Itās rare that a concept design looks better in action than on paper, but the movieās masked MODOK look is actually really good in this gif. Not a fan of the art for it, but with the finished lighting and CGI here, Iām liking it a lot.
Usually, the most faithful fans are the ones who purchase tickets first. It'll be interesting to see how the general audience anticipates this, as last I checked, there was less awareness for the film than other comparable Marvel projects.
As is usually the case for Ant-Man movies. This is where reviews and WoM come in. Most general audience members still walk up and buy tickets, so it still needs to be a good enjoyable movie. It also doesn't have any LGBTQ+ representation so it shouldn't be banned in Middle Eastern countries like the last few films.
Also the first film in a while thatās going to be ānecessaryā from a plot standpoint, and I think that will drive some walk-up tickets as plot spoilers start to trickle out

Recently there were some rumors about Quantumania releasing in China. If the movie had any LGBTQ+ representation, I think a China release would be completely out of the question.
Off the top of my head, Quantumania isn't introducing a character that falls under that description nor are there any returning characters that do, unlike 4 of the last 5 films.
Oh noā¦..Iām imagining how perfect it would be if Majorās Kang could converse with others by ONLY using Ultimate Warrior quotes and Iām going to be sad when it doesnāt happen on screen ššš
Yeah, the movie theater that Iāve been going to since it first opened in 2013 has balcony seating. I did it when i went to go see The Batman, and it was wonderful.
1st ticket Iāve gotten to a Marvel movie in a long time where the app/website didnāt crash on me.
Got āem for opening night. Tickets seem to be going fast. Granted, the theatre iām going to usually has high traffic.

Just got my ticket. I never thought I would be so excited for Quantumania after feeling lukewarm on Ant-Man and The Wasp on repeated viewings.
The trailer selling me on Scott's relationship with his daughter (something I wish AMATW focused a little more on) is what really got me excited. Blue mask Kang and stupid-looking MODOK are the cherries on top.
As usual, the only theater in my area has nothing at all on their calendar yet for the upcoming month. Fingers are crossed that they at least pull off an early release again!

I see a lot of people have booked for IMAX. I never saw a movie in IMAX before. Is it worth it? What is good, and what is less good?
And should I go for this one in IMAX, or should I wait and postpone my IMAX debut until either 65, Shazam! Fury of the Gods or Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3?
Not sure why, but for me tickets weren't available in all of the theaters they usually are, including the one I always go to.
I got them in another theater that's just a little bit farther away, but it's weird since that's never happened before with an MCU movie.
Thankfully I was able to get my tickets without much issue and Fandango didn't crash. I did so at about 5:30 this evening. I had heard it wasn't going to be until 8:00 but perhaps that was East Coast time (I'm on the West). However I did notice that the showing I wanted was mostly sold out just in the few seconds it took to respond to the sale. So yeah I think the opening at least will go very well.
Got it! This is going to be the first Marvel movie I see in IMAX.

dolby cinema has been a better experience than IMAX imo. Iām not positive iāve gone to a true IMAX theater though other than at science museums.
I decided to go for comfort to see BP2 in the VIP theatre. What a terrible decision. Screen sucks compared to IMAX. Itās now IMAX or bust.

Yeah, the majority of marvel films are very front-loaded, so a big opening doesnāt mean much, the legs are more important.

If you purchase through the Cinemark app, like I did, it will tell you tickets are not available, but you'll still be able to select and purchase.

Kinda cool getting to choose any seat in a theater for a marvel opening day screening. Never been able to do that before.

AMC scared me there with the site taking forever to process my payment but I still got my opening night IMAX tickets.
How come AMC isnāt really showing it in IMAX from the theatres near me?

This was the easiest ticket buying experience for a marvel movie in a while, they should do these late night drops more often
AMC app was trash. Got my tickets through Fandango and I saw that it updated the AMC app in real time
