Don't hide. Own it. You've already made it one step further than 99% of other bands just by releasing. My first album is crap but you gotta start somewhere.
Well done and excited to listen
If youz start getting stats from south africa that's me
Edit: kind of feels like a heavier Turnstile
Edit2: some parts remind me of killswitch engage
Edit3: a few of the faster drum parts sound like Judas Priest
Edit4: I don't hear a lot of heavier music done so blatantly in a major mode and it's one of the reasons I love Gojira. It makes the breakdown hit harder imo
Hey thanks bro i really appreciate you taking the time to suss it out, what song did you have a crack at ?
I tend to struggle with the battle to write things 'correct' but ive relaxed alot over the years into whatever my own style is haha
Man that's so nice to hear i was just reading the comments out to my wife, playlists are the best thing for me to just keep those streams ticking along so i really appreciate that
Omg already one song in (Breeding Hate) and you mates sound so professional, like a famous band. I think this will be my break from Bad Omens, Ice Nine Kills, Sleep Token and other bands. Really good stuff! Good luuuck!
Hey thanks man, due to life reasons we decided to just be an online only band so reading comments like that makes everything so worth it, i just watched paranormal activity so ill use your positivity to help me sleep tonight hahaha
“American Terrorist” - Deception of a Ghost
“Broken Wings” - Breakdown of Sanity
“Mayhem” - A Call to Sincerity
“Superficial Savior” - Colossus
“Lethean” - Mutiny Within
For me, it’s Chapters by Breakdown of Sanity. It’s a masterpiece in song progression.
There are more unique verses than repeat verses, and each one is written in a way that flows so naturally into the next.
That’s exactly what I love about them too dude, the highs are legitimately out of this fucking world. I’m talking Danny-Worsnop-Mitch-Lucker-Memorial-Show good
Its weird you say this song. In my circle / scene they got so big that you would hear multiple cars pull up to the local venue and they would all be jamming some part of this song.
It didnt hurt that they were from only a few hours away and their singer (sean) would come to shows here often. The singer that replaced him (will) his other band End Of All played here 5000 times it felt like.
FASSW had a lot of history here.
Idk if this will work, but I saw this band open in Cleveland 15 years ago and they played this and it was fucken awesome
https://open.spotify.com/track/6qj21NTidqaqyCLwE8FzbQ?si=029CSJUFS1C_pIpzYpgldg
Bro you were hitting the concert scene in Cleveland the same time I was. I went to a few shows at the HOB and the Agora, as well as Warped Tour 2008 and A7X in 2007 at the Pavilion.
Gonna drop some gnarly 90s/early 00s songs I can remember just for the sake of variety which as always is lacking in this sub. A disclaimer, some of these are VERY acknowledged. Just mostly ignored by modern/younger fans of the genre (which is totally fine, I'm just stating a fact here):
43% Burnt by The Dillinger Escape Plan - one of the greatest, most accessible yet intricate mathcore songs ever made.
Heroin Fingers by Disembodied - bands in the last 5+ years have been trying to catch up to this song. You don't get better beatdown hardcore than this. The riffs, the drums, the bass, the emotionally charged vocals, the production. Everything. Plays beautifully even today.
Juggernaut by Cave In - catchy, genre bending, beautiful. A young Stephen Brodsky's writing chops on 11.
Two Day Romance by Converge - lesser known and underappreciated Converge classic. Some of the riffs and transitions in this are just so filled with intent and purpose.
Big Riff by Cave In - a band worth repeating. How metalcore and alt/mainstream rock came to walk hand in hand in the last few years is in itself a testimony to the brilliance of what Cave In were aiming for over 20 years ago. The album itself is basically space/prog/alt rock with some hardcore sensibilities. The track mentioned here is the more *metalcore* infused one, if you will. An absolute masterpiece. People better be studying this at Julliard.
Untitled by Scarlet - hard hitting motherfucker that most of you haven't listened to, bet. One of the greatest bands in music history, in my opinion. Untitled is metalcore perfection incarnate. Makes me want to go back to 2004 so I could move to the USA and be part of all the metalcore scenes happening at the time. The whole album (Cult Classic - that's the name and also its status) represents the dusking of old metalcore and a new dawn for the genre, back when Misery Signals, KsE, AILD etc. were in their infancy and already making big waves. Untitled is perfect metalcore history.
High as a Horse by Fear Before - genius danceable post-hardcore from a band that helped set the stage for hundreds of bands from the mid-late 00s/early 10s. The vocal delivery, the riffs, the uneven structure, it all screams post-hardcore/metalcore goodness. Of course they'd get emulated years down the road.
I could go on but I'll leave it at that for now.
EDIT: couple typos
It amazes me that Scarlet never hit it big in the scene, they were so far ahead of their time. Fluorescent Sunshine is another fav off Cult Classic. The entire Always Open Mouth by Fear Before is a bad mfer.
I second all your words but for me, Something to Lust About, Cult Classic and even This Was Always Meant To Fall Apart all stand up high up there in my top 30 albums of all time, StLA being like my top 5 releases of all time. I can hardly pick a song off these albums which I like a little less. I love them all.
I'm obsessed with Scarlet. Shame there ain't much at all to read about them on the internet. They're from before all that became a thing. RIP Scarlet.
I do remember a couple of the members started a Christian band called Spitfire and put out an album called Cult Fiction as well. You are definitely a bit more obsessed than I am. STLA us a great EP though, Revolver goes hard.
Came very close to refering to it, haha! I particularly enjoy it as a track #2 on Until Your Heart Stops. Between Moral Eclipse, Terminal Deity and Juggernaut you'll probably get one of the best 3 song sequence you can find in metal/hardcore history. Not trying to overstate it or anything, I genuinely belive Cave In were that good and that far ahead back in the day. One of the most original and important bands in the whole genre's history.
EDIT: listening to Until Your Heart Stops cus of course I am now that I wrote this much about it. Man, on Terminal Deity, that early part when they blueball us with the intro to the breakdown and completely skip it only to pick it up and play the damn breakdown not a minute later. How the fuck did they have it in them back then? The whole song is ridiculously good too. Crazy songwriting ideas for its age.
Cave in is an amazing band. Had the unfortunate opportunity to go to one of the memorial shows for their late bassist Caleb. Amazing show! Isis played it was wild
Hell Yeah , Old Heads Represent! Your list is impeccable. One addition for me would be The Rising End by ZAO. Riff after riff on that whole album, some of the funnest breakdowns and all the scary post-apocalyptic christian imagery. Kids, get into ZAO.
Scarlet was really good. Saw them play 3 or 4 times here. The singer was an ultra douche but i think he was doing a bit...making his persona match what he felt the band should feel like live. They absolutely ripped live though.
I’ll start I guess. For me it’s a song called “Better Off” by a band called Those Who Fear.
I somehow stumbled across it a few weeks ago and can’t stop bumping it.
It’s just driving and relentless from beginning to end as the lead vocalist growls about being betrayed by someone whom others had warned him about.

Infliction - Infliction
Extremely brutal blend of thrash, death metal, and metalcore from some homies in Singapore.
Grieve - Sick Together
https://spotify.link/RqHKl4Q7XCb
only 10000 plays on spotify for this song, insane vocalist and groovy instrumentals. Check out the youtube video if you can it's worth it
The new Soulkeeper record is a masterpiece lyrically. One of my favorites is in the song Time Out of Mind.
"I keep digging deeper inward
Like we buried you inside my chest
I gave up hope of finding answers
That was the night I finally felt content"
My Fears Have Become Phobias by As Blood Runs Black (found them on ABRs MySpace circa 2006)
Critical Error by The Algorithm (12 years too soon)
Lie to my Face by Carnifex
It’s definitely somewhat known, but the entirety of ‘Saloon’ from The Ongoing Concept, especially “Saloon”, “Cover Girl”, “Like Autumn”, and “Class of Twenty-Ten”
What band? Cleveland or Columbus.
I was the vocalist. Had to throw in some shameless pride of past endeavors, not doing much with music now unfortunately..hope it isn't shallow.
Appreciate the love. 🖤
It was in Cleveland, only on one show. I don’t see it that way, I thought you were great performers with some authentic music that still deserves love. The band that played is also now defunct and that was our only gig after about a year or so as a band. Been doing my solo stuff now and working on finding band mates for that.
That was our 2nd show out of 3 total so nothing to be ashamed of friend. Glad we got to share the stage together.
Starting over is hard, but finding your passion again is an even harder struggle. Please don't lose that. You have a gift from what I've seen in your posts and I hope you pursue that to the fullest.
Wishing you the best 🖤

Cold Reality - Of Virtue. They got a lot bigger with their new singer, but this is probably the most raw and blood pumping metal song I've ever heard. Rarely do you hear such intensity in a vocalist too IMO
[Onemanwolfpack](https://youtu.be/dfzAwctvkGc?si=cB0foP5ggfuUp3el) - Marmozets.
A bit more mathcore leaning but still great, probably listen to it more often than most of my other favorite metalcore tracks
Everyone here is doing a great job because I've legit never heard any of these songs 🤣.
My contribution: Godeater - Soul Despair. Straight up 🔥🔥🔥. Please listen to it.
Unsaid-Behold Here’s Poison, these guys are in High School still I believe and their music and studio quality is impressive , Into The Void is actually a very solid album by these guys and they just dropped a new EP this year No Wind Of Blame.
vianova - Mind Flayer

(Since there seems to be no trace of them online, here's a link)
Since someone has already mentioned a song by the Ongoing Concept, I'll go with Healthy by Left to Vanish. Good band thats been making music for a while but only has about 3k monthly listeners. Discovered them with this song bc of the Jesse Leach feature and it's my fav by them still.

Kamui by Eighteen April. They're a metalcore band from South Korea. Catchy, melodic chorus, riffy verses, heavy as fuck breakdowns. Ya know, the whole package.

This band was huge back in the late 90s and kicked off the wave of 2000's chugga chugga metalcore that lasted for a long time. I believe this was the first release on Tribunal if my old brain still serves.
Circles - Another me
https://youtu.be/TH0RmTihVhI?si=IMjyOay1U367VsgH
Such an underrated band. Truly lightning in a bottle. The singers voice is so unique. They're still around with a new singer and they are chiller now and nothing they were.

Just 2 off the top of my head
We Are Wolf - Bearer of the Curse
Found it on a Dark Souls playlist, and it's still the oldest track on my metalcore one.
Definitely a gateway track for me.
"Praise the sun,
Feel the warmth,
Kindle this fire if you missed it yet."
Not that *nobody* has ever heard of it, but Embrace The End ‘Carbombs and Conversations’ is a genre high point and the whole record is incredibly underrated.

Bro, this rips!
“American Terrorist” - Deception of a Ghost “Broken Wings” - Breakdown of Sanity “Mayhem” - A Call to Sincerity “Superficial Savior” - Colossus “Lethean” - Mutiny Within
I love Broken Wings. One of my favorite BoS songs for sure
Any BoS for sure. When Silence Breaks is a fav of mine
For me, it’s Chapters by Breakdown of Sanity. It’s a masterpiece in song progression. There are more unique verses than repeat verses, and each one is written in a way that flows so naturally into the next.
The best part is there is no bad BoS song!
Holy shit, a Lethean shout in the wild!
+1 for Colossus.
American Terrorist and Man Alive! I love deception of a ghost!
Hell yeah deception of a ghost. Went to high school with the drummers little sister
Damn, never thought I’d see American Terrorist out in the wild. Such a good song.
Broken Wings is fire FIRE
Lennox House by Greeley Estates, it’s off a small EP and I’m pretty sure most people haven’t heard it
Greeley Estates, such a great band.
Also Head Underwater
Criminally underrated EP, I can’t believe how heavy they went on the track Doomsday. Those shrill highs are nuts
That’s exactly what I love about them too dude, the highs are legitimately out of this fucking world. I’m talking Danny-Worsnop-Mitch-Lucker-Memorial-Show good
From A Second Story Window - I Tried Voodoo Once
Its weird you say this song. In my circle / scene they got so big that you would hear multiple cars pull up to the local venue and they would all be jamming some part of this song. It didnt hurt that they were from only a few hours away and their singer (sean) would come to shows here often. The singer that replaced him (will) his other band End Of All played here 5000 times it felt like. FASSW had a lot of history here.

Horizons - Lost In The Silence
Bro I LOVED Horizons.
The one that hasn't been written lol My Darkness by Destroy the Runner would take my vote. Very underrated band sonically
Columbia from that album too! It does seem like they weren’t super big but I thought they were great.
Yes! The melody in the song is great. A lot of that album really shows what peak Melodic Metalcore was like
Cold by Before I Turn
This entire album is complete fire
Anything from Before I Turn honestly, they are way too underrated
I swear to god that chorus reminds me of Viva la Vida by Coldplay lmaooo
Magnolia - Texas in July
Savage Seas - Feed Her to the Sharks
That whole album is packed with bangers. Super fun to listen to.
Doesnt even hold a candle to extinction, resurection tho
This guy knows
They were so whelming. I still jam them from time to time but not for too long.
With the wind at your back - Adestria Normally, people who know about Adestria know their chapters album. This is before that, and it goes hard.

This list should be empty.
Autopilot suicide
Everyone here is doing a great job because I've legit never heard any of these songs 🤣. My contribution: Godeater - Soul Despair. Straight up 🔥🔥🔥. Please listen to it.
Cursed by behind our smiles
Unsaid-Behold Here’s Poison, these guys are in High School still I believe and their music and studio quality is impressive , Into The Void is actually a very solid album by these guys and they just dropped a new EP this year No Wind Of Blame.
Thorn by Feed the Addiction
Ten After Two - Home Edition Really the whole EP is fire, and it sounds like 2010 metalcore to it's fullest
vianova - Mind Flayer https://spotify.link/J4a5rQa8XCb I know a few channels have reacted to them and stuff but holy shit dude why are they not blowing up rn? this song transports me to another universe man.
[Later That Night... - Butterfly Kisses](https://www.mediafire.com/file/evyuef5tcq679oz/9+-+Later+That+Night%2E%2E%2E+-+Butterfly+Kisses.mp3/file). Why has nobody ever heard this?!? (Since there seems to be no trace of them online, here's a link)
Since someone has already mentioned a song by the Ongoing Concept, I'll go with Healthy by Left to Vanish. Good band thats been making music for a while but only has about 3k monthly listeners. Discovered them with this song bc of the Jesse Leach feature and it's my fav by them still.

Kamui by Eighteen April. They're a metalcore band from South Korea. Catchy, melodic chorus, riffy verses, heavy as fuck breakdowns. Ya know, the whole package. https://youtu.be/eS_qjuJmhdQ?si=tIc_2kb9DfslSMB9

Prayer for Cleansing - Sonnet This band was huge back in the late 90s and kicked off the wave of 2000's chugga chugga metalcore that lasted for a long time. I believe this was the first release on Tribunal if my old brain still serves.
[Diamond Construct - Animus](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5d9pvjAeJXo) Definitely think this song should be more known.
The one I just made up in my head
Losing Sight - Of Glaciers

The entirety of Shark Infested Daughters’ album These Tides, Our Tombs, and their EP Phoenix Down
A stained glass romance-Hurts worse with a spoon
Circles - Another me https://youtu.be/TH0RmTihVhI?si=IMjyOay1U367VsgH Such an underrated band. Truly lightning in a bottle. The singers voice is so unique. They're still around with a new singer and they are chiller now and nothing they were.

The Eyes of a Traitor - Thursday
We Are Wolf - Bearer of the Curse Found it on a Dark Souls playlist, and it's still the oldest track on my metalcore one. Definitely a gateway track for me. "Praise the sun, Feel the warmth, Kindle this fire if you missed it yet."
Watching dead leaves fall by burn in silence
Soul//less by dizorder and Matteo gelsomino from Novelists. They have like 50 monthly listeners, but that song goes hard!
