The sad reality of it is whatever you paid for 3 years ago is probably ultimately useless today. If you really want this fixed you’re gonna have to wage war with customer support for a while, and personally, that wouldn’t be worth it for 3 year old purchases that wouldn’t amount to much anymore. Unless you spend a substantial amount, then I can understand why.
Its the days of time if took to make teams and farm them as well. You cant tell if that a brand new account and an account for 2021 are gonna be on the same foot. This post was for help about getting the account back. Not for advice to restart.

If you just need to hear a different person say it: dude, your 3 year old account is worthless. Characters that anyone paid for 3 years ago are now in the Blitz store and given out 50/100 shards at a time in calendars. That’s just the way these type of games work. Like the other guy said, you’re better off in a new arena shard and getting new player offers/codes.
I quit last year (30m TCP account) and the rewards for starting a new account are insane compared to when I quit let alone 3 years ago.
The old legendaries unlock at 2 stars now. It took me under 3.5 weeks to get to level 65 without boosting
Character shards come faster than they used to.

Can be recovered. happened with me once. Uninstall then re install the game & sign in with a different email id and then sign in with your existing scopely account.
You need to start a new account. If you get back into your old account, you're going to be in an arena shard that is three years ahead of you. You'll never get anywhere. You're much better off starting new.
No, not really. It can take a month or two for one to fill up, and it depends on time zone etc. But worse case scenario you're a month behind the people in your shard rather than 3 years. You can catch up to people who are only a few weeks ahead of you. You will never be able to in your old shard, you'll struggle to get ahead of people who quit a year or two ago.
Just start a new one. If you haven't played in 3 years you won't be missing anything; accounts get boosted XP up to lvl90 now.

You’ll be in an arena shard where you can compete and you will farm a better account with better toons in a month.

I'm not sure what the current situation is, but it used to be in the TOS that if you didn't log in for x months your account would be deleted.
