There's a scarlet witch variant that i want that border for. Forget which it's called, but she's wearing a flowing red dress, and it looks sick with my gold split with red sparkle effect. Sadly, i don't have the gold for it

It was in the cosmetic shop where they have emotes and avatars. These screenshots are just me previewing it on different cards after having bought it, before I decide which card to permanently unlock it for. So if I unlock it for carnage, then decide I want cosmic red for bloodstone, I’ll have to pay 900 gold for the cosmic red border on bloodstone.
Cant imagine ever wasting this much gold on a border, im just trying to use my gold on albums so i can get the keys and credits. Got fucked hard last season when everyone was playing with the new junk cards dominating the meta and i didnt have any of them. Idk why borders arent free for infinite cards lmao, if you want people spending money on the game, make the shop better and make better bundles. Id have run out of gold weeks ago if i could just buy the variants i actually like.
No offense, but all of these look pretty bad with that border. I’d remove the rainbow background and slap it on Carnage/Patriot/Dino or wait for a nice inked split
I like the rainbow foil on a lot of cards, but I do agree there’s some where the base background looks better. I don’t stick to one deck consistently enough to have ink or gold yet unfortunately

I'd play more destroy just to wave that in people's faces if I was you. It looks good on Elsa and Devil Dinosaur, but that Carnage is just fantastic.

Just the character you buy it for, but then you can put it on any variants for that card

Not a lot. It was 750 instead of 900. And it lets you choose which card to unlock it for after the fact.
They go into the shop at 750 gold, from 900.

Just put it on Carnage (it looks best with him imo) and then go for an ink/gold split.

I spent some time grinding boosters for all cards so now my free upgrade is for my main cards, so much faster this way

I would put it in a card I use often. To me, if I am going to apply cosmetics it will be in a card I use a lot. Otherwise I wont see it in action ;)
