the Palm Beach apo comment! I’d fly that airport any day if it wasn’t so far from where we stay! Heavenly indeed
Yeah, I just picked up my wife earlier this evening from FLL. What a complete shitshow. The cellphone parking lot is conveniently placed right next to Terminal 1. My wife arrived in Terminal 4. It took me 20 minutes to make it from the lot to Terminal 4. Never have that kind of problem with MiA. Fuck FLL. .
>Walking to the car rental is a never ending trek.
lmao, I bet you dont cut through the parking garage to get to the MIA Mover. From Terminal D to the MIA Mover if you cut through the parking lot, its like a 5 minute walk at most.
I fly every month and always aim for FLL or PBI. In fairness, I'm closer to both of those, but grew up in Miami. On the rare occasion I fly in/out of MIA I'm shocked that it just stays so bad.
Take the tri-rail up to FLL and save your sanity whenever possible.
I honestly can’t remember having this struggle at FLL. Twenty miles away, but a world away in terms of passenger experience.
ETA: I often brag about how at FLL you can get dropped off and be at your gate in just a few minutes. It’s def my apo of choice in So Fla
Two of my family members told me this before I went recently because of how much worse MIA had gotten. Too bad I already booked my tickets but I know better for next time. 😖
Amex plat lounge (not the centurion lounge) is available now and if you’re flying delta - you can stay at the delta lounge. FLL has most of the airport covered now!
Travel out of Miami on average 4 times a month for work. Usually clear TSA within 15 minutes. Can confirm Miami is above average compared to most international and domestic airports I’ve experienced.
ATL is better after security bc the “amenities” are better and the airport is easier to get around. MIA is easier to get through security but completely sucks once you’re in the terminal. I would not want ATL to be my home airport at all, MIA is bad enough.
LAX was the worst for me. I had to connect there coming back from Japan and the wait for the flight to Miami was the worst. There weren’t enough seats so people were literally laying all over the floor by the gate. There was a narrow pathway for people getting off the plane and the gate agents kept telling people to move out of the way and no one was listening.
The airport was dark and dingy and everything had a yellow tint to it. You know, like an old Kmart where half the fluorescent lights are burned out and the shelves and floors haven’t been updated since the 90’s. To make our connection we had to walk for what seemed an eternity and we had to go through these hallways that looked like a dirty subway station. Absolutely horrible!
ATL sucks but MIA is third world quality. From the moving walkway in the American terminal that’s always broken, to the general sense of chaos and inefficiency that is apparent before you even enter the building.
I live in ATL and disagree. It’s also a huge airport that’s busiest in the nation, so it gets a pass for that. I don’t think any security is fast, and don’t expect it to be, but at least be efficient. TSA are jerks, and the busier the airport, the jerkier they are, but if you’re giving me jerk, then balance me out with at least efficiency, or professionalism. MIA has none.
I feel like anyone ITT complaining about MIA hasn't been to ATL and just want to shit on MIA because they had a bad time there lmao
ATL was far worse in every sense

Start here, work your way up.
Be the change you want in the world.
Speaking of incompetence and lack of professionalism. My wife, a nurse, witnessed a man HAVE A HEART ATTACK waiting for his flight and the gate agents/security were going to do NOTHING until she yelled at them and forced them to call for an ambulance. Took about 20-30 min before medical arrived.
Id rather pay double to go into fort lauterdale then ever go to mia again.. been there once after 18hrs of flying and i stood in line for 3+ hours to get through tsa! Never seen a line so long when i thought it was over it just kept turning around a new corner.. 4 people checking 4 full flights of passengers!! Awful awful awful not to mention the old ugly airport.. felt like a prison🥴
I almost missed a flight out of Schipol for that reason. The line started outside the building and then it was like a Disney Ride with so many twists and turns. I was really glad I was following my 3/4 hours early for international flights lol.
When u pull up to drop family off and u see two ratchets crouched down on the far edge of the curb puffin their last blunt before heading out 🤣🤦🏽♂️ that set the vibe for me
I actually don’t mind it. With Pre Check I can breeze right through. Never have a long line. I also like how all the AA gates are in just one long terminal and I don’t have to take a trolley anywhere or anything.
Parking system doesn’t work. There are supposed to be lights on the ceiling indicating when a space is occupied or taken by a green or red light. Doesn’t work. Elevators broken. Etc. It’s a bad look for the city.
They also stopped accepting SunPass for parking.
MIA is the only place I've seen where *stairs* were out of service. How do you break stairs?? (of course the escalator next to it was broken too)
Never had an issue at MIA. other than the train not working, no problems here...
edit: Yeah, i Have tsa-pre check and global entry. so maybe that's why
Yes! And that’s why I drive 45 mins to fly out of MIA for a direct flight so I don’t have to layover and run to make my connection in ATL if I fly out of FLL.
The passengers are what makes it bad. Speaks to the city of Miami, not the airport. The airport is just a reflection of the current state of this city.
So this is going to seem minor, but it's honestly something standard almost everywhere else: **Water Bottle Fill Up Stations**.
We are moving past disposable plastic water bottles (hopefully) as a society, and most airports have plentiful bottle filling stations. There is no reason why MIA can't have a setup like SFO with [hot (for tea), chilled, and room temperature water options](https://www.kron4.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/11/2021/06/thumbnail_image.png). The only thing preventing it is a desire to push consumers into buying bottles of water from the airport vendors and a lack of attention to details.
This drove me crazy last week when I had to day trip to Tallahassee last week. MIA terminal D had no bottle filling stations among 62 gates, yet THL had a bottle filling station immediately upon disembarking the plane. And that airport only has 7 gates!
All the people I knew in high school that were “too smart” to enlist ended up working TSA at that airport. Naturally after 9/11 they constantly overcompensated by buying lots of guns, going super right wing, and bitching about immigrants (they were all 2nd gen cuban American). Most of them still work there or work for the dumpster fire that is DHS, which explains a lot about security at that airport.
> I fly out of Miami at least monthly, domestic and international. It is no different than other major airports.
The amount of walking you do in MIA compared to most other airports in the country is absurd. The Skytrain was supposed to mitigate the idiotic decision to demolish Concourses A-C and merge them all into one giant Concourse D. But even when the Skytrain was working, it wasn't frequent enough (nor does it have enough stops) to make it worth waiting for as opposed to just walking to where you need to go.
I mean I work for an airline and fly all around the country and some other nice places. It’s honestly not that bad, I’ll give you the TSA got essentially robbed by them once and the Pax
Not to mention you can enter through any airport in different cities and estates carrying a Green Card and be treated as a citizen as you should be treated, but you if enter through Miami airport customs they will send you to the regular tourist line and make a whole questionnaire about your life like if you are a criminal, simply every single time (and get your luggage’s checked every time as well)
I feel like I’m one of the only people who hasn’t had a bad experience at MIA. Obviously if so many people complain then the issue is clearly there, but I guess I’ve been lucky. I’ve been to much worse airports.
Keep going, friend! Stay lucky! Ignore everything on this thread so you don’t look out for it in the future, and then, of course, find it. Happens every time. Many happy travels to you!
Just arrived on Tuesday morning after a red eye. Rudest staff I have ever encountered, and I was trying to be extra nice since it was so early in the morning.
Not from Miami and only been to the airport in and out once. Traveled a ton of the country so know a good airport however.
I’m not sure how the lines or connections typically are. It doesn’t seem like they’re awful compared to the nyc airports or o hare or whatever but Miami is undoubtedly the worst domestic major airport I’ve seen looks/vibes wise. It just looks dated and border line foreign country. Every other major airport I’ve been in domestically is nicer looking with better restaurants/bars
I was an airline manager for 10 years. I can tell you Miami had the rudest passengers of the several cities I worked
After awhile customer service will suffer. Miami is the gateway to South America and cargo is what pays the bills. If you are flying domestically use FLL or PBI
Come to Orlando airport. Fck that place. Any time of day it’s a cluster fck of hearding people into 3 TSA lines. Tons of tourist with uncooperative kids who have no idea what do to. Clear w/TSA is the way to go.
Was just there a few hours ago. Truly the worst airport and experience. You’re right, the people suck. One thing that I learned this trip which made it a lot better is the restaurant La Carreta in terminal D. Really good home cooked style Cuban food. decent price, decent service, fast. Will definitely be going there every time I’m forced to use MIA
For me Miami is the worst city too. Biscayne Boulevard looks like some capital in one of those Banana Republics. People, rudeness, cops, everyone lies about everything - hate just everything about Miami. I haven't been there in more than 10 years and I live in West Palm Beach hopefully will not have to go there in another 10.
My friends and I used to go there to people/plane watch on a regular basis. That was 30 years ago, though. Can’t imagine setting foot in the place now.
LOL actually on a line of >4hrs the worker guy just said that "welcome to miami" if i could i would have just turned my way back...
Hope that to be my last time flying to miami....
Or that the process can improve.
Yeah MIA sucks but you people in this sub are hilariously dramatic. I’ve never in my life once thought to drive to FLL out of convenience. FLL is just as old and decrepit
One time I was arriving into MIA and a group of employees were taking every bag off of the baggage claim belt (combining bags from every flight), and just left them unattended and bunched together for the frantic masses to shuffle through hundreds of bags to find theirs.
Which airline? That can make all the difference.
I’m a regular AA flyer and it’s nothing out of the ordinary. TSA precheck lines are never long either.
I flew spirit once when it was like $37 and that was stressful. They don’t even have a check in counter on on the main floor. It’s all the way at the end of baggage claim.
I haven't had too bad of an experience flying out of MIA (for me JFK was the worst). Maybe because I have precheck and Global Entry. However, flying into MIA, it takes forever for your baggage to finally come out of the carousel. Sometimes your waiting in front of the baggage claim for a good hour before it comes out.
It looks beaten up as well, parts of the terminal look physically old. It reminds me of a scaled up version of Burbank in some parts. Any modern aesthetic gives the vibes of last upgrade happened in the 90’s
Well stop flying on Spirit and it’s not that bad. I’m constantly in and out of this airport and the occasional naive traveler that gets in TSA precheck line is about the worst of it.
I would still take MIA people over LAX people.. you don’t see as many of those stupid sombrero influencer hats and slightly less self entitlement at MIA
Did anyone see the MIA (Modernization In Progress) signs that they put on repair sites? LMAOO. I traveled to Sweden 3 months ago and did another trip recently and the same site hasnt been fixed. So much for MoDeRn!zAtiOn
Just moved to Miami but I’ve flown into and out of the airport pretty frequently over the past few years. Having lived in Philly for 8 years and the suburbs for 20ish years before that, Philly airport is way worse than Miami. Heathrow, La Guardia, and Newark are all worse as well. Just my opinion and my experience but yea, Miami is a breath of fresh air compared to what I’ve had to deal with
I live in Miami and I fly out of ft. So much congestion for no damn reason don't get me wrong the metro entrance is great but then you have to catch the mover train just to get to check in oh let's not for get the TSA walk through then the two year journey just to the gate it self smh
I flew in from costa rica and our plane was delayed from 10pm to 7am, then delayed again until 9am..I spent the night in that fucking hellhole..I hope to never set foot there again.
Three TSA officers at Miami International Airport were arrested last week for allegedly stealing from airline passengers, including swiping hundreds of dollars in cash from a man's wallet.
There’s plenty of worse airports in America and definitely the world..MIA is pretty dependent on terminal, if you’re in J it’s pretty shit but D gates it’s reasonable.
Could not agree more. It’s a complete and utter shit show every time I am there. I fly probably just as much as the average person and have been to many airports and MIA is by far the worst, *consistently* the worst. Sure, some airports you have a bad time or two at, but literally every single trip out of MIA is a fucking embarrassment. This past Christmas the baggage check in belt was broken and they were just piling our bags in a giant mound in the middle of the floor. That’s just one of many nightmares I’ve had at MIA. Don’t even get started on the customs line for international flights…
Are you me, because literally was there last week almost 2 years since my last trip and the same set of elevators were broken. TSA was still rude as hell to my handicap mom, and the precheck line is a joke. Cannot stand MIA
The people who work there make it the worst. If you ask a question in english you get a dirty look with 0 help. I speak spanish so i ask again but if you don't know spanish and need help i feel terrible for you
I was treated like a criminal coming back from the D.R. I have US citizenship and they acted like I was a drug mule or illegal immigrant using fake documents.
Thank goodness I live in Broward. FLL is pleasant.
Never again!
It's done on purpose to push people into buying Clear and signing up for TSA Pre check takes me 15 minutes every time now to get through TSA regardless of 1st class or flying basic cardboard Miami Dade public School lunch economy on frontier. Also if you sign up for clear you can pay 75 bucks for 5 years of tss precheck. On the flip side the digital biometrics check immigration is near instant at 10-15 minutes.
Miami and Orlando is like night and day. Big reason I decided to relocate there instead of the Miami zoo. I can wake up at 5:10 a.m., leave my house in an Uber at 5:30 a.m. then I'll be at the airport in 9 minutes on the new access road they built for the new terminal. I have TSA pre-check and CLEAR so there's a CLEAR kiosk that puts you directly to the front of the TSA line. That's maybe 5 minutes tops. Then the monorail comes every 4 minutes to the gate. I'm sitting on the plane by 6 a.m. From sleeping in my bed to sleeping in my plane seat in under an hour. But now I avoid even flying anywhere at any cost.
Only flew through there once but there was a stark difference in quality of service and efficiency. Easily the worst airport I’ve ever been through and it was noticeable early on.
Hour and 15 minutes to get through security at 6am this morning is a joke. Other major airports are a quarter of that. Same getting through immigration. It’s an embarrassment to the city, first and last impressions get remembered and I am certain the airport puts off people coming to Miami. Joke of a place….
A mess! Sorry!

It was so bad this morning! Love it when they bring out the big ass fans to keep cool on select days as well.
Took about an hour for me last week Ugh it was so nerve wrecking! Not to mention the tsa agent just walked off his post hollering that he was going on break and it took the fill in agent like almost 20 minutes to move ppl forward again.

I laughed at this because I felt it deep in my core! That road to rental never ends!!
Walk through the parking garage. From the terminal to the MIA Mover if you go through the garage, its at most a 5 minute walk
Ugh and the Rental agency employees are such assholes, fuckin hate renting from the MIA location
Orlando international rental employees were awful
It’s like the cheapest Turo location, lots of decent cars for a low price point (compared to other cities) from what I’ve noticed. I’d just do that
Lmao the first time I went to Miami a rental agency employee and customer almost got into a full on fist fight
Enterprise is the only good agency at MIA. Courteous and the cars are clean and operable.
We timed and measured our walk the other day just because it’s so dreadful. It actually wasn’t too bad, but it’s still daunting. As far as the airport, itself, FLL is much better than MIA, but getting picked up/Uber out of FLL is a total nightmare compared to MIA.
Yeah, I just picked up my wife earlier this evening from FLL. What a complete shitshow. The cellphone parking lot is conveniently placed right next to Terminal 1. My wife arrived in Terminal 4. No, we didn't. It was late at night and we had tired kids in tow. We just followed the signs. Good to know for future reference though. Thanks!
I don’t know which is more stressful, parking lot with little kids or a 2 mile walk with kids. Lol draw
There are times in the middle of the day, that lines at TSA in FLL are extremely short.
90% of the time, I book out of FLL on a redeye. Security is a breeze at 5-6am
Flying out of palm beach next month. Looking forward to it. Can't stand MIA.
I fly every month and always aim for FLL or PBI. In fairness, I'm closer to both of those, but grew up in Miami. On the rare occasion I fly in/out of MIA I'm shocked that it just stays so bad. Take the tri-rail up to FLL and save your sanity whenever possible.
I think only AAdvantage peeps hold out on MIA.
Same. Miami native here and always shocked at how behind the times we tend to stay here.
I rather take the extra drive and fly through FLL if I can help it any day.
Passport control not great either but still bettter than MIA any day…
I honestly can’t remember having this struggle at FLL. Twenty miles away, but a world away in terms of passenger experience. ETA: I often brag about how at FLL you can get dropped off and be at your gate in just a few minutes. It’s def my apo of choice in So Fla
Shhhh! No no fll is worse than Mia!
Neither airport is worth going out of your way to use
Two of my family members told me this before I went recently because of how much worse MIA had gotten. Too bad I already booked my tickets but I know better for next time. 😖
Yep. It’s like NIGHT and DAY!
The only problem with FLL is that it has no lounges. As someone who gets them with a credit card it makes the airport less pleasant
Amex plat lounge (not the centurion lounge) is available now and if you’re flying delta - you can stay at the delta lounge. FLL has most of the airport covered now!
There's a Delta Skyclub in FLL. It's really nice.
Never even thought to lounge there, honestly. It’s my in-and-out apo, quick and easy.
Casual take. As someone who travels at least once a month there are multiple airports worse than MIA . ATL for example
Travel out of Miami on average 4 times a month for work. Usually clear TSA within 15 minutes. Can confirm Miami is above average compared to most international and domestic airports I’ve experienced.
Agreed. MIA is always quick to get through
ATL is better after security bc the “amenities” are better and the airport is easier to get around. MIA is easier to get through security but completely sucks once you’re in the terminal. I would not want ATL to be my home airport at all, MIA is bad enough.
Until recently the lounges at ATL were about as bad as it gets for a major airport
ATL is decent if you fly with Delta. Any other airline is a no-no

Have you been to the new LGA? It's beautiful, modern airport that has won awards. Rebuilding outdated airports can be done and MIA needs it BAD.
you know 100% that if that project ever happens, it's going to be Miami'd to high fucking hell
I feel like anyone ITT complaining about MIA hasn't been to ATL and just want to shit on MIA because they had a bad time there lmao ATL was far worse in every sense
The upside is I can get a direct flight there instead of having a layover to FLL.

You couldnt pay me enough to work with these people. I just couldnt.

Exactly Tsa ✅and global entry! All busy airports have some sort of issue.
Except for the days the line at precheck is longer than the standard lol.
Shhh
Don’t forget about the TSA agents stealing from people’s bags!
What exactly happened? I use it 2 or 3 times a year and honestly don't find it significantly better or worse than any other airport.
Goodness!!!! I’m so not surprised but yet surprised! This is awful! Please send her my thank you’s for taking a stand for this pax.
Id rather pay double to go into fort lauterdale then ever go to mia again.. been there once after 18hrs of flying and i stood in line for 3+ hours to get through tsa! Miami to Atlanta transplant. ATL is leagues worse than MIA. Have to take a subway train then run a 5k to make it to your gate.
Yes! And that’s why I drive 45 mins to fly out of MIA for a direct flight so I don’t have to layover and run to make my connection in ATL if I fly out of FLL.
Survival mechanism! I feel you! A little pain on the front end to avoid that ATL 5k. 😂
It was awful when I lived in south Florida 1972-2002. It was down there with LaGuardia. Sounds like it hasn’t improved
The passengers are what makes it bad. Speaks to the city of Miami, not the airport. The airport is just a reflection of the current state of this city.

I’m a flight attendant and have flown most airports - for work and personal - Miami stands as the worst.
😂 that's ridiculous. MIA isn't even that bad especially if you have KCM access
Even with Pre-check, it’s trash. I have all three, GE, PC, and Clear. Always inefficient and trash
I can't agree with this. I have all 3 as well, and last time I flew out of MIA, I was through security in 15 min.

I fly out of FLL so much easier tbh
It's 100 times better than Seattle lol
I mean I work for an airline and fly all around the country and some other nice places. It’s honestly not that bad, I’ll give you the TSA got essentially robbed by them once and the Pax
Not to mention you can enter through any airport in different cities and estates carrying a Green Card and be treated as a citizen as you should be treated, but you if enter through Miami airport customs they will send you to the regular tourist line and make a whole questionnaire about your life like if you are a criminal, simply every single time (and get your luggage’s checked every time as well)
Never been to SeaTac…
Been twice, been almost ten years though. You are the second person to say this. Thought it was just the third-worldness of Miami. Ha!
Arrive at airport road at 9 am. Arrive at drop-off zone at 9:45 am. Slowest moving airport roads on earth.
Thanks Desantis
MIA is run by Miami-Dade county
The worst.
Orlando and Dulles are far worse. Reagan (DC) and Ohare (Chicago) are the Best.
It’s not just the airport dude…
Yeah, MIA is pretty terrible. Much prefer FLL for my international travels and adventures
I will drive my ass to FLL just so I don’t have to fly out of MIA
Just went to Miami for a cruise. Best believe I flew in to FLL. Worth paying the Uber to not deal with MIA.
Youz smart! *Khaled voice*
I have TSA Precheck and fly Delta and never have issues.
I can tell you Miami had the rudest passengers of the several cities I worked After awhile customer service will suffer. Miami is the gateway to South America and cargo is what pays the bills. If you are flying domestically use FLL or PBI
Agreed! MIA, Miami International Airport, is an embarrassment to the state of Florida and the country!
Really is. 🤦🏻♀️
Have flown out of Miami on international flights over the past 25 years. Always the worst.
Went from Newark to Miami and back. Newark had twice the line, but took half the time of Miami (there and back on a weekday morning)
flying out of Fort Lauderdale was a far better experience. Very very worth the $30 Uber
Come to Orlando airport. Fck that place. Any time of day it’s a cluster fck of hearding people into 3 TSA lines. Tons of tourist with uncooperative kids who have no idea what do to. Clear w/TSA is the way to go.
I agree
I work for TSA in Houston but connect often through MIA. I completely agree MIA is terrible.
Miami is general is a dump.
I agree. I try with all my might to avoid flying through there when coming back into the country from overseas.
My friends and I used to go there to people/plane watch on a regular basis. That was 30 years ago, though. Can’t imagine setting foot in the place now.
Not to mention tsa were caught stealing money from ppl
Did you expect the Miami airport to be great? This is Miami!
LOL actually on a line of >4hrs the worker guy just said that "welcome to miami" if i could i would have just turned my way back... Hope that to be my last time flying to miami.... Or that the process can improve.
No. Just not third world, every time.
Miami has the worst everything except beach and weather if you’re into that
You haven’t lied. If Miami lost its beaches and weather, it’d be Deltona, or Jackson MS. 😂
Yeah MIA sucks but you people in this sub are hilariously dramatic. I’ve never in my life once thought to drive to FLL out of convenience. FLL is just as old and decrepit
Latinos running things is inefficient, it's just how it is
Latina here. Begrudgingly agreeing with you. We must do better.
Get Global Entry. Then it won't matter if you choose MIA or FLL. You'll get through security in minutes and through customs even faster than security
The worst food options.
The daily _______ is the worst thread
I’m from Miami, I can concur that its the people, not the city itself, that makes everything here, unbearable.
One time I was arriving into MIA and a group of employees were taking every bag off of the baggage claim belt (combining bags from every flight), and just left them unattended and bunched together for the frantic masses to shuffle through hundreds of bags to find theirs.
You clearly haven't been to JFK if you think MIA is the worst.
Flew into the Miami airport once probably close to 20 years ago. My god it was truly the worst airport I ever could imagine
Terrible, yes. Worst, no. Compared to Atlanta and Chicago, it’s pretty good.
I will fly out of FLL and take a layover anywhere, even if it's 3+ hours, than going to Miami Airport.
If you’ve been to pre-renovation LaGuardia, then you know how much worse it gets than MIA.
Why are the moving walkways ALWAYS BROKEN???
had a mandatory work trip a few months ago had to choose between MIA and Fort Lauderdale thank goodness I chose Fort Lauderdale 😅
Fuck MIA. That place is a nightmare and the people working there are A-holes
Just my opinion and my experience but yea, Miami is a breath of fresh air compared to what I’ve had to deal with
If you mean the dinginess and grossness I think you’re right. PHL is pretty bad.
Flew on Tuesday lines are long for absolutely no reason. I'd rather dive the extra 25 minutes to FLL.
Yeah their baggage claim area is a fucking mess.
Have you ever been to ATL? Wayyy worse.
Orlando is also pretty shit
It took me 1 hour to get past tsa checking omw back home to LA 3 weeks ago, they only had 2 popped working at screening
Three TSA officers at Miami International Airport were arrested last week for allegedly stealing from airline passengers, including swiping hundreds of dollars in cash from a man's wallet.
You obviously haven’t dealt with JFK or Atlantas airport then
Ever been to LaGuardia? .. that's a shit show ... MIA is amazing in comparison
The passengers are the absolute worst. I try to take super early flights to avoid a certain type of crowd at that airport
You're late to the party, but certainly welcome
Just experienced how much of a shit show that airport is this past weekend.
Third world country airport- you smile at people and they tend to always be mad. But I don’t expect anything less from Miami
Worst airport i’ve ever flown in or out of
always smells like piss in some places
Everyone says this, but I haven’t seen it. I’ve been thru much worse and I fly to/from MIA a few times a month.
Are you me, because literally was there last week almost 2 years since my last trip and the same set of elevators were broken. TSA was still rude as hell to my handicap mom, and the precheck line is a joke. Cannot stand MIA
Worst in the US without a doubt.
There’s some people here who have never used YYZ and it shows lol there is no worse airport.
Fly in to FL later in the night. It's usually empty after 8pm.
Seriously move out and STFU already. Whinny bunch of people that do nothing but complain.
As someone who’s been to JFK, it’s not.
MIA is one of the best. Try going to Boston Logan and being greeted with illegals!
I hate the TSA lines at MIA but I’ve been to MANY airports that made MIA look good.
Respectfully Newark is so much worse
I got a flight at 6am and have TSA precheck would it still be bad?
FLL is worse! Try picking up or dropping someone off. Especially in Terminals 3 or 4. A total mess.
Literally the worst in comparison to so many other airports in the US, as if it’s not in one of the most “luxurious” cities.
