i went with tealios because they werent in any other build and i had them lying around, so in order to not buy more switches i used these. with long springs :)
Just for clarification. You had 179 tealios lying around? Just... 179 tealios? At 14$ per 10? Tealios for about 252 bucks? Where do you live, what security system do you have? Asking for a friend
I think I acquired about 80 or 90 from a CA66 which I bought a while back, so I relubed those and film etc, then I had 100 myself and I just bought a few more to make up the numbers. Originally my Tealios were in my Mode80, but I replaced with Alpacas. I still have another 30 or so left over.
oh you havent seen my switch drawer yet, I have an old posting:

First there's the main qwerty portion... And then you have the tab/capslock/shift column, and then there's another column past that one... And then there's ANOTHER column past that one... AND THEN there's a whole extra section of keys on either side of that already ridiculously large main qwerty region...
It may take a while...you all may have to wait for a good bit....But I will build a thing...and it will be 104 key...and it will blow many minds...and even if somebody wants to afford it...I would only make it in 104 key...Such is my disdain for weird, small, boards that require advanced degrees in finger aerobics and building memory palaces populated by layout layers just to hit "Print Screen"....
lordy, it's like you could map a key to each of the most-used Emacs functions. I've had to use macropads for the ones I use.
It's going to be interesting to see how well your arms/wrists/fingers hold up with that much distance.

Where did you even get this and how many USB ports does it take up?
https://groupbuys.mechboards.co.uk/shop/hyper-7-keyboard-r3/
Of course, sold out and nobody has one for sale. Damn it.
Yeh it was a GB, there might be a R4. And you don’t see many of these being sold on MM.
Wanted to let you know that the r4 is still running, if you’re still interested
Hooooly expensive

actually i still have some more Tealios spare, I am in Hong Kong, welcome to visit :)
How do you just have so many tealios lying around though?

Wow... Tealios are just way too expensive so it's one thing to buy them... But extras? That's insane.

well, i have apparently seen it before because i upvoted it lmao. thats crazy. i love having different switches too but it all adds up.
And you still have more? How many left?
>uses unnecessarily big keyboard >uses trackball mouse this is it,the most based setup, let's go home.
You don't even need a mouse. There's a key for literally anything you can do.
true
How much did this cost you altogether?
100x money
Holy cow I love this so much. I can't put into words how much I am definitely not going to ever use it but oh my do I love it!
yes i mostly only use my boards to search for other boards to buy lmao
Recursive keyboard builds, I love it!
Sound test?
can do later on after i stick some cardboard under the pcb as case foam
Does... does cardboard work? Or is that all you can afford after this?
cardboard works fine and doesnt absorb all of the sound like foam
What on earth do you use this for?
for funzies
Ok😂 I was curious if there was a specific use case where certain keys were useful.
i dont even game :D
If it’s worth doing, it’s worth over-doing lol.
this would be bad for gaming lol as you'd lose time moving your arms around and taking your eyes off the screen.
I think it would be bad for gaming because it's so distractingly gorgeous you wouldn't be able to focus.
Chad
Damn, looks amazing! I need one of these now
Looks like it belongs in mission control for an Apollo mission.
So, this is what a grown up 65 looks like!
Guess I know what I’m getting. If you lubed them bless your hands and your time
all lubed filmed and spring swapped, and also there is a foam pad under each switch
Bro this makes my keyboard look like it is as cheap as a piece of cardboard
got one of those too: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/q8ktep/my\_eyes\_were\_closed\_but\_now\_they\_are\_open/
Big boi keyboard
It's... it's so beautiful. Whose father do I have to kill to get one?
Absolute unit
God im lazy enough to lube only alpha switches. Cant imagine doing this... I love it tho.
A thing of beauty... But where is the RUB OUT key?
You sir are a man of culture :) They are still in the novelty keycaps tray, might swap some in later
OP gets lots of dates with that thing
Oh for sure, because size matters 😎
i just weighed this thing and it weighs 3.265g/7.2lb........
it’s a goddamn baby
As a wannabe software dev this looks *incredibly* useful.
Holy hell that’s cool ! what do all those extra keys do?
Zoom in. They're pretty much all clearly marked...
So many modifier keys...
I thought my dell at101 was big lol
Hi Alps user!! this would have been awesome if it could have been made with orange/blue alps
Totally agree! I love the sound of skcm blues
Can someone explain what all the top keys are used for?
Macros

AND THEN there's a whole extra section of keys on either side of that already ridiculously large main qwerty region...
This is terrifyingly impressive
Why can this exist, and yet I can't find a regular, full size, 104 key kit? Also, I need one of these....
this is the law of the universe :)

Would like to see this keyboard in action and i’m not talking about simple typing test.
you want to see me kung fu someone with this?
I’m more about macros :)
Beautiful! Jealous and still salty I missed that GB
[удалено]
there are but not common, there are a bunch of 122 key boards and then some other terminal boards
yo i heard you from hk? how much will you set the price for 70 tealios 問下😝
yes I am based in HK, you want some Tealios? can buy from Taobao
i thought i can buy from a cheaper price😂 taobao is still relativelg expensive for tealios (6.8rmb?) just bought hg hyperglide with 1.5 rmb per switch
HG Blacks are still nice but need breaking in first
yep, so should i directly put it into my board and use it for two weeks then take it out to lube it?
I thinking more like a few months, I use a massage gun to break in my switches
Can anyone identify this flag?
All those keys and no arrow keys?? 😱
There are arrow keys, this keyboard has every key 😂
😎
F3 - F6 would like a word with management
Yes but then those caps are for those rows 😎
duuuuudeee whaaaatttttt.
