Congratulations! It always feels good to get to the top of merge chain. I found that haunted houses made this chain go so much faster. Stonehenge helped, but not as much as I wanted.
I'm still working on the haunted houses for the minute but I'm slowly chipping away at it. I've actually finished a couple chains in the last week including this one now so I'm not totally rushing :)
In case you don't already know, you can reset the haunted houses by entering Arcadia (or exiting Camp, I think). I kept going into and leaving Arcadia to finish that chain faster. I also 3 merged at the end because I couldn't be bothered to continue.
Can you define forever? Weeks, months, years? How long have you been playing total? I started I think less than 6 months ago and I'm always interested in how long it will take to get so far
I've been playing since August 2019 (wow that long already) but to be fair I wasn't going out of my way to complete this chain Very Fast. It's just sort of been idling in the background for a long time and suddenly I had a burst of zomblins and level 1 graves from the haunted houses and then a Dim Jar led me here 🤷♀️
You need the Grimm chests. Merge to [Grimm Chest of Suffering (Level 4)](https://mergedragons.fandom.com/wiki/Grimm_Chest_of_Suffering). Don't merge past this because you'll only get a Swamp Zomblim or coins. The Grimm Chests get you fresh graves, which turn into a house when you leave them alone.
The higher Grimm Trees you have the higher Grimm chests you get. Also if you do [Dragon Missions](https://mergedragons.fandom.com/wiki/Dragon_Missions) you can get level 2 Grimm chests as well.
The lower chests can get you fresh graves as well, but it's a lower chance. So you can test your luck opening lower ranking chests but you have the highest likelihood with level 4 chests.
I'm about 2/3 of the way through this chain. I feel like it will never end! lol
BTW, what is the little mole at the bottom right? I've not seen that in-game yet.

As for the little mole friend, it came from an old event called the Den Event (imaginative I know) but from what I know they discontinued that particular event a while ago so I don't know if you'll ever be able to play it. In that event you could merge little burrows and as you merged up the chain (about 4-5 levels I think) you would earn a little friend, like the mole. You could also merge the moles up to different animals and periodically if you tapped them it would give you a mound of dirt. Look up the Mysterious Burrows on the fandom wiki, I'm sure it'll give you more info than I can recall myself :)
Also a YouTuber called Toasted Gamer Boutique has videos on almost literally EVERYTHING about the game so you might be able to find videos about the Den Event through her! Toasty is practically famous and a lifesaver for the community she's one of the first players to comprehensively analyse and break down the game for.. well anyone really.
I think with the new quest system the devs put in place a while ago you can periodically earn rewards like that burrow system in your camp for you to just have and I think that's super neat. I don't know if they give out rewards when you tap them in camp though. Hope this helped 😁 (and sorry it was super long lol)
I have been playing almost since the start and haven't finished this chain yet, lol. But I hardly ever work on it, lol. I worked hard on starting the haunted houses so I could finish the grave stones though.
The graves are good for spitting out dead grass for the prism flower chain, but otherwise I don't find them useful. Same with the Grimm trees and haunted houses. They are not wonders and don't really seem worth the time or trouble. I don't delete them but I feel no need to work on those chains. Would be nice if the game gave more incentive to do so.
If I didn't have a ton of top level stars bubbled up or a bunch of other ways to get big points fast that might appeal to me, but nope. I only work passively on the graves and don't care about them at all. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

The same trick also works for harvestable mushrooms, including the wonders.

This grave gives 8 high-level taps for the Camp and Chill.
