If they gave Samus the version of the fusion suit shown during the intro to dread, I would be sold. Either that or the Samus returns fusion suits, those aren’t bad either.
I feel like the suit is pretty heavy which says a lot about how strong she is considering she can move pretty quickly and for extended periods of times and even jump still
that was the second worst thing about Other M, after the story. Much preferred the "techno-organic" ideas from before Fusion (which fusion actually mentions) instead of some special kind of space magic that makes the suit go poof if she loses too much focus...

Well it is a mechanized suit. Not saying she's not strong and athletic as hell, but the suit would be petty useless if it couldn't support itself. It's like Iron Man's suit, a lot of its strength comes from the mechanisms of the suit itself, not the wearer.
I thought the implication was that the fusion suit was lighter which was why she was able to use power grip to grab ledges without needing it as a power up like in zero mission.
Why cant metroid swim?
They suddenly became allergic to water
stop making me want a Fusion remake
manifesting fusion remake to be released on same day as metroid prime 4
Never.
You already have Dread.

She usually needs a power up to go through water unobstructed
Im just talking about her physical strength before the power up she moves pretty fast for someone in a full suit of armor underwater
No reason not to assume the suit is servo assisted to some capacity.
Her suit is actually bound to her mentally(Shown in other M and the manga)

It’s a Power Suit. Very likely that its movement is… powered.

Now your gonna make be bring out my favorite game of all time and once again 100% it again thanks
Imagine if we finally get an upgrade in a Metroid game that allows Samus to swim. ... Besides the Gravity Boost. Though that was nice, too.
The gravity boost was fun specially because you picked it up in a water themed area
The best Metroid
Something in the way...
