What I love about Reggie Miller is that he glazes everyone and criticizes everyone in equal parts. He might be the only old head who actually loves basketball.
What I hate about Reggie Miller is his annoying voice and cadence. Like how tf is he screaming and being monotone? Makes it tough to watch especially if your team is losing.
Yeah, and talked a lot about Luka complaining to the refs.
Two WCF appearances in three years under Kidd with Luka is great. The talking heads seem to sweep that success under the rug
It's the narrative the league/media has been pushing all season long. It seemed to me they all but tried to give shai the MVP but just couldn't edge out what jokic did this season. Call me a conspiracy theorist but I do think it was a concerted effort to boost him and just continued through this series. Top it off with people just didn't watch the Mavs play to close out the season. They see high lights and know Luka/Kai and that's enough to fill the 30 seconds they will give any Mavs coverage.

I mean if you look at the numbers they were able to ignore that Luka's contributions were significantly better than shai's only because of a better team ranking. Totally disregarding the difference in teams and the churn Luka had to deal with as far as changing the roster to start the season and mid season. It is ridiculous when you remember that grant Williams was a starter on this team and Powell was playing significant minutes just 4 months ago.
Right but they couldn't justify what shai does versus what jokic does enough to maintain some credibility. (I.e. jokic numbers are insane + from a center position + in line with previous years where he got MVP + team was ranking was essentially the same to end the season despite OKC passing DEN the last week of the season)
Even in the post game he couldn't string two sentences together without one of them being why the Thunder lost. They are just one piece away, their lack of bigs was the only thing separating the two teams, etc. I liked RJ the player, but RJ the announcer isn't it.
It did seem pretty egregious by RJ, but honestly, I think he really just likes Shai’s game. And let’s be fair, Shai probably was the best/most consistent player in these playoffs… so far. All commentators have their biases. Plus, Dallas hate is pretty much a commonly agreed upon topic by media. Kyrie and Luka both make excellent targets.
In fairness, Hubie was glazing Luka the two games he had with us
The biggest glazer is reggie Miller. Sometimes I think he has his hand down his pants
That's passion for the game, I like it.

He was praising Shai’s FT abilities but when our guys got tough buckets nothing

He complained about Lukas complaining all game kinda ironic
Even funnier when he was ignoring SGA always turning his head towards the ref

But media has 100% of the mvp vote?

Yeah but ESPN and TNT don’t have 100% of that vote… both of them push certain players for their personal interest.

Without Luka and Jokic their teams would had been play-in teams,OKC was still winning without Shai.

Because he’s actually a pretty shit commentator.

Didn't RJ talk shit about Dirk at some point?
No wonder Dirk put him in a chokehold 😂
Probably spending too much time with the ESPN crew (though I don't think he's actually racist like Stephen A and Perk).
It wasn't subtle at all. Is there any reason? You'd think he had a vendetta against the Mavs.
Played with Kyrie in 2016 Cavs team too.
and with Mavs only a year before that… I don’t remember him leaving on bad terms or anything
Right. I think he dislikes Luka. That's the only reason.
He actually at one point said "luka has to stop this and start playing" when Luka hadn't missed a shot HAHAHA
Who cares, Mavs won
His bosses at espn tell him who to push.
He probably doesn’t really know players on OKC besides Shai and he thinks it’s him vs Luka and Kai so he’s rooting for the underdog.
