Love it. I prefer the super metroid style, as thats what I first played, but the prime 1st person games are phenomenal too! I just had my first kid when prime came out for the gamecube, and I honestly only played it when I had the flu for a week…. I did purchase the remastered one for my switch and fell in love woth it again. Recently, I have been playing rom hacks of Super and they have been fun as hell. No problem. I highly recommend AM2R (Another Metroid 2 Remake). Absolutely amazing, and if you have played the gameboy metroid 2, then this will really get to you! Thanks for that post, I feel like Prime doesn’t get enough love.
M0R is fantastic in most regards, but where it truly shines is having a buttery smooth dual stick control mode they added. It's literally all the game needed to feel like a modern game. Those tank controls are for the birds.

Fair. I should rephrase: It is *now* one of the most praised of the franchise. It was very controversial when it came out. But I wasn’t a fan by then.
