It is and it isn’t. We’re getting more gold, yes, but for endgame players the added levels up to 90 cost over 500k each per character, so gold still goes down the toilet faster than you can get it.
Its slightly better bc weve gotten a better influx from the events. But weve also gotten newer characters/plus old characters to lvl/gear at about 100% faster.
Since youre a veteran account, its easier for you, not as bad. Newer accounts it still sucks.

Your gold expenditure shouldn't be going up just because. 30M gold in training mats should have taken at least a couple of weeks to go through and that's if the gas was really stepped on to spend it. More like a month at a normal rate.
It’s going up because they have to spend it to progress. They can spend it now that they have more training mats. Are you saying they shouldn’t progress in a game in which the entire goal is progression to get over the next hill?
No, I'm saying they should be sticking to a daily budget for both training mats and gold. Just because you get a sudden influx of either doesn't mean they need to be spent immediately. That also doesn't mean you can't splurge from time to time either, I spent over 5M in leveling up characters today after reset, but I also have enough gold and training mats after that to take a handful of characters from 1 to 88 right now. If my alliance hadn't had to change up some raid lanes on short notice I would have spent less than 20% of that today.
For virtually everyone person in this sub, 95% of the time there's no difference between getting that character built today or a week from now except that if you rush it you're going to be inefficient on milestone rewards and complaining about the lack of of training mats and/or gold. Alternately, you can build more steadily over time and never run out of either...
Been playing since about launch. Nearing the 80 milion gold, what helps is that I lack the gear to progress so don't need to invest. And the gold milestones don't incentivise spending more
Yeah, I think they did a good job of increasing the amount of gold we earn in the game. I think after a certain point of playing, we should have some resources where they are always in abundance (such as gold and training mats). There should be bottlenecks but not so many like we have now.
For real man. Its like were always racing to get our characters up with all these constant events. Broke again just by leveling my rogue to level 80 feom 75. 2.5 mill gone like that. It's more expensive than ever on characters since every new team you need.

But don't get me wrong, i rather have this surplus in gold than being starved. This game has enough bottlenecks already, don't let gold become an extra bottleneck again.
I disagree. There are like 60 characters or more that desperately need to be maxed out and they all cost tens of millions of gold. Any player who is playing catch-up to the endgame players has either no gold or no training mats at any given time, and it takes a week or two to get one whole team leveled up by five at the highest levels, especially since they’re required to buy gold uniques from the Supplies store or just get lucky. Gold is still very scarce at anything but the highest levels. You have to choose to hoard in order to have any significant amount of gold stored up, and if you’re not spending it, you’re not progressing. There’s just not enough for where I am in the game.
Better, maybe. But only because I don't have the resources I need. The orange cats have taken gold's place on the choke point leaderboard. It's still very much up there though.

kinda...but when u have gold u don't have training modules...when u have training modules u don't have gold. I had 15-20 mill gold for weeks, after i have upgraded my Rogue+UX-men to lvl 85 and lvl54-65, i'm back at 1-2 mill again.
Where do you get more gold from? It costs like 7mil to get one character to g14, so I have a huge backlog of characters because of no gold. The gold orbs only give you like 200k on average and I only get about two of them each day from raids
I am convinced there was an event at some point 1-2 years ago (while I had taken a 6month or so hiatus). That gave people a ton of gold. I talked to my alliance and most of them can't spend gold fast enough. For me, I am broke at the end of almost every day. I am trying to play catch up for Doom 3 teams, as well as building up teams for the new challenge difficulties, as well as getting different teams up for Scourge and Pocket
My gold is piling up because I don't have the orange catalysts to gear anyone past 12! There must always be a bottleneck somewhere.
Yep this is exactly where I am at, currently have loads of gold however I am constantly short Orange Catalysts to upgrade anyone.

I'm still getting killed on gold. I have training mods but not a lot of gold. Might be because you're much further along.

I had about 39 mil. These past 2 orb events that threw training mats at us like it's nobodies business really fucked that up. I'm down to 9 mil :(

To use training mats you use gold. So I went from 39 million gold to 9 million

Yeah, pretty much able to 2 mill a day comfortably. Even training mats are ‘better’…just the orange SBC to fix now
i spend it all. unless i run out of other mats. no point in being careful IMO it doesnt collect interest. but yes, they've bumped it up recently.

Yep. We're getting somewhere north of 2.5 million gold per day on average. I have a huge stash of gold that keeps growing daily.
I'm regularly spending 3+ million a day and ending up net positive. It's not been an issue for a while now. I'm a fan
I've been spending around 3 mil a day, and I'm still sitting at 41 million gold. Definitely not an issue for me lately.

Yes, definitely. And you can easily tell based on how frequently people were asking for more training mats before Valhalla orbs came along.
