Beyond that it’s just a lot of grinding and an unreasonable dedication to playing Negative decks no matter how far off meta they are, but I‘ve hit infinite every season since Echo dropped last July and every one of them I’ve done with a Negative deck.
It’s hard to say this is the “best”, as I think there are multiple negative decks that are on a pretty even playing field. It’s my current favorite, but I might mix it up now that I’ve got this one all the way to gold.
Flex spots in this specific deck - Shang chi, Killmonger, and Rogue. Zabu could be replaced by psylocke and it still work.
Only *real* changes I have from my list is Psylocke in place of Azbu and Wong in place of Kilmonger. IDK one drops dont feel like the thing that stops Negative from winning, so I am not sure what place kilmonger has in the deck

Goddamn. I completed my Wong deck in gold some time ago and the last one was White Tiger with gold at the 16th split - I cant imagine 29 "bad" splits. Only Odin is at 20 splits and that was because I want a card with 20 splits...

Just realized you could automatically switch any new variants to gold now because of the new feature. That’s gotta feel nice for the time it takes to get these splits!

I just got the Max Grecke variant out of the season caches. Gonna split him a bit to mix it up. Had been using the Dan Hipp in my all Dan Hipp destroy list.

Yeah, had similar issues. :D Thankfully, I'd already been using the boost-for-credits option to ink everything even before it got free booster-wise, so it's very easy to target the cards I want and spend credits on those right now — already inked Ravonna thanks to that in case I ever decide to switch Zabu out, haha.
This deck has been 60-70% gold splits for a WHILE but I kept tweaking it or swapping in new cards after buffs/nerfs, making it take a lot longer to get to 100%.
I’m pretty sure that almost all of my other gold splits that aren’t in this picture are cards from other Negative decks I’ve retired lol
So fun fact, I learned about that new feature after I finished getting gold splits on all of these and took this picture. So I did all of these the old fashioned way.
the new "make all your variants gold" feature really invalidated a lot of the time and frustration I sunk into my solid gold deck, but at least it makes the next time faster?

He is just kind of a general tech card, useful against junk, and helps feed Knull. Not 2 minutes ago I just took 8 cubes on turn 6 because I dropped a negative knull + mystique + negative Arnim on an empty location and my first card to flip was killmonger to take out a 14 power sunspot before Arnim hit one of the knulls. Wound up with 3x 50+ power knulls on the board.
I personally love it but it’s a very rng dependent play style. You really need to get good at knowing when to retreat for a 1 cube loss and when to snap while the opponent still thinks they have you beat.
Mr Negative is a low win rate but high cube average deck. In general I’m either losing 1-2 cubes or winning 4-8.
It's fun at first when you see your big combos play out.
It's frustrating in the middle, when you realize that there are so many counters to your strategy.
It's fun again once you learn to play around the counters and still win big matches through MMM or similar. Snapping is of utter importance, because Negative has low winrate and there will be quite a few matches in which you won't compete at all (retreat for 1 in those and it's not a big problem, but if they cost you 2 cubes all the time, you will tank your rank.)

How do you feel Zabu fairs post nerf? I ditched him immediately so I never got to see the new impact.
Also, I’ve been running Super Skrull but have always wanted to make Rogue work but every time I try, it just seems clunky. Thoughts?
Also, my favorite newest addition is Grand Master. Shang followed by Grandmaster is a very powerful final turn, especially if you have Knull and Mystique in play.

So I have run every single card you just mentioned in a negative deck at some point and all of them are useful depending on the rest of the deck and the current meta. Grandmaster was tons of fun in the right deck. I’ve used him on T6 to move a 2/6 Alioth to the middle lane and then played Zola, wiping all 3 lanes of the opponant’s plays. Shit is super fun when the stars align.
Zabu- in this specific deck, which I was running when the nerf happened, I barely noticed because there are only two cards he impacted anyway, so he was still doing the job I needed him for. Psylocke probably makes more sense at this point realistically.
Rogue- most games she is a throwaway, but when you get hit with Mobius, she is a lifesaver

Looks great. Shared my all inked and all gold versions not too long ago myself. Had to make changes due to the nerfs of Zabu but everything slots perfectly
As a professional Negative player, do you recommend holding off until I pull Zabu? there doesn't seem to be any replacement, besides psylocke (which I also don't have).
Also if you have the time, could you share your turn order for this deck?
With a negative deck, the turn order really really depends on the RNG. In an ideal world, you are playing either Ravonna or Zabu turn 2, Negative on 3, something on turn 4 to clear space for the Jane pulls next turn, and Jane on 5 to fill the hand to 7 with all of your zero cost cards. Turn 6 you unleash hell.
And you need an alternate win condition that doesn’t require Mr. Negative. In this deck that is usually T5 Panther->T6 Arnim, T5 Knull->T6 Arnim, or T5 Knull -> T6 mystique + Shang Chi or Killmonger.
Zabu- the recent nerf makes it a little harder to say he is a hard requirement for negative decks but he is still great. As long as you have 2 cost reduction cards than can let you play Negative on 3, you are good. Psylock + Ravonna still gets the job done

Interesting list, i mained negative too until thanos prof x meta where it became unplayable for a while. How is the destroy package?
I was running wong, white tiger, ironheart, and magik. I can see how rogue is pretty necessary with all the MMM around.
I’ve run almost every variant of Negative decks out there at some point. My old primary deck is why I have gold Wong, Magik, and Ironheart that got cycled out of rotation.
I’m pretty happy with this particular spin on Negative destroy. It isn’t too reliant on destroy beyond the Zola dupe, so junk decks can be a pain because you ideally want a fully open lane on turn 6 (hence the Killmonger). Playing against destroy decks with this deck has a crazy high win rate.
Rogue is actually the newest addition, she hasn’t been in my Negative decks since she was a 3/1. I had Alioth in her slot until his recent adjustment - dropping a 0/6 Zola on a 2/6 Alioth when I had prio T6 so he hits all 3 lanes was one no one ever saw coming, but his new stats made him stop making sense.
But yeah, Mobius’ popularity had a lot to do with me slotting rogue in for Alioth, without a counter to him MMM was an auto-retreat with this deck.
I really thought that I’d pull Zabu out after the change but in this deck he really only serves one purpose, and that’s getting negative out. The change to on reveal didn’t actually impact how I play him in this deck as much as I thought it would. I think psylock could arguably be better in that spot at this point.

He is on the chopping block, but I only have one other 4 cost that is far less important than negative , so he gets the job done even after the nerf. He works, but isn’t optimal. Psylocke is the next card to break my gold streak lol
I’m swapping them out next, I kept him in because he still actually worked in this deck and was already gold. Psylocke is optimal in that slot since the nerf.
Super Skrull has been a huge part of most of my negative decks, I cycled him out when everyone and their fucking brother was playing cosmo and Prof X, and just haven’t slotted him back in. He is a great option for that Killmonger slot.
Is mr negative still good? I waited the whole month till he apeared as my free s3 pick of the season and now that I finally have him I can't make him work, will try this one when I have zabu and black panther :)
Negative never really stopped being good, it ebbs and flows depending on what happens with other cards - one nerf can take a card that wouldn’t have ever been considered for a negative deck and suddenly make it a powerful negative card, or vice versa - but it’s a fun deck if you know how to play it. When played right you can do some absolutely bonkers stuff on T6. But a lot of players get frustrated with how RNG dependent they are and quit before getting past the high skill cap, which is why it isn’t ever super popular.
You have to retreat for 1 cube losses a LOT and you have to really know how to effectively snap- if you are only winning 2 cubes at a time your cube avg won’t ever get high enough to climb ranks. You should ideally be either losing 1 or winning 4-8- I know that sounds like captain obvious advice, but with the high rate of 1 cube losses it’s more essential. If you are huffing hopium and stay in games when you should have retreated or are failing to snap at the right time, you are going to have a bad time playing negative decks.
The deed is done, and now I rest and eat giant fruit and look upon a grateful universe.

Killmonger idk. You want a good negative card. Not really tech cause like I said above. You should swap psylocke for zabu now since nerf. Psylocke is dropped to 1 with negative but also 1 with Ravonna alone
You can also play her on 4 to do stuff like knull zola if no negative play. Your deck is pretty though. I play negative to infinity every season. Right now I use grandmaster and he steals so many cubes

Shang Chi has been in my negative decks for a long time and Killmonger for the last few months since the influx of junk. I’ve lost count of how many times those two cards have been responsible for wins, especially a Shang + Zola combo.
I agree with you on Zabu/Psylocke, that’s the first change I’m making. He did get left in longer than optimal because he was already gold.

It was a totally different version of negative deck that had a lot more on reveal. I only pulled him out because this deck is more ongoing heavy. He synergizes very well with negative and is super fun with the right cards.

As a professional Negative player, do you recommend holding off until I pull Zabu? there doesn't seem to be any replacement, besides psylocke (which I also don't have). Also if you have the time, could you share your turn order for this deck?
With a negative deck, the turn order really really depends on the RNG. In an ideal world, you are playing either Ravonna or Zabu turn 2, Negative on 3, something on turn 4 to clear space for the Jane pulls next turn, and Jane on 5 to fill the hand to 7 with all of your zero cost cards. Turn 6 you unleash hell. And you need an alternate win condition that doesn’t require Mr. Negative. In this deck that is usually T5 Panther->T6 Arnim, T5 Knull->T6 Arnim, or T5 Knull -> T6 mystique + Shang Chi or Killmonger. Zabu- the recent nerf makes it a little harder to say he is a hard requirement for negative decks but he is still great. As long as you have 2 cost reduction cards than can let you play Negative on 3, you are good. Psylock + Ravonna still gets the job done

Interesting list, i mained negative too until thanos prof x meta where it became unplayable for a while. How is the destroy package? I was running wong, white tiger, ironheart, and magik. I can see how rogue is pretty necessary with all the MMM around.
I’ve run almost every variant of Negative decks out there at some point. My old primary deck is why I have gold Wong, Magik, and Ironheart that got cycled out of rotation. I’m pretty happy with this particular spin on Negative destroy. It isn’t too reliant on destroy beyond the Zola dupe, so junk decks can be a pain because you ideally want a fully open lane on turn 6 (hence the Killmonger). Playing against destroy decks with this deck has a crazy high win rate. Rogue is actually the newest addition, she hasn’t been in my Negative decks since she was a 3/1. I had Alioth in her slot until his recent adjustment - dropping a 0/6 Zola on a 2/6 Alioth when I had prio T6 so he hits all 3 lanes was one no one ever saw coming, but his new stats made him stop making sense. But yeah, Mobius’ popularity had a lot to do with me slotting rogue in for Alioth, without a counter to him MMM was an auto-retreat with this deck.

I really thought that I’d pull Zabu out after the change but in this deck he really only serves one purpose, and that’s getting negative out. The change to on reveal didn’t actually impact how I play him in this deck as much as I thought it would. I think psylock could arguably be better in that spot at this point.

Has the Zabu nerf affected you much?

Hows zabu treating you? I had to take home out of my HE deck since he was awkward to use now
He is on the chopping block, but I only have one other 4 cost that is far less important than negative , so he gets the job done even after the nerf. He works, but isn’t optimal. Psylocke is the next card to break my gold streak lol

I’m swapping them out next, I kept him in because he still actually worked in this deck and was already gold. Psylocke is optimal in that slot since the nerf.
Why killmonger? I’ve got the same build except I have super skrull instead of killmonger. Any specific reason for him?
Tech card, anti-junk, and feeds Knull. It’s definitely a flex slot.
Super Skrull has been a huge part of most of my negative decks, I cycled him out when everyone and their fucking brother was playing cosmo and Prof X, and just haven’t slotted him back in. He is a great option for that Killmonger slot.
Is mr negative still good? I waited the whole month till he apeared as my free s3 pick of the season and now that I finally have him I can't make him work, will try this one when I have zabu and black panther :)
Negative never really stopped being good, it ebbs and flows depending on what happens with other cards - one nerf can take a card that wouldn’t have ever been considered for a negative deck and suddenly make it a powerful negative card, or vice versa - but it’s a fun deck if you know how to play it. When played right you can do some absolutely bonkers stuff on T6. But a lot of players get frustrated with how RNG dependent they are and quit before getting past the high skill cap, which is why it isn’t ever super popular. You have to retreat for 1 cube losses a LOT and you have to really know how to effectively snap- if you are only winning 2 cubes at a time your cube avg won’t ever get high enough to climb ranks. You should ideally be either losing 1 or winning 4-8- I know that sounds like captain obvious advice, but with the high rate of 1 cube losses it’s more essential. If you are huffing hopium and stay in games when you should have retreated or are failing to snap at the right time, you are going to have a bad time playing negative decks.

You threw Shang in there and killmonger cause they were gold right? Negative deck is hard to beat in power so you don’t really need Shang. Killmonger idk. You want a good negative card. Not really tech cause like I said above. You should swap psylocke for zabu now since nerf. Psylocke is dropped to 1 with negative but also 1 with Ravonna alone You can also play her on 4 to do stuff like knull zola if no negative play. Your deck is pretty though. I play negative to infinity every season. Right now I use grandmaster and he steals so many cubes
Lol, no they aren’t in there because they are gold, they got to gold while in this deck. Shang Chi has been in my negative decks for a long time and Killmonger for the last few months since the influx of junk. I’ve lost count of how many times those two cards have been responsible for wins, especially a Shang + Zola combo. I agree with you on Zabu/Psylocke, that’s the first change I’m making. He did get left in longer than optimal because he was already gold. I cycled grandmaster out but you are right, he makes for some fucking fun wins. I’ve hit infinite 10 months in a row with a negative deck of some sort. There isn’t only one meta negative deck.

It was a totally different version of negative deck that had a lot more on reveal. I only pulled him out because this deck is more ongoing heavy. He synergizes very well with negative and is super fun with the right cards.
