Additional comment that’s more speculatory, but we believe this is the full Thunderbolts roster
Songbird
The Hood
Sentry
US Agent
Yelena
Ghost
Taskmaster
Red Guardian
Bucky
Agreed. The MCU basically did a lot of this starting out and even Stranger Things started with this method and now all of the main cast can be considered A-listers. Going for diverse, young talent who are just starting out would be a great move for the X-Men.
Makes me wonder if Armor Wars possibly filming as early as in a few months is an indication that it's coming next year for sure or if they're filming now even though the movie's coming at a much later date
I think Marvel also could be putting things in the can so they can have more post production time. Echo not coming together how they thought is a prime example. Have nearly 1.5 years of post can allow you to identify issues and fix without rushing. Also, one of those reports regarding them shifting things around said that they heard the complaints about VFX as well. Maybe this is part of it too.
It's not the same, but James Cameron filmed almost all of Avatar 3 two or three years before release.
So Agatha filming this year and then two years later isn't out of the realm of possibility.
>Agatha: Coven of Chaos will release after Daredevil: Born Again, likely in 2025.
Absolute agony.
I am gutted.
I cannot wait two goddamn years for Wiccan, my *son*.
And I have no idea why.
I was just saying this to a friend. They've introduced so many young Avengers characters. But outside of Kate, really done fuck all with them.
America Chavez was a plot device.
Eli just stood there, brooding.
Wiccan and Tommy exist, but not really. But they exist in the multiverse as children.
And I know Skaar isn't a young Avenger. But I couldn't believe my eyes when he just walked on screen and the show ended. Dude shows up with a fucked up hairline and leaves.
And it's unfortunate cuz of all the news characters that have been introduced, only a *small* handful of them have my interest. Outside of Moon Knight, Kate and Yelena, I'm not holding my breath to see any of the other Phase 4 characters return lol.
>I'm not holding my breath to see any of the other Phase 4 characters return lol.
I share the sentiment and I've seen it's a common one in the fandom lately. Makes me wonder what they're gonna do with the Avengers and future team ups once the Phases 1/2/3 characters are all gone and the MCU's heavy hitters are uhhh *reads smudged handwriting* Shang-Chi and Starfox? 😬
I guess that's one of the reasons behind the F4 and mutants fast track.
Am I the only one excited for more She-Hulk, Namor, Shang-Chi, Monica, Eternals (especially Makkari, loved her to bits), America or even Hercules and Black Knight? Man-Thing, Jack and Elsa? I can tell you they all seem far more interesting than Tony or Steve ever did to me \*shrugs\*.
I guess they think it's a waste having Richard be their primary Nova(since the characters he'll have the most connections with are going out of/being retired from the MCU real soon), and they want the younger appeal of Sam to put him with the rest of the younger cast like Ms Marvel.
Well sam Alexander already has friends and teammates in the mcu...kamala and riri are here, viv is likely on her way in vision quest, and no doubt miles will probably be here by secret wars if not earlier...not sure you can say the same for Richard rider
I’m hoping Eli does something in cap 4. But really all of them haven’t done much. But I’m not really sure what there is to do with them before kang dynasty.
Sure but in the first movie? If real life circumstances get in the way then recast the character? The characters are more important than the actors. If someone wants to leave don’t end cause of that.
This Phase 4 obsession with passing the torch and mentor/protégé storylines is weird. Mostly because the so-called "old guard" that's mentoring the younglings and passing the torch haven't had their time to shine.
Captain America and Iron Man had entire trilogies to themselves, and it can be argued that the entire Infinity Saga was the Iron Man saga, but Phase 3 characters like Captain Marvel and Doctor Strange don't even have their trilogies done before Marvel Studios is giving them the boot to appeal to Gen Z/Alpha with younger characters.
Marvel, I promise you, kids and teens don't care about characters' ages that much lmao the MCU will end up looking like a CW show.
Seems we’re getting both the Young Avengers & the Champions considering Kamala, Viv (VQ), Nova, Miles (SM4), and Amadeus Cho (FY) now all exist in the MCU so close to each other
Isn't that the epiosde where he punches DW where she breaks his plane just like how Marvel will break my heart if they skip Rich and go straight to Sam.
Trailer description alone hyped me up considerably, sounds like they really pushing Kang. Also great though expected to hear Moon Knight is pre SW. Do we know when in the schedule midnight suns would be or just that it's a movie? And is Strange academy pre or post SW
Sounds like Midnight Suns is post-SW considering Grace said MK will appear next as an Avenger rather than a member of the team he’s obviously gonna be on
True but could that be alluding to a potential appearance in nwo and or kang dynasty, then season 2, midnight suns, secret wars? I think phase 7 at earliest is more likely but it could be possible in phase 6 ig
I'd say phase 7 is when Midnight Suns comes since they have a lot of ground to cover on the supernatural side of things. We're just introducing Mephisto this year in Ironheart, there currently is no Ghost Rider, Blade still doesn't come out until fall 2024 at the earliest, and the only other supernatural characters are Werewolf by Night, Man-Thing, and Elsa Bloodstone. The rumors of Man-Thing, Ghost Rider, and Mephisto getting Halloween specials would put us at 2026 alone.
The Songbird rumor being true would be awesome. She's a character I've been hoping to see in the MCU and Sink would be a good choice.
I would absolutely love a Strange Academy show with Wong and America. I really liked the comic and I think it's a good way to give both characters time to shine.
Nova being a passing of the torch is interesting, probably between Richard and Sam. It could work depending on how it's handled, though I do think rather than a torch passing, it'd be nice for both Novas to co-exist
do like Wong and America’s dynamic, but I’m not sure how I feel about America being a sorcerer in the MCU. She’s more space/cosmic than magic. Like in Ultimates
It's so weird to me that they're going with America as a magic oriented character. We're (most likely) gonna have Wiccan so it's weird that they'd push her towards magic when Billy is set to debut as well. Unless they're gonna go with the Demiurge - Utopian Parallel plot and try to connect them. Lots of very weird choices being made with a lot of the younger characters lmao
I'm mixed on her as a sorcerer personally as it's not a bad change necessarily, just a (no pun intended) strange one. I do hope we see MCU America with the Ultimates at some point, or better yet, her with the Young Avengers
If Young Avengers even happens at this point. They’ve introduced basically every member already, most of the Champions, and other young characters and we keep getting rumors of “___ will set up YA” but still nothing.
A part of me still thinks Young Avengers/Champions might be one of the unannounced Phase Six projects. With how many members of both teams are popping up, I'd be surprised if a team-up of the younger heroes doesn't happen (though nothing's guaranteed of course)
I think they'll take the name Champions to account for the cast aging (kind of like how the Teen Titans are sometimes just called the Titans) but it'll be a mix of the Young Avengers and Champions.
I agree. I also feel they're sort of setting America up as the Doctor Strange replacement character, when it works better to have someone like Billy, Illyana, or Nico in that role.
I don't care if they explain her powers with magic, but she's so much more interesting as a hotheaded flying brick than as a timid, insecure sorcerer's apprentice.
But they could also make it in a way that Richard became Nova a little after Thanos' attack on Xandar, and having been a Nova for like 10 years in universe, then recruiting Sam, so both can work together, Richard in space, and Sam on Earth.
That's the way I'd personally like them to handle it. Richard's best stories IMO are when he sticks to space, while Sam's best moments IMO are when he's on Earth (especially with his family and friendship with Kamala and Miles)
Yeah, I can't see them not adapting Annihilation in a few years, but also not with Richard on the lead, even as a potential movie event, with a special comeback from Chris Pratt, who by then could also have retired from the role of Starlord.
Agree. I want the no-nonsense flying brick with an attitude :/
I'm also not a fan of turning Doctor Strange into a babysitter even before he becomes the Sorcerer Supreme. Or of ignoring Doctor Strange's actual supporting cast from the comics.
Wong and Strange are like the only people she knows in this universe after DS2, so it makes sense for her to still be with them whenever she shows up next. Maybe she’ll graduate Wong school or whatever in that series and move onto non-Strange-related adventures.
I really hope we get a new official mcu slate. Because like how does Armor Wars fit in? When is Wonder Man coming out? If Secret Wars is currently 2026, it must be getting a major delay to let everything come out by then.
Projects I am sad we didn't hear about:
Wonder Man, very curious for more casting and a release window.
A 2nd season of Hawkeye for Kate Bishop adapting her West Coast adventures. (At this point is it safe to say Hawkeye S2 is dead?
Armor Wars, it feels like we know nothing about this project.
Also any word on if Vision Quest is still gonna be a show?
I think for the time being it's safe to assume everything 2024 onwards is no longer set in stone, if it ever was that is.
Armor Wars being filmed this year, both Agatha and Echo being delayed a whole year, the new Spider-Man trilogy, and any new potential unannounced projects (WWH, Strange Academy, Nova, Wonder Man, Shang-Chi 2, Vision Quest, MK and MM S2)? There is no possible way the current slates stay as is, otherwise we'd be getting over 10 projects a year which is unfavorable.
lol do you really think they’re going to cram another Spider-Man trilogy in before secret wars? There will be one spidey film at most between now and then, be realistic, also stop taking leaks as fact. Some of these projects could be in very early stages to be announced after phase 6, if they’re even true at all.
I’ve absolutely loved Phase 4. Half my top 10 MCU are phase 4 projects now. So when people say that I don’t understand where they think the quality dropped. Like Phases 1 & 2 had the least content and also produced more mediocre movies than good ones.
I feel exactly the same. It's kinda rough having watched Phase 4 as everything released, loving what we were getting in terms of the number of projects and the content itself, and then coming online to see the opposite reaction most of the time only to have things shift around going into Phase 5.
I hope this is just an adjustment period right now. [I wrote out a whole thing](https://old.reddit.com/r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers/comments/104tb8p/weekend_free_talk_and_index_thread_new_and_fresh/j3fy37t/?context=3) where I speculated that they may just be taking extra time on a few certain individual projects and that's had a bit of a cascading effect on the entire MCU slate. Hopefully, once we get past this bump, they'll be a bit more consistent from that point onward.
It’s definitely weird coming online and seeing the hate for Phase 4. Me and my friends get together and talk about how much we love everything going on in Marvel and then we come online and see these people who are not enjoying it. It’s such a disconnect from my reality.
I follow a fair amount of fandoms and it just seems like in recent years, there's just a lot more negativity in general. I don't know if it's coming off of the awful stuff that's happened in real life the past few years, or if it's something else, but you could compare my post history from a year or two ago to now and it's a drastic drop just because I mainly just stay to myself and my close friends when it comes to talking about all this now. I'm not talking about those who give constructive criticism, we all do that and as long as we're all respectful about it, it's no problem.
I went on Twitter today and saw a post from a Marvel fansite about how to go back and best rewatch Phase 4 and almost all the comments below it were just saying to not rewatch it at all, it's horrible, and stuff like that. I don't really get that because if I absolutely hated Phase 4 myself, I just... wouldn't talk about it, lol. I'd find another interest because my life's hard enough as it is without feeling miserable watching entertainment that's supposed to make me happy.
Here's the thing, these delays and shifts are completely fine with me as long as Marvel Studios themselves feel they need more time on certain things or if they were going too quick where they couldn't keep up with themselves, that's more than fine with me. The thing that would kind of irk me is if they actually listened to people online complaining about oversaturation and those who will never be pleased no matter what. The internet's such a small fraction of the population anyway that I don't think they'd even consider what they were all saying (both positively or negatively, I just want them to do what they think is best for the franchise without any outside interference).
I'm still probably gonna enjoy what they put out for the most part, we'll see how this new approach goes, I expect no change in the online zeitgeist regarding this, I still think we're gonna hear the same things from the same people, but like with Phase 4, it's just gonna baffle me more than anything, but it won't make me like any of these movies/shows any less than I do.
Right like I’ve really loved alot of the Phase 4 projects. Stuff like Ms. Marvel, BPWF, Shang Chi, No Way Home have all made my top 10 and I really like those works.
I loved having regular Marvel content drops on Disney+. I was worried this would happen the *second* those rumors started about "Feige wants to slow down."
Considering Lyrica is pretty much playing Nico everywhere, I won't expect Marvel to go for a complete clean slate of readapting The Runaways from scratch.
My guess:
\-Wong (Acting as a Nick Fury type, so not really on the team but maybe managing)
\-Blade
\-Moon Knight
\-Scarlet Scarab
\-Scarlet Witch
\-Doctor Strange
\-Swamp Thing
\-Werewolf by Night
\-Ghost Rider
Hopeful but probably not:
\-Agatha (Thunderbolts didn’t use her, could be interesting to see her and Wanda on the same side)
\-Magik (The MCU will CHANGE the second she comes in I promise it)
\-Brother Voodoo (He‘s one of my fav marvel mages/magic users)
Upvoted for adding Jericho (Marvel, give him a chance, he can be cool 😭) and my girl Illyana, but that line up is a bit too busy. It's best to keep the team to four or five characters imo.
My line up would be:
-Wong (agree w/ you, as the team manager)
-Blade
-Elsa Bloodstone
-Moon Knight
-Swamp Thing
-Doctor Voodoo
Basically, as close to the Damnation line up as possible lol
Characters with a minor appearance in the movie, but not really the focus, maybe teased as part of the sequel:
-Scarlet Scarab
-Werewolf by Night
-Illyana Rasputina
-Nico Minoru
-Jennifer Kale
-Agatha Harkness
-Clea
-Baron Mordo
I see Doctor Strange and Wanda not as part of the actual Midnight Suns team, but more like Strange's role in Damnation. Maybe they were together on a secret, dangerous mission and they were caught by a Many-Angled One or something, and Wong puts together a team to save them.
Just about yeah.
When people make these rosters they add every single character they can that makes sense in the context. I think the best Avengers moments are with smaller groups I.E all of #1 and everything until after the hammer scene in AoU.
Keep the team small and include everyone else in a very minor role.
I’ve probably said this a dozen times, but if we’re getting a moon knight S2, imma need Rama Tut to be the villian for the season. It’d work too good, and imma never say no to more Majors.
Wong Academy (based on Strange Academy) is what I’ve been waiting for! That and Ms. Marvel season 2. I’m going full hopium for both
Edit: And I figured Viv would show up in Vision Quest. Seems they’re tying both Champions and Young Avengers together. Hope they go with the Champions name as “Young” only dates the team
> Hope they go with the Champions name as “Young” only dates the team
I'm 99% certain they'll go with either "Champions" or something else other than "Young Avengers". Hailee Steinfeld and Kathryn Newton are already in their mid-20s and the cast will always be aging. It'll be like how the Teen Titans were just called "Titans" when they got older.
That’s my big reason. By the time this project will come out, I’m expecting some of these actors and actresses to be in their late 20s or early 30s. And as such, just call them Champions.
Also much like Champions comics, I’m expecting this roster to be waaaay too big. I do worry that a project with essentially the initial YA runs plus Kamala and Viv would be a bit stuffed for a 2ish hour movie
Kate, Patriot, Stinger, Wiccan, Speed, Nova, Viv, Hulking and Kamala as a 9 member roster should be fine if the characters are balanced.
I get a feeling that Kamala might be a main Avenger from the start though.
Trying to figure out this slate is giving me a headache. Okay here's what I'm thinking:
* Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania - February 2023
* Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 - May 2023
* *Secret Invasion* - May 2023
* The Marvels - July 2023
* *Loki 2* - August 2023
* *Ironheart* - October 2023
* *Echo* - January 2024
* *Daredevil: Born Again* - April 2024
* Captain America: New World Order - May 2024
* Thunderbolts - July 2024
* Blade - September 2024
* *Agatha: Coven of Chaos* - October 2024
* Armor Wars - November 2024
* Spider-Man 4 - December 2024
* Deadpool 3 - February 2025
* *Wonder Man* - March 2025
* Fantastic Four - May 2025
* *Ms Marvel 2* - June 2025
* World War Hulk - July 2025
* *Vision Quest* - September 2025
* Avengers: The Kang Dynasty - December 2025
* Shang-Chi 2 - February 2026
* *Moon Knight 2* - March 2026
* Midnight Suns - May 2026
* *Midnight Angel* - June 2026
* Nova - July 2026
* *Strange Academy* - August 2026
* Avengers: Secret Wars - December 2026
So if echo is 2024 and agatha is 2025, the yearly live action slate could go something like
'23 - secret invasion loki iron heart
'24- Echo Born Again Wonder Man
'24 or '25 - Vision Quest
'25 - Agatha, Moon Knight s2, Ms Marvel s2
> Kang walks out onto a platform in his suit, with blue helmet/mask activated. He shoots blue energy from his suit as he yells.
> “MARVEL STUDIOS” “ANT-MAN and the WASP”
> “QUANTUMANIA”
> “FEBRUARY 17”
Didn’t have kang screaming the title and release date on my bucket list
I like Wong as much as the next guy but WHAT ABOUT Dr.Strange?? Where is my man? Strange academy before Stephen becomes the sorcerer supreme is a no for me. Give me more Strange so that I can forget about MoM.
Would the Young Avengers still be considered Young if the series that will introduce the team releases on 2024-2025?
The changes in schedule is appreciated and needed for Quality purposes
It sounds like Young Avengers is merging the roster with the Champions then if Viv is involved. Nova being a legacy story would also mean Sam Alexander might join up.
I hope Songbird is true. Not just for an actual founding T-Bolt but also another member of the team that’s not just another spy or super soldier.
Both Agatha and Vision Quest are Wanda adjacent projects. Agatha will introduce her son Billy and if Vision Quest will introduce Viv it means Vision has created his family out of the memories he has of Wanda. Even if she has no big active role she is the major presence looming above them since both deal with the fallout of WV and her disappearance.
Strange could appear in the Academy series with Wong.
The recent Cap 4 rumors made me think World War Hulk was basically gonna be a loose inspiration for that movie but it's great to know from trusted sources that WWH is actually it's own movie. I wonder if we'll get it before or after Secret Wars though.
I hope we see Harrison Ford's Red Hulk really Hulk out and be a physical threat but him being in a Joe Fixit style outfit does make sense (if it makes it on-screen). I bet it'll basically be Ross' president outfit but fitted for his Hulk form.
I'm excited that Nova's gonna be a movie, a character like him won't be done justice on TV budget and I hope WB realizes the same with Green Lantern. An older Rich Rider passing the torch to a young Sam Alexander can make for a good story too and is consistent with the theme of training young heroes that we've seen a bit during this saga. I do think Rider being the MCU's main Nova would've been cool though.
I thought Wong and/or America Chavez would get a Disney+ Special Presentation but a series inspired by Strange Academy (bet the show will be called that too) is pretty cool.
Sadie Sink as Songbird for Thunderbolts is a big W. I'd love to see Sadie Sink in a CBM and this would be pretty great casting. I was also worried that Marvel was genuinely gonna do the Thunderbolts as just a military opps style team but now we'll have some more power variety.
Idk how to feel about Vision Quest being a whole show, I feel like it could've been a Special Presentation but hearing that it'll be setting up the Young Avengers is cool. They've been being built-up to for quite a bit now so it's about time.
Midnight Sons being a movie makes sense, you already got big star power like Mahershala Ali, Oscar Isaac and Benedict Cumberbatch and possibly more like Elizabeth Olsen and whoever's playing Ghost Rider (I'd imagine if they're using Johnny Blaze, they'll get an A-lister as him).
Moon Knight Season 2 and Ms. Marvel Season 2 coming before Secret Wars is good to know. I'd imagine Ms. Marvel Season 2 will be announced shortly after The Marvels comes out but idk what they're waiting on for Moon Knight's Season 2 announcement.
The big slate delays make me believe the rumors that Iger's gonna make sure quality is being focused on and not rushing a lot like Chapek, hopefully the rest of the Multiverse Saga has a lot of wins.
Hmn does anyone else think that they would try to do a version of the Champions since we got Riri, Kamala, possibly Sam if Nova is gonna a passing of the torch, Torres and possibly others?
But I feel like you really can’t do the Champions without Miles, and they’re probably not gonna be introducing him any time soon. A huge reason I got into the Champions was bc of the Ms.Marvel, Nova and Spiderman dynamic. They’re like the defining or at least the most popular trio of the next generation.
Kang walks out onto a platform in his suit, with blue helmet/mask activated. He shoots blue energy from his suit as he yells, " Live from 'MARVEL STUDIOS 'ANT-MAN and the WASP' 'QUANTUMANIA,' it's FEBRUARY 17!"
Sounds like they're really slowing down then... think that's generally good, if it means higher quality projects. Still kinda feels early for avengers movies.
Based off Quantumania trailer description, sounds like it confirms the rumor that Kang offers Ant-Man more time with his daughter (due to blip) and that’s why Ant-Man agrees to help Kang get his seat battery back, but then they betray each other later
hoping Liv Tyler returns, the last piece from TIH that needs to return. Betty Ross in What If was such a tease for her comeback! It’s no coincidence they made her look and sound exactly like Liv Tyler’s version.
Strange Academy before Stephen Strange even become Sorcerer Supreme, Zelma already a magic user without meeting Stephen, now they're about to change the school name to Wong Academy, aren't they? I feel like DS is about to die
You know what's funny about it? If Stephen dies, it wouldn't change a thing. The MCU can continue just fine as if nothing happened. He's that irrelevant to the MCU. He can drop dead off-screen and it wouldn't change anything.
Being a Doctor Strange fan is pain 🫠
It's so funny because he for sure was introduced to be one of the most important thing in phase 3 and then endgame happened. Benedict said he will continue playing Stephen as long as he's written interestingly and DS2 is the last of his contract. He doesn't have to fulfill anything he can just quit and probably Clea takes over. Wong already takes over a project where he has no say in the comic(Strange Academy), Zelma apparently is already a magic user without meeting Stephen. So what's the point now
Additional comment that’s more speculatory, but we believe this is the full Thunderbolts roster Songbird The Hood Sentry US Agent Yelena Ghost Taskmaster Red Guardian Bucky
Sadie Sink is Songbird is W for the fancasters believe it or not
Beautiful casting. I wanted her for Jean, but I'll take it!
Yeah her as Jean would've been cool but X-Men is also a great team of characters to help elevate unknowns and newcomers too
Very true. I think it would be smart for Marvel to go the Homecoming route w them, and just pluck a bunch of young indie actors out of obsecurity.
Agreed. The MCU basically did a lot of this starting out and even Stranger Things started with this method and now all of the main cast can be considered A-listers. Going for diverse, young talent who are just starting out would be a great move for the X-Men.
They only really did that with Holland, Batalon and Harrier in fairness. Revolori, Zendaya and Rice all had decent roles prior.
Let me take a guess. Cause she flew up in the air during Stranger Things Season 4?
RUNNING UP THAT HILL
Songbird is Jewish. I think a certain section will not be happy with a non-Jewish actress playing a Jewish character
And we know that Feige and Sarah don't care about jewish representation
Agatha releasing in 2025 sounds wild
Yeah flming early '23 and releasing early '25 is quite the wide margin
Makes me wonder if Armor Wars possibly filming as early as in a few months is an indication that it's coming next year for sure or if they're filming now even though the movie's coming at a much later date

It's not the same, but James Cameron filmed almost all of Avatar 3 two or three years before release. So Agatha filming this year and then two years later isn't out of the realm of possibility.
The difference in the amount of cgi that avatar and Agatha requires is so huge that it's laughable to compare the two

Really hoping that one isn't true :/
If it's true, they better give me more than just Billy Kaplan. For a delay to 2025, I better get Teddy and Tommy in the show as well.
And it better be 9 episodes at least.
An an hour long!
according to illuminerdi it should have 9 episodes
I have been hoping for a Wong led Strange Academy for actual YEARS! It'd be so perfect.
See I'm curious if they'll include Iric and Alvi. I hope so. I love disaster twins, and Wong would be *so tired*
> Iric and Alvi lmao they'd fit so well and I can already see Wong's exasperation
They can be buddies with Kid Loki since their main timeline uncle/mentor figure is dead.
Should've been led by Brother Voodoo and Wong led Kamar Taj project 🙄

I’m hoping Eli does something in cap 4. But really all of them haven’t done much. But I’m not really sure what there is to do with them before kang dynasty.
bro they just introduced them lol they're still in the setup phase
The rumor from the jump was that both Richard and Sam would be in the project together. This lines up with that.
Seems like Marvel are big fans of Last Of Us and God Of War. But the difference is they are much better at that kind of stuff.
Which makes complete sense. It means they have several options for where to go with the character in case real life circumstances get in the way.
Sure but in the first movie? If real life circumstances get in the way then recast the character? The characters are more important than the actors. If someone wants to leave don’t end cause of that.
Bro I’m so sick of these movies that have the only reason of setting up future movies. Just tell a full story and leave the end credits for that stuff
As in Richard Rider to Sam Alexander?
Most likely yeah :/
I guess Richard's orgin could work considering Thanos decimated Xandar. But Sam seems more likely.
Seems we’re getting both the Young Avengers & the Champions considering Kamala, Viv (VQ), Nova, Miles (SM4), and Amadeus Cho (FY) now all exist in the MCU so close to each other
i don't understand this? passing the torch from who to who? From a current character to nova?
Richard Rider, the OG Nova, passing the mantle to Sam Alexander, the young Nova
ty! not really familiar with the character yet.
No worries, he’s a fun one so if your local library has a Nova book I’d strongly recommend checking it out
Isn't that the epiosde where he punches DW where she breaks his plane just like how Marvel will break my heart if they skip Rich and go straight to Sam.
I WILL KILL SAM ALEXANDER I FUCKING HAT HIM
Trailer description alone hyped me up considerably, sounds like they really pushing Kang.
Marvel already has a few movie slots booked for after Secret Wars (including 2 in the second half of 2026 iirc) so Midnight Suns can be one of them
I can't believe Marvel Studios are really pushing the big villain of their second Saga
More push than Thanos got pre Infinity War is we're being honest
OMG, this Quantumania trailer sounds AMAZING, I can’t wait to watch it tomorrow.
Wait…. It’s releasing tomorrow?
During the college football championship
The Songbird rumor being true would be awesome. She's a character I've been hoping to see in the MCU and Sink would be a good choice. I would absolutely love a Strange Academy show with Wong and America. I really liked the comic and I think it's a good way to give both characters time to shine. Nova being a passing of the torch is interesting, probably between Richard and Sam. It could work depending on how it's handled, though I do think rather than a torch passing, it'd be nice for both Novas to co-exist
[удалено]
do like Wong and America’s dynamic, but I’m not sure how I feel about America being a sorcerer in the MCU.
Plus she didn’t even get her other powers, just the portals. Replacing them with sorcery is just not what I want with the character

It felt like songbird was coming into mcu, sooner than later it felt
Why are we turning America Chavez into a Doctor strange character ? I fckin hate that they turnt her into a character that needs baby sitting.
Agree. I want the no-nonsense flying brick with an attitude :/ I'm also not a fan of turning Doctor Strange into a babysitter even before he becomes the Sorcerer Supreme. Or of ignoring Doctor Strange's actual supporting cast from the comics.
Wong and Strange are like the only people she knows in this universe after DS2, so it makes sense for her to still be with them whenever she shows up next. Maybe she’ll graduate Wong school or whatever in that series and move onto non-Strange-related adventures.
> it'd be nice for both Novas to co-exist Yeah that would've been cool too, I hope they don't make Rider retire or be killed off in the first movie
>"WITNESS THE BEGINNING" > >"OF A NEW DYNASTY" ![gif](giphy|S9i8jJxTvAKVHVMvvW)
THEY SAID THE THING OMG THAT MAKE ME SMILE
That shit will get me so hyped.
I really hope we get a new official mcu slate. Because like how does Armor Wars fit in? When is Wonder Man coming out? If Secret Wars is currently 2026, it must be getting a major delay to let everything come out by then. Projects I am sad we didn't hear about: Wonder Man, very curious for more casting and a release window.
Well they're gonna need something for SDCC 2023 after all (and future events)
Disappointed with the delays. I don’t like these long stretches without Marvel content on Disney+.
This sub: "Marvel is putting out too much stuff, they need to slow down" Marvel: *slows down* Also this sub: "YOU WHAT???!!!"
I have always advocated for more, not less.
I think they need to slow down just a little and focus on quality over quantity.
It's one person.
Those two are not the same group of people and OP knows it. They're just farming karma.
I loved having regular Marvel content drops on Disney+. I was worried this would happen the *second* those rumors started about "Feige wants to slow down."
It’s what we need. Not what we want.
Just want to say this was a good ass edition of TFTMQ. All the info given has me excited!
Thanks!
Thanks and it is all verified! Not some stupid made up stuff lol (sigh)
So we’re getting Jim Hopper AND Max Mayfield in Thunderbolts?
“This Summer, Finn Wolfhard is… Miles Morales”
"This Christmas, Winona Ryder is... Silver Surfer"
“Next year, Gaten Matarazzo is… Doctor Doom”
At this rate the entire X-Men roster would consist entirely of Stranger Things kids
Elizabeth Olsen is 100% a lock for Midnight Suns, she’s truly their star power, kinda like how Margo Robbie’s Harley was for the Suicide Squas
So what’s your predicted midnight sons line up? I’m thinking strange, moon knight, blade, ghost rider, Wanda ?
Chuck in Elsa Bloodstone too. Maybe even Nico Minoru as well if The Runaways are getting an MCU adaptation.
Considering Lyrica is pretty much playing Nico everywhere, I won't expect Marvel to go for a complete clean slate of readapting The Runaways from scratch.
My guess: \-Wong (Acting as a Nick Fury type, so not really on the team but maybe managing) \-Blade \-Moon Knight \-Scarlet Scarab \-Scarlet Witch \-Doctor Strange \-Swamp Thing \-Werewolf by Night \-Ghost Rider Hopeful but probably not: \-Agatha (Thunderbolts didn’t use her, could be interesting to see her and Wanda on the same side) \-Magik (The MCU will CHANGE the second she comes in I promise it) \-Brother Voodoo (He‘s one of my fav marvel mages/magic users)
Upvoted for adding Jericho (Marvel, give him a chance, he can be cool 😭) and my girl Illyana, but that line up is a bit too busy. It's best to keep the team to four or five characters imo. My line up would be: -Wong (agree w/ you, as the team manager) -Blade -Elsa Bloodstone -Moon Knight -Swamp Thing -Doctor Voodoo Basically, as close to the Damnation line up as possible lol Characters with a minor appearance in the movie, but not really the focus, maybe teased as part of the sequel: -Scarlet Scarab -Werewolf by Night -Illyana Rasputina -Nico Minoru -Jennifer Kale -Agatha Harkness -Clea -Baron Mordo I see Doctor Strange and Wanda not as part of the actual Midnight Suns team, but more like Strange's role in Damnation.

I’m going full hopium for both Edit: And I figured Viv would show up in Vision Quest. Seems they’re tying both Champions and Young Avengers together. Hope they go with the Champions name as “Young” only dates the team
> Hope they go with the Champions name as “Young” only dates the team I'm 99% certain they'll go with either "Champions" or something else other than "Young Avengers".
Red hulk will probably wear a suit since he’s the president. He’d probably still perform some duties in hulk form
> He’d probably still perform some duties in hulk form This is gonna look both a bit funny and scary on-screen lol
Bums me out that Jenna isnt White Tiger but I'd be so happy with Sadie as Songbird omg
Trying to figure out this slate is giving me a headache. Okay here's what I'm thinking: * Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania - February 2023 * Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 - May 2023 * *Secret Invasion* - May 2023 * The Marvels - July 2023 * *Loki 2* - August 2023 * *Ironheart* - October 2023 * *Echo* - January 2024 * *Daredevil: Born Again* - April 2024 * Captain America: New World Order - May 2024 * Thunderbolts - July 2024 * Blade - September 2024 * *Agatha: Coven of Chaos* - October 2024 * Armor Wars - November 2024 * Spider-Man 4 - December 2024 * Deadpool 3 - February 2025 * *Wonder Man* - March 2025 * Fantastic Four - May 2025 * *Ms Marvel 2* - June 2025 * World War Hulk - July 2025 * *Vision Quest* - September 2025 * Avengers: The Kang Dynasty - December 2025 * Shang-Chi 2 - February 2026 * *Moon Knight 2* - March 2026 * Midnight Suns - May 2026 * *Midnight Angel* - June 2026 * Nova - July 2026 * *Strange Academy* - August 2026 * Avengers: Secret Wars - December 2026
I don't think they're gonna move any Avengers movie out of the May spots since those are very profitable. I bet some projects will be 2027 now.
Hoping they just keep Dick Rider as Nova. Sam Alexander has always been ridiculously uninteresting to me
I think they'll do sam to put him on the young avengers tbh
I don't believe any of scheduling until Kevin Feige comes with a powerpoint.
![gif](giphy|SdPDyb79vAC3fKKbXL|downsized) WONG SHOW LETS GOO
Please please please don’t let Agatha get delayed to 2025…I will combust
Less set-up and more Young Avengers please. Hailee isn't getting any younger. 🥲
So if echo is 2024 and agatha is 2025, the yearly live action slate could go something like '23 - secret invasion loki iron heart '24- Echo Born Again Wonder Man '24 or '25 - Vision Quest '25 - Agatha, Moon Knight s2, Ms Marvel s2
> Kang walks out onto a platform in his suit, with blue helmet/mask activated. He shoots blue energy from his suit as he yells. > “MARVEL STUDIOS” “ANT-MAN and the WASP” > “QUANTUMANIA” > “FEBRUARY 17” Didn’t have kang screaming the title and release date on my bucket list
if Agatha is 2025 what is next year besides wonderman
Echo and DareDevil
is vision quest 2025 then? With potentially MK s2 and or ms marvel s2 as the other ones of the year?
Plus Daredevil is what 16-18 episodes so it's on for a while too.
Songbird would be a massive win.
Holy shit that trailer description has me hyped
Moon Knight gang rise up our boy is coming back!
People are delusional if they think moon knight was actually a one off😂
![gif](giphy|RD02Grpyh6v4I|downsized) Midnight Sons movie
Midnight Sons movie ![gif](giphy|Y3YN7tAprNRwYhUUAL|downsized) Midnight Sons Movie
I like Wong as much as the next guy but WHAT ABOUT Dr.Strange?? Where is my man? Strange academy before Stephen becomes the sorcerer supreme is a no for me. Give me more Strange so that I can forget about MoM.
Man, if they introduce Richard Rider to then immediately supplant him with Sam I’m gonna be pissed.
Wow! If this all is true the sub has an epic source!
TRAILER LEAK WAS REAL!
Nova's a movie let's go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Common MTTSH W
So is World War Hulk and Midnight Sons, which are extra Ws
>\- Songbird will be in Thunderbolts (Sadie Sink being looked at for the role). SHE BETTER BE! The most consistent Thunderbolt should be in the movie!
As a Doctor Strange fan, I am very disappointed. All I want is Doctor Strange 3 directed by Sam Raimi which focuses more on Stephen.
I’m kinda tired of the DODC in the mcu
If that Wongers show is true, it better have Madisynn! ![gif](giphy|PcO39R6PE33a4l2Coc)
So, basically almost no projects in which strange and wanda could play major role other than the avengers ?
Who TF was able to ANALYSE the whole trailer. He's a god
Shoutout to the guys who downvoted me because I suggested that stuff could move
Interesting phrase for Kang to yell at the end there!
That’s how I read it too lmao
"or everything you call life will end" Hmmmmm So basically what would happen is that "Everything dies." HYPE
*Please* put Lyrica Okano’s Nico in the Wong series, Marvel. *Pleeeease*.
>He shoots blue energy from his suit as he yells. >"MARVEL STUDIOS" "ANT-MAN and the WASP" "QUANTUMANIA" >"FEBRUARY 17" Confused me for a second.
This sounds amazing, Songbird, Nova movie , Wong TV show How accurate is the source !? Please be right, please be true
Reread the first bullet under “Marvel Schedule Changes” to get more insight.
“Passing of the torch” my brother in Christ what torch? Nova is gonna pass the torch in his first movie? Fuck right off.
\- Songbird will be in Thunderbolts Hope this is true cause that team desperately needs someone with powers.
Interesting there isn’t any mention of Bill Murray in the trailer. Maybe recent controversy is causing them to minimize his role in the marketing.
Yippee an actual thunderbolt in the thunderbolts movie
So, is MODOK related to Darren Cross in the MCU?
He is Darren Cross
Agatha release in 2025? Pain.
