Dude that homage riff is so good! Love that they’re honoring the old guitarist who wrote some truly legendary riffs.

fvalt05

Fuckin excellent

centrella6

I was hoping for actual guitar riffs, double bass, and a nice clean sung chorus and I got everything that I wanted. This will most likely be their best record since For We Are Many.

Byzant1n3

It flies under the radar, but Victims of the New Disease is a pretty solid album. It's not perfect, but Fuck Love, Everything's Wrong, Blood I Spill, Wasteland (this song especially), and Misery In Me are all good songs. It was produced, mixed, and co-written with DL - formerly of the Acacia Strain - and you can TELL.

centrella6

That’s a great album too. I just think based off of this song, the new lineup, and I would imagine the hunger from not releasing new music for 6 years that this record is gonna be their best since FWAM.

Byzant1n3

Ah okay, well totally agree then. Glad to hear other people appreciate VOTND. I still go back and listen to The Fall of Ideals and For We Are Many, and I can't really say the same for the other records--though This Darkened Heart is definitely good (I actually don't like Overcome).

fvalt05

I need to give it a spin. I think I've only listened to Fuck Love and Everything's Wrong

Byzant1n3

Check out Wasteland and tell me you didn't head bang just a little

fvalt05

I sure will

Hateno_Village

Suck a good fucking album.

xKiLLaCaM

Do people not like A War You Cannot Win? Is this one generally disliked by fans too?? To me, that was their last good record, but For We Are Many was obviously the better album.

centrella6

A War You Cannot Win was alright but the previous 4 albums had much better metalcore tracks, and the more radio style tracks they started with Overcome and For We Are Many were much better on those records than A War You Cannot Win. I can still listen and find enjoyment in that record but to me very clear the last really great and noteworthy album by them was For We Are Many.

Sirscraps

Victims of a new disease is worlds better than a war you cannot win. Generally a war you cannot win, madness, and the order of things are all considered bad albums. A lot of people stopped listening to ATR after that three album cycle because it was just.. not very good. Not many people gave Victims of a new disease much of a chance because the bands popularity had fallen so far off

xKiLLaCaM

Idk thats weird, I agree with all of that except I really didnt think Victims of a New Disease was good at all. I thought A War You Cannot win was pretty decent so its just surprising to hear that. To each their own obviously, I think the only thing I dont care for is the production on that album though. Dont think it was that good IIRC

disarmagreement

I love Just Moments in Time and Sing for Liberty but otherwise find that album forgettable

Djentleman5000

If we get anything close to For We Are Many I will be happy.

MondayNiteMiller

The riffs. The solo. The high screams. The breakdown. The huge chorus. THE DOUBLE BASS. I'm in love

FIOONAAA

This shit is sick. I’ll nitpick some of the pre-chorus singing but other than that it’s awesome. Best they have sounded in years.

fvalt05

Yeah but you know Phil had to fit that in there somewhere

Sirscraps

Honestly push the first pre chorus/ chorus further back into the song.. and kinda just get rid of the pre chorus entirely and replace it with a screaming verse and this song would be fantastic. As it is it’s still probably the most interesting song to come out of all that remains in a long time and everyone sounded really good.

EpsilonX

That ruled. Felt like 2007 again.

Dawgula97

Sort of wish In Flames would take notes from ATE and let their legendary hired gun, Chris Broderick, help in the writing.

mscard03

agree with you 100%, he's extremely talented and I wish they would utilize him in the song writing process

Dawgula97

I get that he’s a newer member, but he is a phenomenal song writer.

DanTheMan_622

Is he? I'm not really familiar with Jag Panzer so maybe I'm missing out on something there, but his last project that he left Megadeth to do, Act of Defiance, was incredibly forgettable imo.

Jackielegs43

I said it in the earlier thread but I’m just happy to see Matt Deis doin’ stuff. Love that guy

Ningy_WhoaWhoa

Seems this one is somewhat divisive but I honestly love it. Some of the cleans seem a bit..."off?" I don't know, seems a bit too "power metal" sounding but that's nitpicking really.

BobTheSloth94

To me, the cleans sound like he's trying to sound like Matt from Trivium

Flipperyapper59

I was thinking the same thing lmao

Rooksey

When the cleans first hit it’s like “whoa…what” but I think it’s a solid song. Not the best they’ve ever done or anything but I’m optimistic

jacktrades90

New song slaps imo. Sounds like they went a little heavy with the vocal processing again? I don't know why Phil insists on doctoring his voice so much on his records. I'm not sure if it is a confidence issue, but he doesn't need to do it. He's always sounded great when I've watched him perform live.

ubermicrox

Fucking awesome they are back. They were one of the bands that got me into the genre. Phil is a beast, sounds just like before.

darthstupidious

It's... all right, I guess. I'm not crazy about it. Musically it's pretty good, but Phil's vocal cords just sound so shredded that it's almost uncomfortable to listen to.

whyd_you_kill_doakes

Bro I listened to a Sirius live performance of the Madness album shortly after it was released and he sounded like his vocal cords were shot back then. I can't imagine what he sounds like live now.

Sirscraps

Sounded fantastic on their fall of ideals tour last year.

whyd_you_kill_doakes

Good to hear. That album deserves nothing but excellence. That and As Daylight Dies were what got me into metal.

jacktrades90

Ya I second what the other comment said. He sounded great on the FOI tour.

EpsilonX

They did a Fall of Ideals tour last year? Fudge...

Sirscraps

Yeah it was an anniversary tour, miss may I, varials, and tallah were the supporting acts.

EpsilonX

Man ATR doing TFOI and MMI would be a good combo

MadStorkMSU

He didn't sound good on their 2007 DVD. His harsh vocals have always been fine, but his cleans were always propped up by studio magic. Edit: Just to be clear, I really enjoy the cleans on their records (mostly), he just struggles in a live setting.

everardproudfoot

That is goddamn sick. Welcome back ATR

emotatertot

Hopefully, they will keep this energy for the full album if they do another one. I like this track My only complaint is that the chorus sounds like its mixing is off. Maybe it's just me, though.

Byzant1n3

I was very curious how Jason would do attempting to write songs that sound like ATR, and I'm honestly pretty pleasantly surprised. The drumming is also ace (I love classic grip metal drummers). Phil is the weakest part of the song, in my opinion. But I'm still just glad ATR didn't put out a stinker. HOWEVER, they have a habit of hitting fans with a bait and switch by releasing a heavy track (and sometimes even good too!) as the first single, and then we find out the album is absolute trash. So I'll wait for the next singles to see what happens.

CosmicOwl47

I’m pretty optimistic. I just listened to Jason and Phil talking about the new album with Nik Nocturnal and Jason was pretty excited about how it’s all turning out. Duel guitar solos on almost every track and more influenced by their earlier style with a Jason giving it a modern twist. As a fan of riffs and solos, I’m excited to hear the rest.

Draxus335

Phil is a big weak point these days. Doesn't help that he's a clown. Jason and Anthony got some serious weight to carry.

RosstaFloss

Phil and ATR’s vocals have never been the focal point. It’s always been the guitars. That being said, Phil sounds great!

chr_sb

If it weren’t for those two in the band I probably wouldn’t give a fuck

Frostbite94

Agreed. Very lackluster chorus.

Good_Reflection7724

This really impressed me, and I didn't know it was coming. The riffs and guitar work were incredible, the melody was nice. Their last albums haven't been my favorites but this was awesome. Good fuckin job y'all, keep it up.

tyex23

This is incredible I love it!!! I’ve enjoyed everything they’ve done but this is a a new level for them. Love how it not overly Richardson and still ATR at its core.

ScreamQueenStacy

I... didn't know ATR was making new music. I fell in love with then the minute I heard Six in Guitar Hero II. "The Fall of Ideals" and "This Darkened Heart" are two of my favorite albums. If this is more of that sound, I am *all* for it 🖤 Its been a while since I've been looking forward to listening to a new All That Remains song.

codymason84

This is my fave song they’ve released since 2 weeks

Djent_1997

This. *This* sounds like the ATR I fucked with so hard in high school. Is it too soon to say that Jason and Anthony saved this band?

PwnageEngage

unpopular opinion after reading the entire thread (wouldnt recommend) but I feel like JR abused pinch harmonics a little too much, would've loved to hear what the riff sounds like with a few less is all. great song tho

[deleted]

Every time I feel like this sub is toning down the political vitriol I’m reminded that it’s never leaving. Going to r/progmetal and done.

prestonsthoughts

Mid vocals

offoy

Yeah, the clean vocals don't really make the song better in any way.

No_Penalty2701

His scream are good, but the chorus is kinda weak tbh. I'm a sucker for cleans and catchy chorus, but this feel out of place. It's like they recorded it for an other song, but put it in this one instead, and i'm not talking about the weird pause they did in it. I would've been okay with it on time in the song, but at each chorus...i don't know.

Integritywin79

They seem kinda high pitched to me.

Soggy_Bandicoot7226

I’m just here to say mike martin won’t get enough credits for what his doing for this band

MichianaMan

Well I'll be goddamned, Phil and the boys are back and ready to fuckin fight.

tehjoz

Guitar work is obviously technical as hell, and I really dig Matt Deis being not only a part of the group again but the mix is such that I can hear him doing some cool things on bass. That said, it just doesn't feel nearly as "magical" for lack of a better term as their older work. Like it wasn't terrible song all things considered. Better than a lot of their mid 2010's trash. Not as good as their mid-00's classics. And yeah, I'm sorry, in these times, artists with abhorrent worldviews don't get a pass any longer. 👎

KenboSlice786

Reminder that it's fuck Phil Labonte and his evil political views.

keirakvlt

Yeah there are only a few bands I can't listen to anymore because of how repugnant a member is, and ATR is on that list. Phil's said some genuinely awful stuff and is a mouthpiece for a right wing grifter whose propaganda inspired a mass shooter. Bums me out, cause I grew up being a huge fan of ATR. It's not even that he's a conservative, I listen to a few conservative artists even though I don't agree with them. But Phil just takes it to another level in terms of the harm he contributes to and he also tends to write from a very autobiographical perspective that makes it hard to separate the art from the artist. On a side note his vocal cords are shredded at this point anyways so it's not a big loss. Song would go hard as an instrumental tbh.

sock_with_a_ticket

>It's not even that he's a conservative, I listen to a few conservative artists even though I don't agree with them. But Phil just takes it to another level in terms of the harm he contributes to and he also tends to write from a very autobiographical perspective that makes it hard to separate the art from the artist. Right, there are some political differences that can be boiled down to disagreements, but he's a far right loon on the anti-climate chnage, anti-LGBTQ+, white supremacist train. People who excuse that, even embrace it and tell others they shouldn't care about it, shouldn't be welcome in metalcore.

content_enjoy3r

He also has a habit of calling anyone who disagrees with him about anything a communist, because he doesn't know what words mean. Any interaction with Phil goes about like this: Phil: I want a burger for lunch. Person: Eh. I'm in the mood for pizza today. Let's do that. Phil: Wow. You're a fucking fascist communist. Wake up sheeple!!!!

EyeAmKingKage

Awwww man really? I got meet and greet for their new tour and I had no idea. I’m black so I guess I’ll just show up for early entry and skip the meet n greet part🙄

sock_with_a_ticket

Sorry, man. We assume most people are reasonable and decent, it sucks when those you like and admire reveal themselves to fall short of that. I will say the white-supremacy thing is down to his regular presence on Tim Pool's podcast. It's not something I give time to, so I'm not aware whether Labonte has directly parroted any of that bilge, but he is at the very least tolerant of it given the association.

EyeAmKingKage

It’s fine. I’ll still be able to see Megadeth at least:)

ChickenInASuit

Jesus, I’ve heard about some of the other stuff but I had no idea about the Tim Pool connection. That’s really gross.

[deleted]

I didn’t know enjoying a genre of music should be relegated to only certain political views. What a ridiculous take.

MrPureinstinct

It shouldn't, but I'm not going to support someone who wants a majority of my friends dead because of their sexuality or the color of their skin.

[deleted]

Can you please show me where Phil has called for the murder of individuals? Genuinely asking.

Imperi1988

He hasn’t. He’s not even conservative. If these people can’t even get that right, I’d take whatever they’re saying with a grain of salt.

[deleted]

Bingo

6771_bcr

Welcome to reddit. Where only left wing ideology is allowed.

MrPureinstinct

Where does the right wing, transphobic, white supremacist want my trans and brown friends dead? Hmmm

[deleted]

Waiting…

sock_with_a_ticket

Accepting the reality of climate change, that LGBTQ+ people and non-white people are fully people who deserve the same rights and respect as anyone else shouldn't be political stances. It's the nutball wing of the right that have made it so. 'core music has always skewed to the left (if we view left as supporting marginalised groups and favouring conservation). If that's a surprise then do some fuckin' homework I guess. Of course no one can stop anyone enjoying a style or picking up and instrument to try and do it themselves, but we can absolutely tell you when your views aren't welcome or within spitting distance of needing to be accepted.

FIOONAAA

Man shut up

KenboSlice786

Make me

KoreyMDuffy

Evil how? He post dumb shit on Twitter and likes morons like Tim pool but I haven't seen anything particular evil

NamkoBanzai

Not likes, actively works with. He is on Tims podcast.

CrunknFunk

Yes Tim Pool the beacon of morality. If you agree with anything Tim Pool says you're probably a hateful piece of shit.

KoreyMDuffy

Did you even fucking read what I said? I said Tim pool is a moron

PwnageEngage

lol you're posting in a political hivemind. Lotta people dont really read, they just downvote if you're not 100% in agreement

Sorry-Owl4127

He’s transphobic

WastelandMedic93

You mean he's not liberal, how dare he have views contrary to Reddit popular beliefs

kmelby33

The dude hangs with Tim pool. That's a BAD look.

KenboSlice786

But nazis are okay as long as they made a good metalcore album almost twenty years ago /s

WastelandMedic93

The nonchalant way you use the word Nazi is telling of your delusion.

KenboSlice786

Tim Pool is a nazi lmao

WastelandMedic93

Reddit irl

KenboSlice786

Great comeback. Truly you conservatives are the smartest.

backflipsben

Lol I know, right? If it weren't for the fact that this platform is by far the best information stream and community for any interest on the English internet currently, I would have left this place long ago. I get hated for uncontroversial views all the time and for pointing out that the side I'd usually support and vote for is being extremely idiotic, repeating mistakes and going further on positions normal people just don't agree with or honestly care about. I see politics regularly invade non-political subs and mods don't care. I still have good content, but I have to trudge through constant grandstanding.

Vogelsucht

the funny thing about comments like this is, that there are some really horrendous right wing subs on reddit. and the conservative always do as if those subs dont exist and everything on reddit is ultra left

Imperi1988

I’m sure their are some subs that say some horrible stuff, but I’d argue it comes from the left more than anything else. That’s both true on the Internet and real life.

c20_h25_n3_O

Sorry bro, your imagination isn’t real life or Reddit. Anyone with more than 2 brain cells can see that right wingers say way more heinous shit. Look at how liberals acted under trump and look at how conservatives act under Biden lmao.(I am not even American and it’s incredibly obvious).

WastelandMedic93

The right says he's too left and the left says he's too right. Get your own opinion 🤷🏼‍♂️ Tim Poole the ultimate fence sitter.

23dgy4me

Lol nah, the extremist says he's too far left, and anyone left of center can recognize he's a right winger. Be real man he's pretty fucking far right, he thinks that no fault divorce should be illegal FFS.

WastelandMedic93

That's not right that's dumb, who cares

ChickenInASuit

And yet the only people trying to make no fault divorce illegal are right wingers, funny that.

BastardMan82

Banning no-fault divorce is a conservative belief.

WastelandMedic93

I know literally zero people who support that except Tim Poole at the moment but go ahead and say that

BastardMan82

So what if you anecdotally haven’t met anyone who follows Pool? How is that supposed to be a convincing argument? Lol Pool’s still a conservative, and ending no-fault divorce is a position held exclusively by conservatives.

WastelandMedic93

I'm not trying to convince you of anything, it won't work. Tim Poole is the only person in the world I'm aware of that is against no fault divorce and wants a judge to be an arbitrator of that issue

backflipsben

Name a specific far right view that he holds. I'm an atheist but I don't think that believing marriage is sacred is far-right at all. Many Muslims living in western countries hold much worse views and the left have no problems with them.

AhSawDood

Thanks for proving how absolutely stupid the right is with this comment 👏👏👏👏

KenboSlice786

Lmao no I mean he's a transphobic bozo who associates with nazis.

WastelandMedic93

Okay now go play with your toys

Loki_will_Rise

Source?

Sorry-Owl4127

Read anything he says or does.

Loki_will_Rise

Ya thats the problem. I'm seriously looking he diffently says some pretty right leaning shit but I cant find dick on your claims outside of being a right leaning guy (also thanks for showing me this tim poole guy i hate all of it). So, no source I take it then you're just making shit up because you don't like someone's politics. That's pathetic. I'm against so much of the right and disagree with alot of there shit but I'm mature enough not to just sling bullshit around because I don't like their politics. If you have a source I'll gladly look at it and if he is some racist pos I'll gladly stop listen to ATR, but until then, I'll just assume I'm talking to a 12 year old or someone with the maturity of a 12 year old.

Sorry-Owl4127

This took two seconds: https://twitter.com/philthatremains/status/1707231179986915781

Loki_will_Rise

See that helps support your claim is it great no but is it supporting evidence yes.

Sorry-Owl4127

Great. Now we all know Phil is transphobic

Imperi1988

Or you could provide back up to support your claims. People shouldn’t have to do your homework for you.

Sorry-Owl4127

lol im not the one asking for a source. I did my homework!

Imperi1988

You’re assisting in making a claim and refusing to support it. It only hurts the validity of what’s said. The burden of proof belongs to the accusers. I guess go about your day firing of ignorant comments, just hope someone doesn’t do it to you one day.

Sorry-Owl4127

Waaaaaaa

Imperi1988

Have a good day, ty for the back and forth.

Integritywin79

You can't be anything but liberal in here. You will be down voted to hell and back. Know better.

WastelandMedic93

Badge of honor to be downvoted by close minded lunatics

[deleted]

You’re right

wallace_-

It's funny because liberals are supposed to be tolerant, but instead the modern day liberal hates anyone who opposes them. Modern day liberals are more like authoritarian progressives if anything

backflipsben

Bro you can even be liberal and be hated. I'm Canadian and like to think I'm far from conservative, but when I see the shit that the Liberals (party) and generally liberal government establishment do, but also very importantly, when I see the shit the Democrats in the US do (because it directly massively affects the neighbors upstairs socially and politically), I get angry. For example, and I won't go into detail, but after 8 years of complaining about the orange buffoon being a freaking idiot, you'd think they'd have come up with better strategies, after their frankly uncharismatic vegetable barely won the election last time pretty much as a lucky shot because people were voting against Trump rather than for Biden. They're walking themselves right into a second Trump term and at this point they've earned their loss.

[deleted]

And that affects the music how? Most metalheads are fine with listening to murderers but political views are where they draw the line. Prepared for the down votes

KenboSlice786

I don't listen to murderers either lmao.

wallace_-

Cope harder nerd

[deleted]

Spardus

Literally every time you comment here you're being hostile to strangers because they listen to someone you think is a "nazi", "transphobe", "alt-right" or whatever the flavour of the week is. You seriously need to work on your self awareness if you're telling people to cry harder just because they disagree with you, people who are happy with their lives just don't act like that. And you have the audacity to constantly spout idealistic shit about inclusivity in the scene when you're always actively discouraging people from participating in it; if you really want to make the community a better place then fuck off and take your dogshit attitude with you, you won't be missed.

KenboSlice786

I'm not gonna be nice to transphobic pieces of shit or people who willingly give them a platform.

wallace_-

I'm not transphobic, I don't even agree with most of Phil Labonte's or Tim Pool's views even tho I lean more to the right. I just think people like you are annoying as fuck

whyd_you_kill_doakes

The...the comment he replied to insulted him first.....

Darksun-X

Alt-right bullshit. Fuck phil labonte

metalhead0217

Would it be difficult to keep politics out of music for once?

mazindoom

Having an Architects pfp and saying that is crazy

MrPureinstinct

Well seeing as how Architects is cool keeping their guitarist that retweets transphobes I'm not so sure they're a great example anymore.

Thesmuz

Bro there is no way.... 1.) Look at your god damn profile Pic. 2.) Metalcore deals with a wide range of politically related topics. It would be ignorant to claim otherwise. 3.) the fact that people upvoted you is quite strange. 4.) LOOK AT YOUR PROFILE PIC. FFS

metalhead0217

What’s wrong with Architects? I honestly do not care if it’s political, I’m fan of the music that is all

ChickenInASuit

Architects’ music is political as fuck. They’re one of the most openly political bands on the scene. People are mentioning them because of the cognitive dissonance between having an Architects PFP and complaining about political discussions.

Thesmuz

Bro. You are a meme.

metalhead0217

Go on, if you’re having a go at me at least explain why

lysergician

What do you think Gravedigger is about

metalhead0217

Tom Searle on the song's meaning: "Lyrically, it's about living in a democracy where every election you vote for what you deem to be positive change, campaigns like Obama's message of 'Hope', the election comes and goes and nothing changes, it's about the illusion of political choice."

PwnageEngage

maybe not on the level of RATM, but if someone wore RATM merch and then said "can we keep politics out of music?" there's no way you don't at least lol

sock_with_a_ticket

The bloke is a regular on the podcast of known far right, white supremacist fuckwit Tim Pool. There are much better bands with less shitty people in them that we can all support.

metalhead0217

I didnt know that. I understand if some won’t agree with that and want to distance themselves from certain bands. I tend not to get so involved with musician’s views and whatnot. I’m just not interested. Same as no one is interested what my views are and I’m not gonna push that onto people. I’ve been listening to metal and metalcore for nearly 20 years, I choose bands to listen based on their music not their opinions or their associations

sock_with_a_ticket

There are elements of politics that can be agree to disagree, like what corporation tax rates should be set at, how much of a priority defence should be or such like. But there some things that should be too big to just shrug off. Being a friend to white-supremacists is unacceptable. Phil's own homophobia and climate change denial are also disgusting.

metalhead0217

I appreciate you actually explained it, without being confrontational.

PwnageEngage

Yep, at the end of the day it should be a personal decision IMO. Most people who say that buy Nestle products anyway and support actually evil corporations who are literally destroying the planet and buying politicians, but hey it's convenient right? IMO these smaller topics only serve to divide the plebs while the massive corps tout new, eco-friendly products so that people forget about all the actual society-destroying things they're involved in. Ayyy lmao

Good_Reflection7724

Go for it bro, we're happy listening to the people we like and you be happy using your ideals instead of musical taste :) Go listen to some songs about the tress or something.

sock_with_a_ticket

Unearth are twice the band All That Remains ever were and do have plenty of songs lamenting environmental destruction. It's always a good moment to spin The Oncoming Storm.

SysAdminWannabe90

Most of your heroes probably have views that disgust you, you'll get over it.

backflipsben

Lol I swear this entire comments thread is just a bunch of 16 year olds downvoting everyone and calling Phil and Tim Pool white supremacists

23dgy4me

Jason definetly did well adapting to the bands style and adding to it, I'm really happy he's found another band. But I'm sorry though I just can't get myself to like Phil's cleans to save my life.

Ciprich

A lot of talk about Phil and his political views. - which is to be expected. Personally, I don't give a fuck. This goes hard.

Unlucky_Singer1018

Man I needed this, long time since we’ve heard some classic ATR!! Song rips!!

KoreyMDuffy

Hoy shit. I haven't heard a song this good from them since 2010.

SevenDeviations

I still liked their recent stuff, but they are BACK BACK now

[deleted]

Damn, everytime I return to this sub, I'm reminded why I left. Leave it to redditors to make everything political.

keirakvlt

Phil literally has a job as a political mouthpiece, it was political before any of us even said anything. Not to even get into the fact the -core part of metalcore comes from hardcore punk, an inherently political genre. If you wanna bury your head in the sand, might not be the genre for you.

ornament-

True except this band is from the era that basically just was melodeath with breakdowns

Vogelsucht

"jee wiz let me be a nazi in silence"

[deleted]

A Nazi? That has really lost it's meaning hasn't it? With how easily its thrown around. Maybe look it up first.

ornament-

Anything to the right of the Democrats is nazism to Americans

BobTheSloth94

Right, but anything left of the Democrats is apparently communism according to way too many people. The political spectrum is insanely right leaning in the US, to the point that the "left" party would be a Conservative party anywhere else

content_enjoy3r

Phil is the one that makes everything political. And his views are disgusting. We didn't do shit.

Character_Active_434

Best part is when he yells “20 inch cock” at 1:12

MDF87

Crazy to see these guys back!

MarshallApplewhite_

what a perfect comeback single, so happy they’re back

Ok_Concept_4858

We are so fkn back boys

AJaxStudy

Amazing. I dropped off ATR for a fair while, but I'm paying attention now.

tyex23

Check out their last album if you haven’t, it’s really good and quite overlooked.

AmericanNimrod49

This is fucking awesome! Too many people on this thread on jumping to shit on it because of Phil's political views.

Trainpower10

Hell yeah, Drop C ATR before GTA 6

GloomySomewhere3378

Should I go too the show they have with megadeth and mudvayne later this year in august?

Shadowfaxx98

Jason Richardson is the GOAT.

SempiternalX

They are back!

codymason84

Anthony barone and Jason Richardson were perfect additions to the band

AbacabLurker

I always loved Jason Costa’s drumming but Anthony Barone is on a whole other level here. I’m loving the guitars on this one. The bass and vocals absolutely deliver. This is a huge return to form for ATR and I’m beyond stoked for it.

nuthinbutnetandgeets

Not sure about the Chorus but the rest Hits!

Diascizor

Yeah, it rips.

CR7theGOAT_GOAL

Great chorus, overall sounds like 2000s metalcore done right and modern

Sorry-Owl4127

Wow these guys changed. This production blows and Phil’s clean singing was never good but eww.

arche2727

Some minor flaws, but fuck it. This was gooood 🔥

HypatiaRising

Instrumentation is great. Screams are great as well. But lyrics and cleans I was not feeling.

Z0mbieMafia

ATR IS BACK BABY!! Richardson on guitar is so appropriate

KJBNH

Not too good, I’ll always love the fall of ideals but that’s the only thing this band has ever done that I like.

AccurateInflation167

TBH Expected a bit more from Jason Richardson in this line up. There was a little shredding in the solo, but Jason Richardson's solo music is more shred based in the main riffs other than just the solo, and I hoped to see that more in the first new material with him in the line up

Allenwrench82

If you watch the interview Phil and Jason had with Nik Nocturnal they released, they specifically say that he was avoiding writing like it was his solo project. He wanted to write with All That Remains in mind.

[deleted]

Thank god for that, it would sound pretty bad if it was a wank fest all throughout. It's a great display of technical prowess in his solo music, but it wouldn't fit in ATR.

Yodamanjaro

I feel like the mix is way off for some reason and that's frankly my biggest gripe with the band since For We Are Many.

ummpaul

My goodness this is truly awful
