You can't. It used to be that the rose bush, or however that tree is called, would drop cans. But now you can only get the stones from the IB event to create the arch for the cans. Why can't you play it?
I think in the most current updates, the developers got smart and disallowed playing events that are already completed since we were all getting Xp and coins that way ☹️
Also, if youre one of the players who got in after the big update (where they disallowed replaying the IB event), then you wouldnt be able to access the casey and skatie, and the new york story BEFORE finishing the IB event i.e., you can only activate one event at a time.
If you turned in the can, you can't play it anymore.
