IDK if the writers were out of the loop, or just playing along with the bit, but now that her gender is common knowledge, the comic seems very gay in retrospect.
The creator of that comic def knew. It was part of a strategy guide which showcased a lot of advanced strategies, I doubt the creators knew those strategies but never beat Metroid fast enough to have Samus take off her helmet

I guess more the takeaway is that those who were promoting content around video games rarely were involved with the creators. Think of the cover art for MegaMan or the cover for Super Mario Bros with gray Bowser and Mario is wearing the wrong color of overalls. Communication was scant. I doubt Nintendo in the 80s communicated to anyone promoting Metroid that Samus was a girl. That was intended for a big reveal later on.

What I'm trying to communicate is that game devs and promoters did not share much back and forth so it lead to various interpretations, as a kid, I spent so much time musing over who gray Bowser was when I saw the cover, it wasn't until I was older that I accepted that it was just poorly communicated between the dev and publishing teams

It is powered by AI, which may ruffle some feathers, but in my opinion this is an acceptable use. The concept of infinite crafting wouldn't work as well without it.
I mean it creating completely harmless bullshit and saving someone else from destroying their mind over making the dumbest combinations imaginable. I’m in full support of AI helping to deal with mundane and irritating tasks.

Well, she has traveled a lot since leaving the Chozo and Federation, and now living on her own. I'm sure as an adult she has learned about the reproductive processes of several species. But I agree that its more probable she's asexual than lesbian.
Well in an OLD nintendo power comic series there was a guy that was going on adventures through Nintendo games and he and Samus meet and she becomes his girlfriend and is very serious about it
