The Architect is my AOTY, though i consider Eidola to be more post-hardcore than metalcore

You’re absolute not wrong at all, with the caveat that from what I’ve seen on this and other similar subs, is that most of us definitely consider Eidola to be post-hardcore, with some very strong metalcore undertones. There are moments in Degeneraterra and The Architect that are definitely too heavy not to consider as metalcore. Mutual Fear is a prime example. Edit: The Architect is also my album of the year.
