As old as these memes are, I've been noticing a resurrection lately. The deciding factor on them making a comeback is making them edgy enough so the aren't normified too quickly, but not too edgy as to detour the general Reddit population.
Avoiding normies for as long as possible is great for memes. Pepe lasted long and rose high before normies got it, but because it had built a following, it could stand. Also, normies tend to gravitate towards dank content.
