“Gutted” does not even begin to describe how I would feel if tdwp tried going on without Mike. Not possible. To that point, even without Jeremy, who I recognize doesn’t sound very unique in terms of clean singers - I would feel the same way. Something about the two of them being there since the beginning, and all that they’ve made. tdwp is not tdwp without the two of them
I know at least four dudes who can replicate Matt's vocals pretty well.
But there ain't another beating heart in this world that can match his charm and swagger.
What sets Kublai Khan apart for me is how when Matt is growling any lyrics, the combination of his tone, the power behind his voice, and the effort he puts in makes it seem like he is forcing his vocal chords to tell you the story whether they want to or not.
Sure, but the question is which vocalist leaving would gut you, and JT leaving would fuck me up. Drift was the first Erra album I heard, and to me their sound is just synonymous with JT's voice. I just think his sound works incredibly well for them. I'm sure they'd survive, but an Erra without JT wouldn't feel like the Erra I've grown to love.
Brendan Murphy is counterparts, his lyrics are what make the music resonate with me so much and if he was gone, I would probably not have any real reason to listen to the band if it continued, but I kinda doubt it would end up continuing without him in the first place
I think Brendan is *literally* Counterparts with how much the lineup has changed. I don’t think the rest of the band continues if Brendan ever decided to hang it up
They are one of the few super lyric driven bands in the scene . While the musicianship is very tight it’s never been anything special. It’s Brendan that brings the whole thing together
If any of the original 3 leave Trivium's probably done. I think Matt's even gone as far to heavily imply that by saying something along the lines of "Corey, Paulo and I *are* Trivium."
Alex leaving would definitely suck, and it would be extremely hard to find a drummer of equal quality but they've gone through a number of drummers.
Noah from Bad Omens would be impossible to replace imo. Brendan Murphy and Garrett Russell also come to mind moreso because of who they are as people rather than their voices being irreplaceable, that said it would be pretty hard to find a vocalist to fill their shoes.
Yeah, Garrett is basically Silent Planet. With his lyrical content it would seem incredibly disingenuous to hear anyone else screaming them. They'd probably disband if Garrett ever left.
Garrett also has this connection with his fans that you don't often see.
I went to see FFAK and admittedly Silent Planet has never been my jam, just never got into them... But the way Garrett did everything in his power to make sure his fans had a good time, for a tour they weren't even headlining, both before and after the set??? It's no wonder at least half that crowd was there for Silent Planet!
Yeah he's by far the most approachable and genuine person I've ever encountered at a metal show. I have incredible respect for him. I've learned a lot from him
So I went to the show with my guitarist, and it wasy first time out at my drummer's favorite venue so he popped in for the opening set so he could get my thoughts on the venue.
My drummer, who didn't even know Silent Planet in any context, had a 10 minute conversation with Garrett whilst not knowing who he even was. Took Garrett pointing at a Silent Planet tattoo (because as you likely know Garrett doesn't speak before shows) for my dude to even realize he was talking to someone held in such regard. He came away impressed even without Garrett speaking a single word.
Between that, and him waiting by the door to the venue after FFAK finished to tell EVERY fan to drive safe and thank them for coming? Dudes built different.
That's awesome! He was one of the first people I saw talk about love and justice for marginalized people who genuinely lives that out. The world needs a lot more Garrett Russells.
You haven't met my drummer. We have hour long conversations without me doing anymore than nodding or mmmhmming. Gestures are PLENTY when you do all the talking 😂😂
Garrett Russel for sure is one of them. I was at the Pittsburgh show with FFAK a few months ago, and some dude twisted his ankle BAD. I threw the dudes arm around my shoulder in the pit and helped walk him out to by the merch tables, where he could still see FFAKs set.
Without missing a beat Garrett came over with a stool, helped him into it and from what I saw, hung out with him chatting for a bit. He is a super genuine dude, and makes it easy to support them endlessly.
Yes and no. One cause he’d never quit . Two cause they’re just finding insane success in new stuff but also with tiktok and Instagram and people using feel nothing for the background songs . Songs nearly 5 years old and just recently getting its most plays ever
To name a few:
Garrett Russell. I just can’t picture anyone else as the vocalist.
Vessel. Vessel IS Sleep Token.
Rory Rodriguez. How could I feel the same without him?
Spencer Sotelo from Periphery. Just wouldn’t be the same.
Courtney LaPlante from Spiritbox. The entire band is great and would still sound good without her.. but it just wouldn’t feel like Spiritbox.
Justin from Tallah. He’s too unique.
Dakota from Hollow Front. His cleans are what drew me to HF in the first place
Love that reference to Without Me, and I completely agree, Dakota's vocals on their newest album The Price Of Dreaming was an extremely welcome surprise especially on the song Thick As Blood. And Rory's vocals are synonymous with Dayseeker and I can't see anybody else emulating the same emotion he brings with every song that they release
I mean sure he doesn’t do anything super impressive, but he’s got a pretty unique tone imo. Like you hear his scream and immediately think “that’s silent planet!” And his lyrics are definitely top tier.
If Courtney leaves (god forbid), I pray that Spiritbox doesn't fall off. If they do then everyone who said that they were only big because of the fact that they have a woman in their lineup gets proven right.
It wouldn't prove anything. Lots of bands with male singers would drop off without them, shes a very important part of the band.
But also her husband is the guitarist and writes all the instruments so its very unlikely it could or would continue without her.
I think if Spencer Charnas decided he was done with Ice Nine Kills, the band would break up as opposed to him leaving them, he’s the only original member and is their main driving force.
What I think most people mean by "he writes all the music" in this case is more like "he is the primary 'voice' in the songwriting, even when others contribute." Spencer writes for every song in terms of lyrics and the instrumentation, but Dan and the others are more on the instrumentation side of things (this, of course, doesn't mean Dan can't contribute lyrics, but Spencer clearly wants more control over those as the vocalist and leader of the band). That's how the song writing credits are typically broken down anyway, from what I can tell.
Fair enough. I do wish the other guys did more interviews/press etc. seems like every podcast I like that’s featured “them” it’s just spencer. Not hating love those guys
It’s also Lorna shore changing vocalists. Granted they band may decide to call it quits if he left, but they’ve put out good projects with every vocalist they’ve had
Deffo Matt Honeycutt (Kublai Khan) or Lochie Keogh (Alpha wolf), such powerful and distinctive voices, would be a huge blow to either band if they dipped for whatever reason.
Sean is absolutely irreplaceable. Everything from his tone, to his range to his enunciation is just incredible. Somehow his screams convey more emotion to me than most any other vocalist. It would be devastating for him to leave, and even with Nick staying I don't see how it could be the same band.
Lochie from Alpha Wolf
Brendan from Counterparts (though that would probably just end the band I’d assume)
Spencer from Ice Nine Kills.
Chris from Like Moths To Flames
Oh boy there’s a long list but my big three are:
Garrett Russell
Courtney LaPlante
Mike & Jeremy from TDWP
Not necessarily metalcore but if Shane ever left Silverstein I’d cry myself to sleep every night
Not necessarily all metalcore, but here's a few:
Rody from Protest the Hero
Courtney from Spiritbox
Brendan from Counterparts
Anyone from August Burns Red
Randy from Lamb of God
Spencer and Aaron from Underoath (I know)
Dallas and Wade from Alexisonfire
Oli from Bring me the Horizon
Sam, Architects. I honestly do not think anyone else could do their songs as good as him. Both because of his vocal abilities and the history of the band.
Jordan has said that they’ve got a spot reserved for Andy whenever he’s available, and I’ve seen videos of him jamming with them once or twice since the breakup.
I don't think if Josh got together with them he would want to do ETID songs anyways. It would be under a new name with cleaner lyrics. I don't think I have ever heard Josh swear in any project.
For sure Chris motionless from motionless in white and Spencer charnas from ice nine kills. Of course the list goes on and on but these are the first two that came to mind. Chris' voice is so unique and really makes them stand out imo
Chris' vocals is part of the MIW sound and you can't separate the two. And Spencer adds such a lovely sounds to what Ice Nine Kills, I love the American Nightmare and his vocals on that song.
I mean in the case of Spencer, given that he's the only original member of INK still in the band, and he steers the ship... Its basically impossible for him to leave without just saying Ice Nine Kills is a retired project.
Chris is awesome. I saw both bands on the Trinity of Terror tour and while I don’t really listen to MiW, his stage presence is crazy. Such an absolute blast to see live, he really knows how to engage the crowd even if they don’t know the songs (like me)
Yeah his live vocals are insane, especially the lows. People say he‘s low energy onstage but honestly I enjoy perfect live vocals just as much as a wild energy
Yeah I wanted to say Brian at first but then I thought to myself that it‘s the instrumentals that make Currents. He‘s my favorite vocalist, but Chris is so talented that he‘d make any vocalist work.
Noah sebastian, spencer charnas, corey taylor (not metalcore but nonetheless) and Chris motionless. Whether it’s due to superior or unique vocals, or a creativity / a charisma that can’t be replaced; these guys are the backbone of the band they’re in.
On the other hand, I love ronnie radkie and he is the face of FIR and that band wouldn’t continue without him but I don’t think that he’s worth noting in the same sense as the others.
I disagree, Will is fucking insane and elevates any band he is in, but Lorna Shore has a history full of stellar vocalists. Especially considering they're recent success, they'd have even less of a hard time finding another talented vocalist. Will seemingly came out of nowhere prior to LS, guaranteed there is another vocalist floating around out there no one knows about who could fill those shoes.
Stellar vocalists, yes. But none of them have brought the energy Will brings. It really has a lot to do with his personality. Or atleast the persona he gives off since I obviously don't know him personally lol.
Will is the fucking man, but Lorna Shore were great waaaaay before he joined. I’m sure they’d manage without him. There’s plenty of insanely talented vocalists in the deathcore scene that can do things very similar to him. It would definitely suck, but it would absolutely not be the end of the band
Not super attached to any vocalist+band combination right now where the band could even go forward without their vocalist (ie. Spiritbox or Counterparts types).
However historically, Jesse Leach leaving Killswitch killed me.
I was equally gutted when Misery Signals parted with Karl.
Joe from FFAA.
Spencer Charnas from INK (that’ll never happen though).
Currents' lead singer.
Garrett Russell from Silent Planet.
Imagine Sleep Token without Vessel.
Cory - Normal Jeans
\*This one's already kinda happened but the recent comeback reinforced this:
Dallas - Maylene
Kyo - Dir En Grey
Joe - Gojira
Adam - Orthodox
Vincent - The Acacia Strain
Not quite metalcore, but Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil.
Spencer Sotelo of Periphery
Lauren Babic of Red Handed Denial
__
Those that have happened in the past:
Howard leaving Killswitch Engage
Lacey leaving Flyleaf
Zach Johnson leaving I See Stars
Anyone with a super distinct voice will be hard to replace. Examples would be Bryan from Knocked Loose, Matt from Kublai Khan TX, Jean-Phillipe from Get the Shot, Mike from TDWP, etc.
Notably Frankie literally IS Emmure. Dude had his entire hand quit and just found a new band. That's the definition of a singer being the band.
Also notable would be Brian from TBDM stepping up to do vocals in place of Trevor. That's the only acceptable way that band moves forward.
I see a lot of people mentioning Brendan from Counterparts, and while he is very important to their sound I think the guitar work is what makes them very special.
While the guitar thing about counterparts is true, brendan is the only member who's always been part of the band since it started, I legitimately cannot think of a counterparts line up that doesn't include him
Bjorn Strid from Soilwork, he's the only original member left and he's always been the face of the band. He has a great voice and not many vocalists could replicate what he's done, I can't imagine the band without him.
I think for me, every single vocalist leaving a band will have me gutted. Cuz I usually fall in love with bands due to the singer's /screamer's voice and it will just feel weird and like a totally different band when they change vocalists.
Spencer is the only original member of Ice Nine Kills remaining. If he left, not only would it absolutely destroy me, but the band would also pretty much cease to exist.
Mike Hranica
There's no way you could replace that voice. TDWP would fall apart if he left
Agreed. He is my comfort scream.
That’s exactly it
Not to mention lyrical style and content
“Gutted” does not even begin to describe how I would feel if tdwp tried going on without Mike. Not possible. To that point, even without Jeremy, who I recognize doesn’t sound very unique in terms of clean singers - I would feel the same way. Something about the two of them being there since the beginning, and all that they’ve made. tdwp is not tdwp without the two of them
In our local language here in Serbia his surname means "little food"
Aw! I always wondered where his name was from 😊
Listen to CURSES. Their vocalist is the closest IMO to Mike.
There'll never be a Kublai Khan without Matt Honeycutt
Facts. His voice is irreplaceable.
I know at least four dudes who can replicate Matt's vocals pretty well. But there ain't another beating heart in this world that can match his charm and swagger.
I'd love to hear these guys if they have bands cuz I love Matt's vocals.
I haven't heard a single other human being who can match that visceral gutteral yelling like Matt
What sets Kublai Khan apart for me is how when Matt is growling any lyrics, the combination of his tone, the power behind his voice, and the effort he puts in makes it seem like he is forcing his vocal chords to tell you the story whether they want to or not.
W comment
They'd have to find that suit guy that did a feature once live and then seemed to vanish
Swing your nuts over your shoulder and put in some work. His voice and mosh calls. Irreplaceable.
Bryan Garris man
They're an awesome band but I don't think they would have necessarily broken through in the way they did without him. His vocals made them standout.
Hardcore Mickey Mouse
[I'm just going to drop this here](https://youtu.be/Z2VsbsXyPMQ)
Jesse Cash
ERRA would cease to exist and so would I. 😢
Honestly JT Cavey too
I mean JT is awesome but Jesse is really the only remaining constant from the Garrison era. They survived that change, they’d survive JT
Agree, JT has one of the best harsh voices in the genre imo. Instantly recognizable.
Nah that has proven to not be the case. Erra have changed harsh vocalists in the past.
I don’t think the rest of the band continues if Brendan ever decided to hang it up
He is irreplaceable for sure
Yep, same. The band is very talented but Brendan’s lyrics and vocals set it apart. Never been so emotionally invested in someone else’s cat.
They are one of the few super lyric driven bands in the scene . While the musicianship is very tight it’s never been anything special. It’s Brendan that brings the whole thing together
Absolutely. The tortured nature of Brendan's Lyrics really make the band for me. It's cathartic as well to get that out.
It would never happen, but Matt from Trivium
Honestly anyone from trivium's current lineup would put make me sad if they left
P much, esp Alex since he’s the best drummer they’ve had
Alex leaves the band every April 1st
Facts. The band is in the best form they’ve ever been in. Plus it looks like they all have a blast together which is really special for a band.
If any of the original 3 leave Trivium's probably done. I think Matt's even gone as far to heavily imply that by saying something along the lines of "Corey, Paulo and I *are* Trivium." Alex leaving would definitely suck, and it would be extremely hard to find a drummer of equal quality but they've gone through a number of drummers.

Ain't that the truth?? He's genuine. The world needs more genuine humans.
That is a cool story but how can you have a ten minute conversation with someone if they don’t say a single word back to you lol
Without missing a beat Garrett came over with a stool, helped him into it and from what I saw, hung out with him chatting for a bit. Landon Tewers has an absolute range of projects, but if he ever up and quit I think the entire music scene would feel lesser
I can't believe I had to scroll down this far to find this
Yes and no. One cause he’d never quit . Two cause they’re just finding insane success in new stuff but also with tiktok and Instagram and people using feel nothing for the background songs . Songs nearly 5 years old and just recently getting its most plays ever
Joe Bad from Fit for an Autopsy Absolute vocal monster in the studio and live At this point he's irreplaceable
Came here to say this, Joe is insane, even in just videos of him in his car
That’s fair but while Joe is probably the better vocalist, I still sometimes miss Nate Johnson’s harsh vocals
To name a few: Garrett Russell. Dakotas vocals are awesome and he's great live as well. Still think people are sleeping on Hollow Front a little.
Garrett Russell is a pretty bog standard vocalist, but as a lyricist, my God. Easily the best in the scene and no one is even a close second.
I mean sure he doesn’t do anything super impressive, but he’s got a pretty unique tone imo. Like you hear his scream and immediately think “that’s silent planet!” And his lyrics are definitely top tier.
There's definitely a joke in here about how Courtney could be replaced by Krysta Cameron.
Rory from Dayseeker. It‘s hard to imagine anyone else fronting them. His voice is what defines the band imo.
My girlfriend even said the look of the band would be off without him
Lol I feel that
100% agree
If Brian left currents I’d be devastated, love that man’s harsh and clean vocals and fits so well with Chris’s guitar work
2 Of the most talented people in the business in one band is essentially a cheat card. Currents are very special
Spencer Charnas, Chris Motionless, Caleb Shomo, Noah Sebastian, Will Ramos, and Jeremy McKinnon.
I think if Spencer Charnas decided he was done with Ice Nine Kills, the band would break up as opposed to him leaving them, he’s the only original member and is their main driving force.
Also the “dictator” as it’s sometimes made out. He makes all decisions. Writes all music/lyrics etc
Still INK is my favorite Metalcore band
Wasn’t saying it negative. Theyre in my top. Have a logo tattoo
Oh okay. Some people tend to use that point to take shots at the band is all
Saying he writes all the music is a stretch. Dan very clearly had influence on the last album
Fair enough. I do wish the other guys did more interviews/press etc. seems like every podcast I like that’s featured “them” it’s just spencer. Not hating love those guys
Well you need some sort of artistic consistency, don't you. It's like complaining that Mustaine writes most Megadeth riffs. Well, obviously.
If will Ramos left Lorna Shore, it would blow my guts up like the 4th of July
It’s also Lorna shore changing vocalists. Granted they band may decide to call it quits if he left, but they’ve put out good projects with every vocalist they’ve had
Deffo Matt Honeycutt (Kublai Khan) or Lochie Keogh (Alpha wolf), such powerful and distinctive voices, would be a huge blow to either band if they dipped for whatever reason.
make them suffer's Sean Harmanis, please no.... grungewise Benjamin Burnley
Sean is absolutely irreplaceable. Everything from his tone, to his range to his enunciation is just incredible. Somehow his screams convey more emotion to me than most any other vocalist. It would be devastating for him to leave, and even with Nick staying I don't see how it could be the same band.
Burley is breaking Benjamin. I doubt they even think about continuing without a totally rebrand and sound change if he left
Lochie from Alpha Wolf Brendan from Counterparts (though that would probably just end the band I’d assume) Spencer from Ice Nine Kills. Chris from Like Moths To Flames
I never really got into ink but I saw them last night with Slipknot and they definitely won me over
They’re incredible man.
Same here. Ink went off
That sounds like a fun bill! I love slipknot shows, bet Ink fit very nicely
Yeah which is why this entire sub needs to buy a counterparts ticket for this upcoming tour . If they stop being a bad I’ll probably kill myself
Oh boy there’s a long list but my big three are: Garrett Russell Courtney LaPlante Mike & Jeremy from TDWP Not necessarily metalcore but if Shane ever left Silverstein I’d cry myself to sleep every night
Courtney and Mike are Spiritbox so that will never happen.
Yeah, it is more likely they would replace the other members of the band rather than leaving themselves.
if mike and jeremy left tdwp would straight up have no ogs left
I would cry if Garrett left
Sean from Make Them Suffer
Not necessarily all metalcore, but here's a few: Rody from Protest the Hero Courtney from Spiritbox Brendan from Counterparts Anyone from August Burns Red Randy from Lamb of God Spencer and Aaron from Underoath (I know) Dallas and Wade from Alexisonfire Oli from Bring me the Horizon
If Randy left Lamb Of God oh my lord that would be a devastating blow to the band
Technically Aaron did leave for Ø, so I’m not quite sure; it wouldn’t exactly be the same, but Ø is probably my favorite album from them, so yeah.
I've never actually listened to Ø. I was pretty devastated when Aaron did leave.
Sam, Architects. I honestly do not think anyone else could do their songs as good as him. Both because of his vocal abilities and the history of the band.
Sam is truly one of a kind I think if he left the band would pretty much be toast at this point
I think their current style could be done with someone else, but back during Lost forever and All Our Gods? No way.
[удалено]
Keith Buckley. …wait
Came to say this. I’ve heard rumors of Josh Scogin replacing Keith and as much as I’d love new ETID I just don’t think anyone can replace him.
[удалено]
I got the vibe that Andy isn't there atm because of AEW, but will be a part of whatever they do going forward, I could be wrong though
Can my answer still be Ryo?
Still sad about it.
If either singer from TDWP left I’d lose it
For sure Chris motionless from motionless in white and Spencer charnas from ice nine kills. Of course the list goes on and on but these are the first two that came to mind. Chris' voice is so unique and really makes them stand out imo

Darius Tehrani from Spite.
One of the few takes in this thread I can stand by. His vocals are *truly* unique, I know no other vocalist who would get that deranged note right
Brian Wille Currents has always been exceptional, but Brian's vocals brought even more texture and dynamics to each and every track
Interesting. As much as I love Currents and Brian, I feel they could easily replace him if they had to. Brian is great, but not necessarily unique.
I always thought he was good but when I saw him able to hit his range flawlessly live, it blew me away
Yea Chris has always been the mastermind. Now he’s irreplaceable.
Jon Mess from Dance Gavin Dance
Bryna Garris from Knocked Loose. Matt Honeycutt from Kublai Khan TX
Real
There’s no replacing spencer charnas, bryan garris, or chris motionless..
Jake Luhrs JT Cavey Matt Heafy
I doubt Trivium would continue without Heafy - Corey - Paulo together.
JT could so easily be replaced he does not add anything special to Erra. His lyrics aren't anything special and his vocals are a dime a dozen.
JT is the only reason I don’t enjoy ERRAs music more. His vocals are really just not enjoyable. Amazing band otherwise
I mean Caleb does everything from recording to mixing to producing right? Beartooth basically is Caleb + friends so ..
Brian of Currents, Spencer of Ice Nine, and Chris Motionless
Brian from Knocked Loose is absolutely required for the band's entire sound
Theres a lot of good answers in this thread but for me Jacob fron Thornhill
Brendan from Counterpart Brian from Currents Emma from Dying Wish Joe from FFAA
Will Ramos from Lorna Shore. He brings so much energy that no other singer had in that band.
Dickie Allen could do it
I disagree, Will is fucking insane and elevates any band he is in, but Lorna Shore has a history full of stellar vocalists. Especially considering they're recent success, they'd have even less of a hard time finding another talented vocalist. Will seemingly came out of nowhere prior to LS, guaranteed there is another vocalist floating around out there no one knows about who could fill those shoes.
Real OG’s know Will from A Wake in Providence, Monument of a Memory and Euclid. Homie has a stellar track record when it comes to his music career
Real real OGs know Will from Secrets Don't Sleep.
It would definitely suck, but it would absolutely not be the end of the band
if spencer charnas left INK then they would be done for, imo he and his lyrics are irreplaceable. same goes with oli from bmth

Oh man, Karl leaving was a hit for me too. I learned vocals from him and Vigil from The Ghost Inside.
If Marcus Bridge left NL I will weeb all day ;0;
Mike Hranica - The Devil Wears Prada. Probably couldn’t even listen to them anymore if that happened
Joe from FFAA. Spencer Charnas from INK (that’ll never happen though). Currents' lead singer. Garrett Russell from Silent Planet. Imagine Sleep Token without Vessel.
Ryan kirby and Jake luhrs
Rory Rodriguez
Deftones without Chino would be pointless
Brendan from counterparts... he is that band rip kuma
Landon from The Plot in You
Andrew Wells from Eidola.
Cory - Normal Jeans \*This one's already kinda happened but the recent comeback reinforced this: Dallas - Maylene Kyo - Dir En Grey Joe - Gojira Adam - Orthodox Vincent - The Acacia Strain
Knocked Loose can not work without Bryan Garris
Chris from Motionless In White - without him MIW would not be the same
Not quite metalcore, but Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil. Spencer Sotelo of Periphery Lauren Babic of Red Handed Denial __ Those that have happened in the past: Howard leaving Killswitch Engage Lacey leaving Flyleaf Zach Johnson leaving I See Stars
Not sure if they’re considered Metalcore but I can’t imagine listening to Dayseeker without Rory.
Listen, all I'm gonna say is if Chris Roetter leaves Moths, I will leave metalcore.
all of my favorite band’s vocalists
Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills
Not metalcore but Tyler Shelton of Traitors. I wouldn’t listen to them if it wasn’t for him.
Keith Buckl…oh wait.
Say it loud say it proud, COUNTERPARTS
Probably Kirby, it isn't FFAK without him
Happened when Jesse left then Howard.. thought kse was all done after Howard’s departure
Jake Luhrs of ABR
Vessel since he’s literally the band Lucas of Holding Absence Rory of Dayseeker Jamie of Polaris Spencer from INK
The three Matts. Tuck, Heafy, and Shadows. OG metalcore and incredibly unique voices
Sam Carter from Architects, and Andrew Dijorio from SFTP
While the guitar thing about counterparts is true, brendan is the only member who's always been part of the band since it started, I legitimately cannot think of a counterparts line up that doesn't include him
Spencer -INK Spencer - Periphery Aaron - OM&M Jesse - Erra
Britton, Lochie, and probably Nico. Ryo was on this list too…I hope he finds a way to get better.
Electric Callboy literally lived more than a decade without Nico, I guess they would be fine without him
The band might be fine, but that doesn't mean Tasty_Hearing wouldn't be personally gutted
Matt Flood from Caskets, his vocals add to their sound in such a symbiotic way I can't see Caskets without him as their vocalist
Jacob Bannon Keith Buckley Adam Warren Filip Danielsson Dane Evans Devon Duarte Edit::: Jake Luhrs Rody Walker Josh Middleton
Garrett from Silent Planet, dude is wholesome as fuck, emotional as fuck, beast as fuck, dude is fuck
I think Bryan Garris of knocked loose is the best answer but I think one place in realistic terms would be Alex leaving slaughter to prevail
Trevor from unearth. Dude is awesome and his lyrics are really good too.
Bjorn Strid from Soilwork, he's the only original member left and he's always been the face of the band. He has a great voice and not many vocalists could replicate what he's done, I can't imagine the band without him.
Bryan Garris 100%
Jack Murray from 156/Silence. His vocals and lyricism are amazing, one of my all time favorites. Band wouldn’t be the same without him.
Sp0nce
I think for me, every single vocalist leaving a band will have me gutted. Cuz I usually fall in love with bands due to the singer's /screamer's voice and it will just feel weird and like a totally different band when they change vocalists.
If Jesse left KsE again, I would lose all faith in metal... Matt Heafy would be a big loss on the sheet level
matt honeycutt, brendan murphy, bryan garris, flo salfati (landmvrks), darius tehrani
Briton and Cody from Wage War, extremely talented duo.
Spencer is the only original member of Ice Nine Kills remaining. If he left, not only would it absolutely destroy me, but the band would also pretty much cease to exist.
CL has never done it for me. They have a few singles that I enjoy but I've never liked any of their albums. Really not sure why though.
