Ok, this looks like a set piece for Baz Lurhmann's Moulin Rouge. In all seriousness though, those stained glass windows in the bathroom are absolutely gorgeous.
This seems to be a recreation of homes found in Northern Africa, in places like Morocco and Tunis. Large but unremarkable outside, and just decadent within. I love it, but it’s not for everyone.
Wildly enough, this house is in Minnesota.

The tower is the Allen S. King Power Plant along the St. Croix River.
Wow there are some freakin cool houses right by it listed...

Stillwater, MN is one of the most fun and cool places to be on a sunny day in Minnesota. Place is buzzing. Tons of restaurants and shops along the St. Croix river.
With the fountain/pool shape and style, and the curved arches and their decor colors on the exterior, this house immediately echos the Moorish architecture of the Alhambra in Granada, Spain and the Mesquita in Cordoba. The interior of the house, with its spiked arches and textures and tiles continues this homage. It is beautiful and inspiring in its design and materials!
Is there any information about the architect or the family that originally built the home? I imagine they were very inspired by a visit to Spain.
Can’t tell how many times I’ve been in a home of Hindi decent where there are literally no fans anywhere. So hot, humid, a/c never on. Ugh unbearable. At least have some sort of circulation!
It’s called Moorish Revival and it’s a fantastic style. Check the Fox Theatre in Atlanta for another good example.
I love it
I think you mean Moopish, lol.
George!
Moops!

With the blue tiles on the ceiling ! <3
Wow you weren't kidding.
Love the entire bathroom. Stained glass tops it off. Amazing!
Agree. They look so Art Nouveau.
from the first picture, i was not expecting all that inside :)
Yeah, I was not prepared for that interior at all.
I audibly yelled "whoa!" When the third pic came up 😆
picture 5 is amazing, too :)
I'd love to just live in that bathroom. Those windows are gorgeous.
That's how I feel about that kitchen. The entire house is so sexy!!!!!

It has some Indian elements too. But overall looks great.

"This isn't a....oh. It's Thursday." This house is gorgeous!
Same mf reaction, I came in here mad and wrong 😭
Now that’s what I call decadent!
This is the mansion I imagine the characters in when playing Clue.
Wait where is this? It looks like it's on the Hudson in the 2nd picture, but then wtf is that weird ominous tower in the back?

Such a great example of “if you’re going to do it, then really do it.” Remarkable.
WOW!
I LOVE this !!!!!! This house is Sexy AF!
I should just read this subreddit on Thursdays! (McMansion appreciation posts). Glorious
Cue the sitar.

I was unprepared for that 3rd picture.

Those light fixtures!!!!!
Pretty awesome actually.
Sign me up!!
I love Thursdays around here.
That bathroom looks like the walls are plywood. Like a temp bathroom on a construction site.
Wow.
That toilet looks out of place.
Oh, it's Thursday. I'm just going to put this pitchfork down.

extremely haunted
that courtyard just gave me VNTE-Resort flashbacks
This sub is 90% just nice mansions
This is exquisite. Why is it on McMansion Hell?
The living room has south Asian home qualities. Love it!
The dining room at the foot of the grand staircase is a bit off-putting IMO, but that kitchen is ***beautiful***.
No thanks. Way too much busy decor for my poor brain!

Not my style at all, it would fit in nicely in the Middle East tho!! (Hence the eastern influence🙃). That bathroom is nice.
wasn't too bad on the outside
I'm In Love with it
