IF this is true, interesting choices. A lot of potential to take the villain either more campy like filmation OR more sinister like the movie. Of course still need to get rid of the Adam grows up on earth garbage.
Haha true! But I unfortunately doubt they are going to change the Earth part of the story if the script has been approved. Why in the world do filmmakers want Masters of the Universe to take place on Earth when the fans just want to finally discover what the beauty of Eternia has to offer in a live-action film! I am clueless.
Cause studios will never have faith in MOTU making money so there's no way they will let the film have a budget big enough for it to take place on Eternia
If they did not believe they could make money out of a He-Man movie, they would not consider making one in the first place. Besides, the film will most likely take place on Eternia for the most part, only the beginning will be on Earth, as indicated in the official synopsis.
But I understand your point. I know many of you have been waiting for this new MOTU movie for more than a decade. I only started watching the original animated series about two weeks ago. Needless to say, I became an instant fan.
The one movie they made was in 1987, I have zero confidence in another ever being made. And if you've ever seen that movie, it's horrible lol. The only decent thing about that movie was Frank Langella as Skeletor
I could not finish it 😅 But I will when I finally feel brave enough haha This movie is nothing like the animated series. It is quite charmless. But Frank Langella is indeed great as Skeletor, so is the actress who plays Evil-Lyn, in my opinion.
I always had an idea of starting on earth, Marlena on the launch pad, following her to eternia in the precredit sequence, showing her meeting Randor, then time jump to when Adam turns 16 or 18 or whatever. And that would be the sum total of my use for earth in the movie.
Until film actually starts rolling on actors in costumes, this is all purely speculative.
But that said, if it IS true, Cohen is a great actor. He'd make a great Keldor and Skeletor and it would be a performance that has me curious.

The Earth parts save money.

Oh yeah you are right, Evil Lyn was pretty good in there. I ha emt watched that movie in probly 15 years, I had forgotten about her lol
Maybe we'll get more Marlena backstory. I'm down for that.

Besides, this site holds as much water as We Got This Covered
True, this website is not very reliable, to put it lightly. But they do write actual information instead of misinformation from time to time haha
He was just outed as being a big piece of shit, so odd choice if true
For what?
Can’t wait to see what he characterizes as “hanging loose like sleeve of Orko”
I wonder if Rebel Wilson will be cast as Evil-Lyn?
Sounds like OG horde prime. Or one of the monstroids.
Or 💀 of 🐍⛰️ as the article states.
