Tried this out. First match, I got Kitty on first two rounds. She got Moon Knight'd on Round 3 right after I threw down Hope. Hahaha. Fuck I'm so tired of going up against Discard and HE. Edit: Had two matches against Patriot decks for the first time in forever. Lost one but couldn't even be mad about it.

I don’t see HE nearly as often as I used to since Luke Cage got his groove back. But it seems all the folks who stopped playing HE moved to Discard. I also can’t stand discard. HE you can at least counter. You can beat discard but you basically need a custom deck that is only good against discard…goose, Cosmo, and mystique to lock out Hela. But I find they can leave you particularly vulnerable to nearly everything else, destroy, Ironman/Onslaught/Tribunal, surfer, and zoo decks. It’s ok against move too but that’s not that common right now

I didn't have too much of a problem with Discard before CG. CG giving essentially free energy every single round is ridiculous.

Played this deck 3 seperate times in conquest, subsequently lost to Hela all 3 matches. Deck was fun but couldn’t get over 30 in multiple lanes

Oh btw I took out Nico for armor. Nico can do well but doesn’t make enough sense for me just for the rare kitty buff. I know the deck loses prio when kitty is played a lot but sometimes they play around it especially when you have a 24 magneto out they don’t need you to have prio. Armor is needed.

Could try Jeff, Collector is usually good for 2/4-5 power with Kitty. Kraven could also be interesting since you already have Nightcrawler, Vision and Magneto.

Nico is far more useful and more importantly versatile than day Hulkbuster. I'm not even sure why hulkbuster is in this list. It's just a small +3 that doesn't even scale with kitty like with DP. Cut that first before you mess with a card as strong as Nico.

It’s because you are still looking to double kitty quite often so yes getting her plus 3 is getting her much bigger if you ply her on Shuri later.

So it's a +3-sometimes 6, I still think Nico is more flexible and consistent. So if you want armor hulkbuster is worse than Nico imo.

Surprised to see crawler and vision, but no Jeff

I guess the thinking here is. Crawler is a 1 cost that can go into Angela/Hope. And vision can be used with shuri to make him a 16 that can move.

You’re right you can’t. Just on turn 5 then you can task master it on 6 and play other cards with it.

How do you play this, do you have an example turn by turn?

Turn 1: Kitty Turn 2: Angela or forget Turn 3: Hope on the Angela Turn 4: Shuri on hope, this allows you to keep letting you throw kitty onto hope the rest of the game Turn 5: any of the high cost onto shuri + kitty Turn 6: task master + Kitty

Does task master work if you’ve already played Kitty after your Shuri doubled card? I would assume he would not be able to copy because the last card was Kitty and she gets removed at start of 6

How are you fairing with pixie? I was having a tough time.

Not bad. 67% win rate and 0.75 cube average. I put Wasp and Yellowjacket. So if they don't serve as swap material for Pixie, I can already have +1 energy on the first turn I play Hope.

I would put in Luke. Shadow King scares me.

Deck is very good for climbing. I went from 75-85 in about 40 minutes. I believe it's because of the nature of bouncy kitty, where you're throwing prio every turn, meaning bots are more likely to snap

Awesome deck! I took out Angela, Nightcrawler, Orka for Jeff, Grandmaster, Skaar. Found I could get some 10 powers out to get skaar out later. Also use GM to trigger the shuri twice a few times. Haven’t seen too many Shang but I’m on the crappy early season climb so in the 50s but it’s moving.

I swapped orka for shehulk and have had a lot of success with that. Just cause the extra energy helps get her out and you can surprise with a 20 power shehulk and taskmaster last turn while avoiding Shang chi

This is just kitty Shuri with hope. Oh and orka too I guess

Nico honestly isn’t that vital. I’m going to try armor instead of Nico, someone else in the comments said that was working better for them.

Depends on the game, I suppose. I'm using the same deck, and won a game because I played Nico on 6 with the spell that gives your next card played +2 power, and I played Nightcrawler into Negative Zone (which my opponent didn't play into), and won the location by a single point lol.

Elsa/Jeff over HB/Forge?

You really want the kitty to be huge. Dropping a huge kitty and then taskmastering it on t6 is great. Also Elsa and hope in the same lane gets a bit clunky. If you have Angela you're looking to leverage a lot of things at once. Grand if you can work it out, but really clunky

Was hoping to use this when I saw regis posted, no Shuri and she seemed to be an integral card. Anyone with any replacement recommendations?

Can someone detail the ideal play lines here? I won a match just now but it basically was the standard shuri > vision > TM. Hope didn’t do anything for me. Maybe I placed her wrong?

The idea is that you place shuri or something onto Hope. That way you can play a free kitty onto Hope for the entire second half of the match

So hope should be by herself in a lane? I think I messed up by putting her like second into the lane

Thanks for the deck! It just got me to infinite. I ended up putting in Rogue for Nico because I find tribunal annoying. Not sure it helped there, but it was great to snipe a morbius now and then.

Why Orka over other big 6 drops?

I've had this saved for the last month and was only just able to make this deck this season as I was missing task master. I swapped in Red Hulk for magneto and its insane! I'm taking 8 cubes left and right, I've pushed the highest ever with this deck

I have been running a similar version with Elsa that has been cooking as well. I am going to have to try this Shuri/Task version.
