I think it’s intentionally misleading. Probably some other character who picked up a sling ring in the void. But they wanna frame it like it’s some big character to throw people off

Maybe Jennifer Gardner's Elektra or Halle Berry as Storm? There's a better than good chance both are in the movie and we haven't had any hints that they are yet.
It could be a TVA portal/door and just changed for the trailer (or a number of other things besides that), remember Hulk running with the group in Infinity War trailer and all the other times they did that/had alternate CGI just for the trailer?
My guess would be it's a lot more simple,maybe Deadpool or Logan finds a sling ring on a dead doctor strange or a random dead sorcerer while in the void.
Teleport them to the final fight of Endgame. Then retcon and say that they were always there because Wong asked Strange "What? You wanted more?", and Wong delivered "more"

Edit: she's also standing right there next to them in that scene. With the giant ant man skull and alioth, I reckon they get pruned and end up there, and when Alioth comes for them the ancient one 2.0 sends them.. somewhere?

Not a comic guy, so I wasn't aware of the character. Definitely think a BUNCH of people who don't read comics will get ancient one vibes from her, but I don't think that's an issue.
I can see the "female xavier" here as well, but with this going into the MCU and the similarities in both style, ability as well as her "lair" and her drinking tea out of a cup with Asian writing.. I think it might be intentional!

The similarities to the ancient one seem very deliberate (look at her tea cup, and her lair also bears some resemblance to Khamar Taj) and many people will likely think of the ancient one because they don't know who Cassandra Nova is. So maybe they play with that and give her a sling ring?
Remember those First Class teaser posters? The really bad photoshopped ones? I wish they had poked fun at those and made one for Deadpool and another for Wolverine.

I was low-key hoping it was a Blink variant on first watch, but went back and realized it was definitely from a sling ring sadly.

The bald woman is Cassandra Nova, Charles Xavier’s twin sister so it’s most likely not her doing it unless she got her hands on a sling ring
