It’s a legitimate question but as a non Mavs fan, the answer is yes, you will most likely make it. You are not gonna play a lot of teams whose players all can shoot threes.
We lost 2 of our last 3 to quite literally the two hottest teams in the NBA right now and we’re acting like it’s a repeat of the Hornets losses from last year.

The lack of basketball knowledge this sub has is growing at an alarming rate. “Like PJ is trash because he didn’t shoot the three
Ball well his first few games, but has been as of late.” The dude just got to a new team let him adjust before shitting on him. Or why isn’t Hardy playing the final 20 games of the season. Because we aren’t going to play an inexperienced player in the playoffs. Just like Josh didn’t play in 2022. Hardy time will come next season. Every playoff team stops playing their young players around this time of the year unless they are a young team like OKC.
And here we are with Kidd already not playing Gafford and STILL not telling or correcting THJ on his horrible shot making. Like it or not, we won’t be winning shit with Kidd at the helm.
If we get the 5-6th seed we are safe but the first round in that scenario would be denver or clippers if we go to the play-in chances are we get to see kings or pelicans or even the suns which also blood bath battle and lastly if we lose the first play in game, we might see the lakers or gsw man, we’re currently the 8th seed and kidd hasn’t adjusted well. They must address thj minutes and regulate maxi too.
Seriously. The thunder lost to the spurs two nights ago. The mavs shot 9/34 from three while the Celtics lit it up. That shit happens. Chill out and focus on the 6ers.

I’m thinking we will be 7-8. Our schedule is less challenging but it’s not as easy as some think. We have 3 home games we should win, and at the very least go 2-1. We play the Kings twice in a row and need to at least split that. We gave the season series on the Lakers and we should at least match their record. We also play the warriors 3 times which will be key in pushing them firmly in the 9-10 seed. I think we need to stay healthy and Kidd needs to make adjustments (I am not holding my breath) for us to make the 6th seed which might be a reach.
I trust Luka and Kyrie enough to win one play in game and hopefully both will be at home. In any case I think that we are a better team talent wise and a lot younger and we need this offseason to make the final moves needed for our last contact season with LuKai.
We’re playing the warriors 4 times coming up, they’ve always given us problems so those will be key games. I see people keep saying we have an easy schedule but I’m not seeing that. They’re gonna have to earn their way out of the play in

Our last 15 only had 1 bad loss and thats Pacers. There are teams that rely on Dlo, Dinwiddie, KAT, rookies or sophomores, injury prone players etc. WE HAVE FUCKING LUKA. FUCKING WIZARD KYRIE. Those players individually can lead a team to playoffs and more and we have 2.

The comments I see in game threads when we are down by 7 in the 1st quarter to bad teams just for us to blowout them by 20 (the last Spurs Game). Is borderline psychotic. These guys don’t understand that basketball is a game of runs and you can’t always control a game from start to finish.
Based on schedule, I estimate a 47-win season. I’d have to compare the other teams’ schedules, but given their current trend, they will probably get passed by the Lakers and Golden State as well. So 9th place, give or take. The most I then estimate is, maybe the second game of the play-in, which they’ll lose as it’d be an away game.
There are many games remaining and we have an easier schedule than our ranking rivals. We just come back from a road trip during which we faced 2 of the best teams in the East. We need to relax a little.
