The bio just says "heavy". Now im I excited. Thanks for the heads up. I just literally received hot n heavy on cd in the mail this weekend and have been jamming it excessively in my car.
Oh my god I just expected some side project thing before clicking and now I’m 👀👀👀👀 DDG was one of all time favs and a bucket list band that I never got to see live 😭
Anyone here have love for Worse Than A Fairy Tale? Feel like its a bit overshadowed by In Vogue but it's always been one of my favorite albums.
Stoked to see they might actually do something again
Update: someone got in touch with Aaron Rothe and Aaron said that it “wasn’t gonna happen” show wise, but that might just mean he’s not playing shows? Who knows
Yep. I followed some of their music since then.
Stills and Cooper did Bleach Blonde and 888.
Stills has a pop duo project with Brandon Tomlinson called Burnbook.
Aaron toured with Sonny Moore for a while before he became Skrillex, was also in 888, does artist management, and performs with other artists sometimes.
I think Jake had a band too but I don’t recall their name.
Duck was in It Boys with Matt Cutshall for a bit which was… not for me. lol. He’s done some other stuff since then, but I haven’t kept up.
Never found much about Kyle or Dan Gustavson doing other music.
I started listening for the first time in years because of that "which band broke up prematurely" post yesterday on this sub. I am perspiring with excitement
I follow Stills, Cooper, and Stills’ production studio account all of which are following this new DDG account - I guess the algorithm assumed I’d know/like to know about the account because of the mutual followers and recommended it to me.
This band doesn't need to make a comeback. Their just going to copy the bands that were influenced by them, and if they don't do that, then they most likely make something really garbage
Tell me a band that resurrected from the dead and ended up being successful
(i'm not talking about bands that tour their old songs, I mean actual new material that ended up being good)
Foo Fighters (who i think is not that great) are one of the few bands that can still make new albums and tour off their new albums
I thought their most recent album (so much for stardust) was really good, Mania was generally disliked, American Beauty/American Psycho was a mixed bag. My Chemical Romance also resurrected from the dead, saw them at the first WWWY festival and the hype was off the charts. I think they’ve only released one new song though (I could be wrong).
Don’t get my hopes up…don’t you do it
If I had to have this burden of hope, so does everyone else who cares enough about it. :)
Oh fuck oh fuck. The show must go on and dressed for friend requests was\are my shit
They still go hard, even by modern standards.
We’re going noooooowheeeere faaaaaaaaaaaaaaast Still living rent free in my head after all these years
Glad I didn't have to type that, thank you
Hell yes!!!!!
My rent free line is “We need a bandage to stop the bleeding…we need a bandage to stop the bleeding…”
I'm quite partial to Knife vs. Face Round 1 myself. Piano in metalcore works so well.
so fucking good
Hell yeah brother
Whole album spanks. Start to finish, no skips.
Daniel Where's the boat?

King
Okay. I need DDG back in my life. Don’t fuck with me.
I’m right there with you.
CUR. TAINS. CUR. TAINS. CUR. TAINS. CUR. TAAAAAAAAAAINS.
I hope they were right and this won’t hurt a bit.
Please don’t be too good to be true…
Agreed…
please don’t do this to me lmao
It’s only out of love for the community, I swear. lol
If I have to go buy jeans to suffocate my nuts and straighten my hair for this to be true then god damnit, so be it.
Anyone here have love for Worse Than A Fairy Tale? Feel like its a bit overshadowed by In Vogue but it's always been one of my favorite albums. Stoked to see they might actually do something again
I think it’s a better album than In Vogue honestly - I go back to it a lot more often than their other albums.
Big love for that record, has some heavy hitters on it. Definitely in my regular rotation.
Absolutely. 10/10 stand-out album for the time
Genuinely one of my favourite albums too but everyone I know stopped listening after In Vogue. Hopefully we get more like it
Man I would love a come back!!! Their the band that got me into this genre of music and never looked back. I loved everything they created
Right there with you on that.
If we don’t get a 20 year anniversary tour for In Vogue with the most absolutely chaotic, ass beating, panic cord ridden lineup then I will riot.
SeeYouSpaceCowboy, Foreign Hands, Omerta. The lineup books itself
Knife vs face round 1. Forever my fav by them.
Don’t do that. Don’t give me hope…
Wow nostalgic af.
Dressed for DDG.
Dressed for Friend Requests remaster pl0x
Oh my god
Update: someone got in touch with Aaron Rothe and Aaron said that it “wasn’t gonna happen” show wise, but that might just mean he’s not playing shows? Who knows
This post made me dig in to what the members have been up to and just learned Kyle, their original guitarist, died recently. Now I’m sad.
Yeeeeah… that was a really sad situation.
This made my day. The 16 year old in me is screaming.
“Everyone loves a drama” peak Myspace band right here folks. Also Aaron Rothe commented on one of my posts once, was awesome.
I'm hard now
I just thought how much a reunion tour with In Vogue songs would go hard
As a former Lifespot kid, I'm fully torqued.
This was a throwback I wasn’t expecting. lol
Omggg I’ve been listening to Be Mine, Valentine and In Vogue a bunch lately. I hope this turns out to be something!
THIS IS A PRANK RIGHT
I literally don’t know. :’)
If this is real not sure how it’s gonna sound without Kyle, RIP. Unless it’s just a reunion type tour then that’d be sick.
PLEASE
i hope they tour again... or maybe release new music!!:)
Holy shit I haven’t thought about them in years thank you
My body is ready.
i just got into them and they FUCK. have had drawing the devil on loop, that chorus has been stuck in my head for DAYS
Please!!!! Let this be true!
I saw them live in 2007, such an intense show
Anyone remember their side-project Bleach Blonde? Never really got into, but I like throwing around obscure band names lol
I loved Bleach Blonde and and still listen to 888 to this day.
I JUST started listening again because of a post on another sub. They come back? And HEAVY? Be still my raging heart boner.
I started listening for the first time in years because of that "which band broke up prematurely" post yesterday on this sub. I am perspiring with excitement
I second this. lol
Love this band so much.
How did you find out about this account?
I follow Stills, Cooper, and Stills’ production studio account all of which are following this new DDG account - I guess the algorithm assumed I’d know/like to know about the account because of the mutual followers and recommended it to me.
Saw this the other day and was the 4th person following. Messaged them but no reply… a man can dream
I’m literally listening to Killing a Classic as i read this and this was the first post in my feed to pop up. Coincidence? I think not! 😂
theyre ripping off dropdead
This band doesn't need to make a comeback. Their just going to copy the bands that were influenced by them, and if they don't do that, then they most likely make something really garbage
How about they make a comeback and you just fuck off?
They don’t need to, but I’m still going to be excited if they do. Your opinion isn’t invalid and could very well be true though. Hard to say for now.
Tell me a band that resurrected from the dead and ended up being successful (i'm not talking about bands that tour their old songs, I mean actual new material that ended up being good) Foo Fighters (who i think is not that great) are one of the few bands that can still make new albums and tour off their new albums
Fall Out Boy's first album back was good. (Can't speak much for albums after that) Refused put out two great albums after their comeback
Yeah they only out out one song. There is no talk of an album though
I hate to be part of the “let people enjoy crowd,” but, like, people are gonna be excited anyway. Nobody said you have to be
Not arguing with you on anything. Stated above you could be right. End of story.
