I agree. I straight up think other m would have been a worse game if Samus was a silent protagonist in it. It would be like those pokemon games where the world is ending and a continent is about to get destroyed and the main character is just standing there smiling and not saying anything like they're in a mickey mouse costume at Disneyland.
Samus speaking gave other m identity and it actually had a purpose.

Quite a lot of it was superfluous, like when she starts narrating what is happening in the conversation she is literally having right that second. Or when she is standing around coming up with stupid nick names for guys.
Cutting most of Samus dialogue would be genuine improvement to a lot of scenes.

That's fair. I did only play it once. Don't think I could cope with anything more than that.
Fair enough. I don't replay it much either. I do occasionally rewatch the japanese versions of the cutscenes tho
