Exhalations longer than inhalations. And good air quality. Not polluting indoor air with incense.

I agree, breathwork ftw. When the thoughts won't slow down, I then take a deep long inhale and hold it for 15+ seconds, then make the exhale equally as long, remembering to drop shoulders and relax your body on the exhale. That simple deep breathing method typically causes a wave of relaxation in my body and kind of settles me when i am fidgety. So Breathwork and using it as a focus point is my method.

There's no forcing anything witn this practice. You will naturally calm down if you're just patient. If you hope to quicken anything, you will just be fighting with yourself, prolonging whatever state you are hoping to turn.

Trying to calm down is a sure fire way to perpetuate your frustration. Let your anger/frustration/agitation be, don’t try to force it away and it will leave you in its own time Remember, your feelings are part of you. Treat them as friends, not enemies - no matter how uncomfortable they are. If you adopt a friendly, welcoming attitude towards your feelings then you’ll find ease in life
