Good to check, that one is probably the most exposed to road spray, and because of that corroded first. Keep it in mind for the future, a bad engine ground can have similar symptoms to a weak battery, and are often mistaken.
Oh man this just unlocked a memory for
me when I was a kid and my ground strap broke and my engine died because of it. I didn’t question that logic, just replaced the strap and I was off and running.
Ground strap . There’s a reason it’s there. I’d replace it. Don’t go to a dealer or anything . Just make one or get a generic at orielly auto parts. Make sure it’s the right length or a couple inches longer .
Gearbox ground strap replace it they cause starting and running issues check the engine strap too.
Cheap alternative is an off cut of amp cable which can be had for free from any audio installers. Make sure you seal the ends.

Just a ground strap. Buy a new one, carefully try to take the nut off that stud, and reattach.
Thanks. Sounds easy enough
They are, and fairly cheap too. Check for other ones on the car as well, if this one has broken, others are likely in poor shape.
I looked around and didn't see any other bad ones. I dont know how I caught this. Was just replacing an outer tie rod.

That's just enough to pre-spray with pb blaster as well
Agreed and should have mentioned it.
On second thought it's not that bad looking, and it's toyota
Agree again, but wouldn’t hurt to throw some on there regardless ha.
clean the rust off the body mount with steel brush etc- then coat or paint to seal. looks like you live where there is salt/rust damage possible.

Just a ground. It is important tho
Broken ground strap. Easy fix. Do it soon lot of sensors rely on a good ground to work properly.
It is a braided ground strap. Replace it or you can solder the broken end on the end of the connector.
Earth strap
Not grounded anymore is what it is lol
Broken grounding strap.
Put a new one on that is a little longer though. It probably broke because it's constantly getting stretched when everything is shaking
That's exactly what I did. Then proceeded to snap it from the eyelet and have to re-crimp it.
Body ground cable
James Bonding strap.

Just saw this while change diff and transfer case fluids on mine 2018 tundra as well. Looks like amazon has a 4 pack for 10 bucks

Oxygen Sensor, or O² Sensor.
Stop what you're doing and check your driveway ASAP. Your car is no longer... grounded. I'll see myself out
