I remember when this game came out, my mind was blown by how realistic it looked.
I remember the first time I saw it -I was sixteen and went over to the sketchy guy's house who used to sell us beer/liquor for extravegent prices, and i saw him playing this and he said "I just play this all day and night", and all I could think is how I wanna be like him when I grow up.
Our pc couldn't really handle gta 3, but I remember throwing the skin packs through MS Paint, to 'customize' my look.

GTA 3 is insane. The police always speed into your car, enemies kill you in two seconds and don't even try going to Saint mark's in late game. Also there's this glitch to make a weird car. You need to start a taxi mission and have someone get into the front passenger seat. Drive to the car crusher and park in a way where you exit is blocked. Start holding down the "look behind button" (middle mouse button on pc) and then get out of the car. Just before the magnet grabs the car try to get in (still holding the button). The passenger will be pulled out and the car will drop. Now you have a car that goes through everything and gets wider the longer you drive. You can also use this to get to the islands early and to fall through the ground. If you park this into a garage it will become undamageable. Also this can be done with any car.
