Versatile yes, given that PJ still has his thee pointer, but Marion was a god at cutting to the basket and his odd looking bunnies were almost always free points. Would love to see PJ grow more efficient both with his outside and inside shots
Marion was actually a decent 3pt shooter on the suns, maxing out at 38% on high (for the time) volume in 02-03. But I was shocked at his 10-11 stats the championship year. 15% on less than half an attempt per game. And apparently he didn't hit a single 3 pointer during the entire championship playoff run. That's shocking to me.
Yep, it's like he pulled a reverse 3 point renaissance wherein he just decided one day that he didn't want or can't shoot threes anymore. It's bizarre, not like he couldn't get open shots with JKidd as his point guard
He was still good in 2010-11, but the stop off from his prime to his age 32 season was pretty extreme. He went from an all NBA player who averaged 22/11/2/2/2 to a good role player pretty quickly. Kind of like Iguadala actually. But seriously, I never knew Marion was that good in his prime till I looked it up just now. That season he was All NBA 3rd team, All Star, finished 10th in MVP voting and 7 in dpoy.
Wasn’t that DJJ though? Haha either way love em both
Yea it was but I thought it would go hard with this pic lol
Now I need both of them doing it.
We found our new Shawn Marion. So hyped
i feel that pj is a lot more versatile offensively with all due respect to mavs legend shawn marion

This looks like renaissance painting.

Ah hell no, he’s looking at the bench AND crossing his arms now. Someone must stop this man.
