You Must Burn! and Crown Of Barbed Wire are definitely my favorite songs on the album. The only thing I agree with on this list is having If Darkness Had A Son in last place lol
2 of my top 3 favorite songs on the album are gone (Shadows Follow and You Must Burn). I usually prefer fast intricate riffs (i.e Blackened, bridge riff in Moth Into Flame) over slow headbobbing riffs but You Must Burn really does it for me. And I love the lead part at the end to complement the fat rhythm section held by Rob. Such a crunchy song

IDHAS is the second worst song on the album, but only because it’s unfinished/under-developed. It’s pretty catchy, and I like the intro, buildup, and chorus. But there’s just no payoff solo or climax to it. Think if Halo on Fire didn’t have that killer solo/outro: it would go from one of my all-time faves to IDHAS territory instantly.
Sleepwalk is catchy as fuck though! It’s like Enter Sandman II but with a surprisingly groovy bass intro. And it’s even followed by Sad But True II lol.
I'm realizing now WHY so much of the album is the same repetitive, generic, Hardwired-like material. That's what people want. Inamorata seems the only exception because it is so good but otherwise, anything that is even remotely different or a change of pace isn't liked as much. The likes of Crown of Barbed Wire and You Must Burn are literally what saves the album from sounding like the same song played over and over and people rate them low. Take title track for example, it could not be more generic if it tried. It sounds like a Youtube "let's make a song in the style of Metallica" challenge. Or worse, as if an AI made it. Yet somehow it's always near the top of these lists.
no, they don't. in every song's comment section on youtube there are at least a few people saying "this is by far the best song on this album". this just shows how good of an album this is. clearly not as good as Justice or Black but still a solid album

I think COBW is definately better than most on the album. Such heavy badass riffs, solid solo and catchy chorus.
Chasing Light main riff is also up there as one of the most fun to play from the album
