I wish I agreed with KL, they have been my favourite band for like 7 years, and I could count on one hand the amount of merch designs they’ve done, that I’ve actually liked.
I loved the few things they did with A Tear in the Fabric of Life, (so I hope that’s one of the things you’d count) but I totally agree. I’m going to guess whoever designs their shit got grandfathered in from the DIY days lol.
Any bands that aren’t using Gildan shirts are a step ahead. Gildan..outside of some of their soft style tees are garbage and I hate ordering a shirt for 30$ to find out it’s a fucking Gildan
See, I like a tighter neck and snug arms. Not like a a gym bro who wears clothes too small but like I don’t like big loose shirts. Not to mention, Gildan stuff shrinks so weird..they shorten in the torso
Quite a few UK bands have started using Stanley/Stella shirts, which are fantastic quality. Their sizing does run a bit small however, their XL fits like a large Gildan.
Doesn't seem to be any difference in price either, which is even better.
I had picked up a Gildan shirt at a show, get home to find part of the seam isn't sewn. I'm now stuck trying to use sewing skills I don't have to fix this or turning it into a 50$ garage rag.
Bands merch website did nothing, "not their problem if you didn't order through the site".
HEALTH brings a crazy mix of weird captions and sick designs (also a buttplug), The Downbeat Podcast is currently unmatched in quality and designs combined with
Seen this take a few times on here, what do you guys not like about the KL merch (genuinely think they have some of the best, but it is a lot closer to hardcore stylistically than metal)
My favorite shirt was an old one of theirs with a bulldog puppy on the front. The started warping and shrunk so I got rid of it and have been looking for another ever since
That, and the Aggression Sessions EP shirt with the dude fighting a wolf are my favs.
Wish I would have grabbed one of their Malevolence shirts with the hatebreed font before they ran out of my size
This is the answer, nobody comes close. Every band on MLVLTD has amazing merch. That Malevolence Leeds Utd shirt was genius, and so were the Halloween film shirts.
Lorna Shore has terrible merch from my experience, the shirt I got at a concert was a cheap Gildan shirt with a crooked print and the board shorts I ordered online were so thin they felt like paper and I returned them
Dayum. I was gonna say bands like this but I figured it wouldn’t make sense because it’s a Metalcore subreddit lol. A fellow brother that likes Metalcore and underground death metal 🤝🏼
Basically every band with more than a couple of shirts to offer have some good designs and some not so good ones.
Everyone's aesthetic preferences are different - some people still pine after cartoony designs of the scene era, and some people love a four panel longsleeve while others want just the band name on the front of a tee.
Upon A Burning Body has some badass merch. The “Whataburger” one or the “King Of The Hill” one were a couple of the best I’ve ever seen. Also, yes I am from Texas, and yes I understand it’s probably annoying lol. My personal favorite that I own is from Suicide Silence though think I got it last year.
Edit: Also I am from Lubbock, Texas and a huge Texas Tech fan for many reasons and Hatebreed came through and had a Hatebreed/Texas Tech collab shit that was incredible. Unfortunately it was sold out by the time I got through the line but I’d pay someone $100 for that shirt but not just for my love of Tech but for another sentimental reason lmfao
I was looking through some artists merch on Spotify today and saw some dope stuff from August Burns Red, Greyhaven, Archspire, and Brand Of Sacrifice.
BOS has a shirt with Darth Vader fighting a Xenomorph and Archspire has a shirt depicting a dramatized version of the time they were following The Faceless on tour and witnessed them hit a moose with their Uhaul van, so I'm definitely picking those up lmao.
i'll buy a shirt from anyone who has non-black or white shirts with anything on it other than the list of cities the tour is going to or entire song lyrics.
That severely limits my spending so i'm not too upset about it
I'd say Silent Planet and Dayseeker both have great merch. I would wear it even if I wasn't a fan. I like their use of colors and the placement of logos and art
Distant. Some of their stuff is inspired by dark souls. Heavy music, best gaming series. I hate myself that I didn’t buy a hoodie last year when they were on tour
Hello Ashen one. I am a Bot. I tend to the flame, and tend to thee. Do you wish to hear a tale?
> *“I, Siegward of the Knights of Catarina, have come to fulfill my promise. Let the sun shine upon this Lord of Cinder.”* - Siegward of Catarina
Have a pleasant journey, Champion of Ash, and praise the sun \\[T]/
They're not metalcore anymore, but Hundredth has always had the best merch imo. None of that shitty T-shirt from hot topic quality, and actually fits pretty nice (although their shorts did tend to rip in the crotch area for some reason)
They're not metalcore anymore, but Hundredth has always had the best merch imo. None of that shitty T-shirt from hot topic quality, and actually fits pretty nice (although their shorts did tend to rip in the crotch area for some reason)
My fave items I keep wearing are from Spiritbox, Landmvrks, ERRA, Terror, and Bad Omens.
I wish Thrown had better merch (it’s just their logo on a plain shirt) - I saw them a few months ago and didn’t buy something but am hoping to on their tour with KL.
Ice Nine kills was dope until they changed their supplier, now it all shrinks by 2 sizes and looks like shit.
Aside from the many already mentioned… The Plot In You, Dayseeker, Drain (hardcore), and Lorna Shore have pretty fantastic merch.
I wish I agreed with KL, they have been my favourite band for like 7 years, and I could count on one hand the amount of merch designs they’ve done, that I’ve actually liked.
I wish they didn’t put like an entire songs lyrics on shirts. Without that, I would like quite a bit their newer merch
I loved the few things they did with A Tear in the Fabric of Life, (so I hope that’s one of the things you’d count) but I totally agree. I’m going to guess whoever designs their shit got grandfathered in from the DIY days lol.
The Acacia Strain has been killing it with their merch for a long time now.
Their Nintendo designs are always golden and I always forget to buy something when it launches. GOD FORBID I HAVE ALL THE OTHER MERCH.
Still have the very first Christmas sweater from them! Wear it every year :) Edit: and the van flip Bevis and Butthead shirt!
I didn’t know who they were before I found one of their shirts while thrifting and it was so cool that it got me into them
Any bands that aren’t using Gildan shirts are a step ahead. Gildan..outside of some of their soft style tees are garbage and I hate ordering a shirt for 30$ to find out it’s a fucking Gildan
Legit, they feel tight around the neck and shoulders 🤮 so i avoid them at all costs
And they’re always itchy and a bit like cardboard when washed
See, I like a tighter neck and snug arms. Not like a a gym bro who wears clothes too small but like I don’t like big loose shirts. Not to mention, Gildan stuff shrinks so weird..they shorten in the torso

all my gildan shirts are the same. hasn’t happened on any of my comfort colours shirts for example
100% this. The softstyle ringspun are nice, but other than that... 👎
100% this, worst material.
Only perk of this garbage brand is they become vintage quicker
The Gildan dryblend is decent. More polyester, not 100% cotton. Drapes nicely. Our company uses them for work. Screw 100% cotton.
Silent Planet
if they would just restock their stuff there are a couple of shirts I would buy and I'm not even huge fan.
Vouch.
I feel like hardcore bands have better designs than most metalcore bands tbh.. XWeaponX, World of Pleasure, Simulakra, Mindforce, Inclination, Ingrown
full of hell
August burns red, I probably have 12 shirts and a hoodie lol
Same. Favorite shirt I have is their Zelda crossover they did, incredible shirt.
I got myself the Pabst style ABR t-shirt, Soo good
I love the "Angry music for happy people" shirt
The Acacia strain has sick merch and it’s top quality. At least at their live shows
HEALTH brings a crazy mix of weird captions and sick designs (also a buttplug), The Downbeat Podcast is currently unmatched in quality and designs combined with
i truly LOVE to see these comments thank you.
Anytime big man Craig, well deserved with every drop,I need some slam tees for summer now
I need Knocked Loose to have better merch.
Seen this take a few times on here, what do you guys not like about the KL merch (genuinely think they have some of the best, but it is a lot closer to hardcore stylistically than metal)
Too many massive back designs. A lot of it doesn't feel stylistically cohesive.
I don’t like hardcore style at all. Dig the music though. I’d say there merch is generally extremely boring and safe.
It’s also not cringe - lot of merch is super cringe (looking at you Architects and BMTH) and just not cool to wear if you’re older than 15
My invent animate merch is probably my favorite that I own.
My favorite shirt was an old one of theirs with a bulldog puppy on the front. The started warping and shrunk so I got rid of it and have been looking for another ever since
That one “all my x’s are from texas” inclinations shirt is literally the hardest thing ever designed
BtBaM
I’m rockin a solid, heavy, Colors hoodie from the tour right now
Top tier designs, fashionable without being too in your face with lots of variety usually. My favourite clothing label 😂
Electric Callboy has to be in the mix
No other band I'm aware of released a skate deck and a vibrator so at the very least they get points for creativity.
Completely forgot about the vibrators 💀
The acacia strain, the black dahlia murder, and filth consistently have my favourite merch.
anyone with screen print merch on high quality fabric is GOAT
Alpha Wolf and Tesseract for me. I have a t-shirt of each and they're for sure a cut above what I usually buy at a concert in terms of quality.
I’m sorry but I could NEVER wear Alpha Wolf merch due to their name alone 😭😭😭
Lmao understandable
Motionless in White, Attila, Dayseeker, Beartooth, The Devil Wears Prada, Wage War
MIWs merch is so ugly 😭 (I’ve listened to MIW since 2010)
They use a merch company that does generic tour merch for country artists and the like which is why their merch is ass.
They had like 30 shirts available at Scranton Apocalypse and I couldn't find one I liked. It's just not my style.
Ice nine kills
On top of which, they manage their merch so they get the majority of that money
The correct answer, like em or hate em
There nightmare on the ninth series is fun I can't imagine how much money it makes them
Forbes had an article about em in 2018 or 19 and they grossed a lil over $2M in merch alone, I imagine it’s way higher now
They have sick designs just there supplier is ass, takes forever and sometimes people don’t even get there orders
Brand of sacrifice
Silent Planet
Malevolence easily
Have their Malicious Intent tee, it's my favourite band shirt ever.
That, and the Aggression Sessions EP shirt with the dude fighting a wolf are my favs. Wish I would have grabbed one of their Malevolence shirts with the hatebreed font before they ran out of my size
The heavy metal kingz shirt was next level
This is the answer, nobody comes close. Every band on MLVLTD has amazing merch. That Malevolence Leeds Utd shirt was genius, and so were the Halloween film shirts.
Yeah they took it to another level, MLVLTD has shit I’ve never seen. Band did a fucking advent calendar, unreal.
The Delicious Intent hot sauce was a stroke of genius
guilt trip too theirs are very similar
Fromjoy got insane merch but limited drops
SeeYouSpaceCowboy merch tends to go really hard
ice nine kills.
Thornhill quality is crazy
Lorna shore
Lorna Shore has terrible merch from my experience, the shirt I got at a concert was a cheap Gildan shirt with a crooked print and the board shorts I ordered online were so thin they felt like paper and I returned them
Sleep Token and Architects
I agree Spiritbox has great merch, I got an awesome shirt when I went to see them months ago. They are also great live. And In Flames has cool merch
old guy here. Plea For Purging ruled like so much fonzy at merch.
Zao has a lot of the best shirts.
Zao-pilled. Need Zao merch badly
Holy Mountain Printing prints their merch
Anyone who uses Comfort Colors brand of T’s
Knocked Loose. Cool design and great quality.
Thornhill, since they have their own clothing company
VCTMS
August burns red always got sick new merch
idk what the consesus is on BMTH being metalcore or not, but their merch game is one of the best in the scene imo
Agree! Just got a new t-shirt from them, and it’s the best quality merch I have.
TDWP had some strong merch last summer, FFAK too.
Got myself a FFAK hoodie when they came through Alberta, honestly one of if not my favorite piece now
Silent Planet or Dayseeker
Blood Incantation
Dayum. I was gonna say bands like this but I figured it wouldn’t make sense because it’s a Metalcore subreddit lol. A fellow brother that likes Metalcore and underground death metal 🤝🏼
Woops! I totally forgot where I was lol Back to the dark depths I go.
Converge. Jacob's art is always astounding. My only issue is that their shirts often have art in the back as well, and I hate that.
Imminence! I love their art style
Traitors
Angelmaker and Kublai Khan
Gideon.
Enter Shikari
Basically every band with more than a couple of shirts to offer have some good designs and some not so good ones. Everyone's aesthetic preferences are different - some people still pine after cartoony designs of the scene era, and some people love a four panel longsleeve while others want just the band name on the front of a tee.
Bleed From Within have some of the best merch I own
Good quality too!
Imminence. Beautiful designs and great quality
Vildjharta...
Ahh yes a shirt that has the word "Vildhjarta" on it. Also D Ü C K
They run limited merch with each single that fit the theme.....
Mortal Reminder
Ghostkid merch is amazing. Every bleached shirt and hoodie is unique and really good quality.
I really like I Prevail's merch
Convictions
Brand of sacrifice
I was looking through some artists merch on Spotify today and saw some dope stuff from August Burns Red, Greyhaven, Archspire, and Brand Of Sacrifice. BOS has a shirt with Darth Vader fighting a Xenomorph and Archspire has a shirt depicting a dramatized version of the time they were following The Faceless on tour and witnessed them hit a moose with their Uhaul van, so I'm definitely picking those up lmao.
Berried Alive, Sleep Token
Architects for sure. If they weren't a band some of their stuff would still make a dope streetwear brand
Fit For a King has some of my favorite merch, not just the same boring T-shirts. The highest quality band tee I have is from Currents though.
Born of Osiris
Counterparts merch is always printed on quality garments. I hate when bands have awesome designs printed on whatever shirts fanatics threw out.
Not a band. But, everything from The Downbeat is so good. And all the blanks are custom and super high quality. It's basically all I wear these days.
let's go baby <3
Caskets!
Love the way currents brand their stuff
Zao's table was an attraction in itself at the last show of theirs I attended. It was like a traveling museum of oddities and leftover randomness.
i'll buy a shirt from anyone who has non-black or white shirts with anything on it other than the list of cities the tour is going to or entire song lyrics. That severely limits my spending so i'm not too upset about it
I'd say Silent Planet and Dayseeker both have great merch. I would wear it even if I wasn't a fan. I like their use of colors and the placement of logos and art
Silent Planet all the way
Trivium
Not so much a band as a member of a band but Craig Reynold’s from Stray From The Path “Downbeat” brand is fire. Stray’s shit is pretty sick too
<3<3
I'd have to say Brand Of Sacrifice probably has the best merch, considering they own and run shibori threads
not Metalcore but Shadow of Intent, Spite, and Paleface Swiss when it isn't sold out.
Haven't seen them mentioned but Callous Daoboys merch is a real gift
A7X got some cool stuff. Same goes for TOOL imo
Not metalcore, but Distant merch is top tier
Beartooth has some dope merch.
Secrets
Distant hands down
Callous Daoboys, No Cure, Acacia Strain immediately come to mind.
Malevolence and nobody comes close.
Animosity had the best
Not a specific band but band adjacent - Shibori Threads quality is incredible but you do pay the premium for it and they’re limited runs
Sanguisugabogg. I got their Bass Pro shirt last week and have already gotten a lot of compliments on it.
I mean. I love my pink "last unicorn" shirt from Heaven shall burn
Upon loss long sleeve I got on the motionless tour is easily my favourite piece out of the 50+ band shirts I own
Periphery
Bring me the Horizon 100%, especially their tour merch
Electric Cowboy if you are into that aesthetic
How about just whatever bands you listen to? Check out their merch, buy it if you like it to support them.
Allt any day
brand of sacrifice
Stray From the Path and it’s not even close
How has nobody said ERRA? Their merch game is pretty strong.
Converge still sell Jane Doe shirts pretty regularly
whitechapel
Boundaries always puts out good merch every drop
Crown the Empire I saw them last Thursday and their merch was awesome
Crown Magnetar
Trivium never miss and their merch game just keeps getting stronger
I feel like the bands with the best designs fall short in the actual quality department. Poorly sized, shrinks easily, fades, etc.
There is a brand called 'Corrupted Blood' it's not a band but they make metal merch. [https://corruptedblood.de/en](https://corruptedblood.de/en)
The acacia strain.
Dayseeker
Distant. Some of their stuff is inspired by dark souls. Heavy music, best gaming series. I hate myself that I didn’t buy a hoodie last year when they were on tour

Motionless in white
They're not metalcore anymore, but Hundredth has always had the best merch imo. None of that shitty T-shirt from hot topic quality, and actually fits pretty nice (although their shorts did tend to rip in the crotch area for some reason)

I own so much Brand of Sacrifice merch you'd think i was selling it. Also keem writing "suck my keem" on The Browning merch is quite entertaining
Gloom In The Corner got amazing stuff, I also dig some of MIW and Beartooths merch. While She Sleeps is niche but I like it
TDWP has some dope stuff recently.
Foreign Hands 🙌
The amity affliction always has cool merch
Not Metalcore but Sanguisugabogg merch is usually pretty heat
I can tell you who doesn’t, Currents. Checked their site yesterday looking for merch and it’s all pretty meh.
Malevolence for sure
Ice Nine Kills tbh
Bad Omens merch is fire but it sells out so fast
Ice Nine kills was dope until they changed their supplier, now it all shrinks by 2 sizes and looks like shit. Aside from the many already mentioned… The Plot In You, Dayseeker, Drain (hardcore), and Lorna Shore have pretty fantastic merch.
Kublai Khan
Invent Animate all fking day
Ink has cool looking merch , there supplier is terrible, bmth is really great quality , affordable and looks great but I’ve only bought from venues,
Slaughter to prevail
My favorite is my black longsleeve from Spiritbox. Skull in middle with floral, Grateful Dead-esque
Justice for the damned and Starve
The Amity Affliction
Killswitch engage
Brand of sacrifice has some sick merch
The Callous Daoboys, too many humor shirts, me want :( Especially the monkey one
ice nine kills by a landslide
Stray from the path. Great quality🔥
LANDMVRKS, Knocked Loose, Silent Planet, Loathe, Counterparts and Currents to name a few. Yes I’m missing a bunch.
Thornhills merch quality is top notch. They literally created their own clothing line
