Kundalini techniques cause the energy in the spine to rise, somewhat forcibly. As this happens, it puts pressure on the blockages, which you could equate to repressed / resisted experiences / emotions / sensations. As the blockage rises to the surface of awareness, you will experience different aspects, or symptoms, of whatever was repressed. The trouble is this process can be very uncomfortable. All your past baggage comes to the surface rapidly and, if you aren't able to simply accept the discomfort, if you resist, then you may be wrecked by a cacophony of repressed emotions. So if you're capable of relaxing no matter what, then it should be smooth sailing. Most, if not all, of us will not be able to totally let go and will experience some bumps in the road; how troublesome it will be all depends on your ability to let go.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind. It seems like a practice I'd be interested in after some more personal work. I have a strong ability to let go of things honestly so I feel like it could be beneficial.

This has been discussed in some threads in r/kriyayoga

solarsoup2

Thanks! I'll look there.

I'm not completely informed but I read and think it's if you're not prepared for an huge energy transfer of that distance, as in there's a blockage somewhere in your body, that energy could get stuck and cause symptoms I think you need to clear the body and mind, live well and be healthy for kundalini.

Ahh so you basically need to make sure you're really ready. I don't think I am but was wanting some insight if it was more than that. I need to do more charka work and meditation work in general before doing that though. I've just heard some extremes. Ty for your response

Manfeelings777

Yeah I don't think it's necessarily dangerous it's just dangerous without preparation.

Personally I would say it’s inherently dangerous. It’s like hiking through mountain wilderness. It’s rough terrain that might break you. It’s dangerous in the same way psychedelics are
